CHAPTER 51: Meeting History

----------------------------------------

"Fuck," I whisper as I started feeling raindrops on my face as the sun rose from the horizon. I was hoping it's just a light rain but in a split second, it came pouring down on all of us and each and every raindrop felt heavy upon impact. Everyone was waking up by the rain and we quickly ran towards a tree trying to take shelter from underneath of it.

"Ah! What is this?!" Lisa wipes the rain off her body as. I watch as the slight rain becomes heavier and heavier to the point it's blurring my vision preventing me from seeing the sun over the horizon. Dark clouds loomed above us and it looks like it’s getting worse and worse.

"We should've built a roof," Takumi whispers as he looks at the gray sky. I'm not drenched but the floor below us is slowly becoming moist as the rain slowly turned dirt into the mud. I noticed Daikichi stands up and cup his hand under the rain catching water into his palm.

"Well, good morning everyone." He says as he uses the rainwater to wash his face. I don't know how safe it is to use the water but, on a planet where there's hardly pollution, I think it's safe to even drink it.

"What a great alarm." I hear Lisa whisper as she combs her hair with her fingers.

"Look on the bright side everyone, we can use the rain to take a shower!" Amaguchi quickly ran into the open with his arms out embracing every raindrop. He started taking off his shirt as he twirls around and soon after, I watch everyone run out and away from the safety of the trees as they shower under the heavy downpour.

"Hey, guys! Be careful! The rain might get you all sick!" Ms. Sam shouted as she stayed under the tree sitting beside me. Miki-sensei also stayed behind and I guess they're more worried about what the rain can bring in this unknown lands.

"It's ok Ms. Sam, I have an antidote for a lot of sicknesses. Actually, I'll give it all to you." I say before calling out my dimensional bag. Like a kid getting a gift, her eyes sparkled at the new medicine I handed her one by one.

“This one is called flame sickness antidote. Flame sickness is basically the same as a fever but, the only difference is any sudden movement will get you vomiting everything.” I tell her as I place the box of antidote on her hand and she nods trying while inspecting it.

“Oh, they even come with instructions.” She says as she opens the box one by one before placing it in her dimensional bag. I watch her smile as she inspects the antidotes, reading the piece of paper hidden on each and every box. I turned back to everyone and watched everyone happily play around under the rain. I wish everything would stay as it is. The happiness I'm feeling might not be forever but, I wish it can last a bit longer.

If only he didn't tell me, I whisper in my mind.

I see the water under their feet turn to small puddles that quickly covered the ground with a thin layer of water blanket. I look at the river and at my surprise; it didn't look the same way I remembered. Rather than a calm shallow river, it became a raging rapid that looks strong enough to drag a bear around.

Normally, it would take a while for any river to get at that state, but in this world, everything seems to happen in an instant. As I watch the current, I notice the raft started inching slowly towards the water as the dirt underneath turned to mud sliding the raft closer to the current as it pulls it. No one noticed since they're all busy playing under the rain and if I didn't look, the raft we worked hard to build would have been swept away and in an instant, all of our hard work will be long gone before we could even reach it. Not wanting to spend another day or so building a raft, I quickly stood up and ran towards it. I noticed Daikichi and Takumi also sees the raft inching and they ran after me.

The minute I grabbed a vine that was tied into it, I slipped and fell on my ass since the mud under my feet made it impossible to get a footing. I felt the raft go towards the river and the minute it made contact with the current; I was launched towards the river with it like a rag doll. It propelled me so fast it felt like I was holding a jet engine and the minute I touched the river, I felt it pull me underwater as if someone grabbed me and yanked me straight down far enough to touch the bottom. The mud underneath me didn't help as it acted as a lubricant keeping me in that wan can easily turn into my tomb.

"Tenderize!" I shouted underwater as I swung forward. I felt an impact erupting as my body was forced up due to the recoil of my attack. My back emerges out of the water and I quickly turn around to catch some air into my lungs. I tried to breathe some air in but, the water in my lungs made me cough uncontrollably. It was difficult to even move around as the current kept trying to pull me towards one direction so I tried my best to keep myself afloat.

"Fuck!" I cursed in frustration how helpless I feel in an instant. I went through more grueling things but when I'm against the force of nature, it feels like it's a lot more difficult to deal with than the overlords.

"Yasu!" I heard a voice and I see all of them running alongside the river.

"Yasu! Hold on! We'll get you out!" Kana shouted as they all frantically ran after me.

I hear them shout from a distance as my body moved along with the river. I felt helpless as the current prevented me from swimming towards shore and it started making me feel irritated. I clench my fist as hard as I can and aim it toward the water beneath me.

"Tenderize!" I swung wildly towards the bottom of the river sending my attack exploding underneath the water. The impact caused me to fly up a few feet above the water and I didn't stop as I punched wildly below me until my skill ran out and I'm a few feet up in the air hovering over the river. I kept punching the water and the shockwave of my attacks have disrupted the flow of the current for a brief moment. I quickly look towards where the raft and the impact of my punch have sent it drifting towards Daikichi. I see the rest of them started pulling it as much as they can towards land. I felt my body starts descending towards back into the water. I prepared to punch it again when I suddenly hear a loud pop from a distance. My vision turned into a blur as I flew sideways. Whatever hit me tool the air out of my lungs and it felt like I was hit by a boulder sending me flying to the other side of the river at an incomprehensible speed.

Thud!

"Ack!" I grimace in pain as I felt my sides land on a rock coughing.

"Y-you okay?" Suyeon asked me and I nod as I cough uncontrollably. It was surprising that she would do something so dangerous.

"Hey! You guys alright?!" I hear Takumi shout and as I look, I see them stand on the other side waving at us. I see Mr. Goro-sensei and some of the guys tying the raft onto a tree.

"We're fine!" Suyeon shouted back waving at them smiling.

"Can you jump back towards the other side?" I asked Suyeon with a raspy voice and she looked at the distance for a good minute.

"Y-yeah. I think I can." She replied to me looking at the ground and then studying the distance between here and the other side.

"Ok, go first. I'll go right after." I tell her as I slowly stood up.

"O-ok." She says nodding before walking back to get some distance. I see her sprint and before she got near the water, she shouted her skills and her body became a blur as she flew towards the other side. She landed on the ground but lost her footing and ended up rolling around the mud as she tried to stop. I see some of the girls ran her way to help her up.

"Ok, my turn," I whisper as I turn around to get some distance so I can sprint. "Wha-"

I see someone stand near a tree in the forest watching me that caused me to freeze in place. We both lock eyes and I see her expression seems lifeless while fear runs through my body along with confusion and anxiety.

"M-mom!" I shouted running towards her but she turned around and went on a full sprint deeper into the forest. "Wait!"

I ran after her but my shoes weren't made for muddy terrain and I ended up falling and slipping a couple of times.

"Fuck! Seismic step!" I sprinted towards the forest only stepping on the tree roots that are protruding out the ground to lessen the times I slip and fall. I manage to gain some distance but she started running at a speed no normal person can do.

If she can match my speed while using my skill, this person is not my mother! I say in my mind as my face contorts in anger. I clench my fist so hard I felt my nails dig into my palm.

"You’re fucking dead! You impostor!" I shouted out as I bring my fist back ready to punch towards her. "Tender-"

I suddenly stopped running and hesitated for a moment as I got a sudden flash of her images smiling at me. I thought to myself, if it were my mother, it would kill her. I stared at her back and suddenly she stopped running and stood there. Right when I took the first step, her body turned into leaves floating away as the gust of wind shatters her figure and each petal float away in one direction disappearing into the forest.

"Item bag," I whispered to myself and catch my bag as it drops from thin air. The way she disappeared made me remember about the overlords. I hear a noise from my left and all of a sudden, they surround me. I turned around looking at each and every one of them while keeping a watch behind me trying to prevent one from attacking my blind spot.

"Oho~ so we meet again. So who wants to die first?" I asked as I grip the sword handle hidden in my bag turning around non-stop.

"Oh come on. You really think you can take on all of us?" He asked as he walked towards me.

"So, you want to die first?" I say smiling as I walk towards him and the rest of the overlords stepped between us blocking my path. I looked at each and every one of them trying to imprint in my mind their faces.

"Not wearing your bitch masks this time I see. Wow, some of you look really ugly." I taunt them and I see some eyebrow twitch but they never made a move as Unum walk a bit closer towards me.

"Come on Yasu, relax. We're not here to fight." He says and they all place themselves behind him. He opens his arms stopping only a few feet away from me while keeping his hands open. His demeanor reminds me of Luro that's pissing me off really bad. "Let's be friends."

"Sure~ You can be friends with my shit. You're here to die along with these little bitches you have working under you. Hello, there little bitch~" I say looking at the biggest demon out of the group. He's probably a new overlord since I didn't see him last time. A giant Minotaur. He grits his teeth as he walks towards me only to be stopped by Unum. "Ohh~ little bitch got stopped by his pimp. Make sure you use a condom up your ass when he fucks you."

"A what?" The minotaur snarls back at me showing me his teeth.

"And a toothbrush, jeez, your teeth's looks like acorns," I tell him and I can see steam coming out of his nose as he slowly reaches for the giant ax in his back.

Come on, get mad. The madder you get, the less you use your brain. I say in my mind waiting for an opportunity to strike. If he's new, he's probably the weakest out of all of them.

"Hahahaha Yasu, you have good jokes.” Unum stops the minotaur from going further as he places his hand in front of him. “I find it amusing. The inhabitants here, on the other hand, they don't know these terms."

As I get a good look at him, he looks a bit more human than all of them. Getting a clear view of what they look like without their masks gives me a better knowledge of what they really look like. Unum is similar to a human, a little bit taller than me. Only his ears and eyes are what tells him apart from actual humans from this world.

"So, what do you want? You clearly dragged me out here to kill you." I snarl at him without taking a step. As much as I want to go wild, I need to hold myself back and watch my surroundings.

"That is not true.” He tells me as he taps on his forehead. “I brought you out using your mother for one purpose, is to give you an offer. Join m-"

"Not a chance you fuck bag," I say taunting him and the Minotaur suddenly let out steam from his nose.

"Sir! Let me kill this impudent tiny being! How dare you-" The minotaur shouts and I can see he’s too hotheaded making it easier for me.

"Shut up you overgrown cow. Why don't you finger bang your asshole and get out of my way." I snarl back at him and I see veins forming on his forehead.

"Hahaha, relax, relax." Unum interrupts as he steps in front of the Minotaur giving him a glare. The minotaur retreated his head like a puppy and slowly stepped back. Unum turned around to face me and help out his hand for me to shake. "Why don't you hear me out first? Our goal might be the same after all."

"Well, if it is, why don't you tell me Luro's location?" I asked him ignoring his hand as I grip the sword inside the bag.

"It won't be that easy. Forget about his hideout, come join us and soon I'll let you meet him.” He tells me making me raise an eyebrow.

"Huh? Did I hear that right? Let me meet him? Who gave you the authority over me?" I gripped my sword as I started getting into position.

"Ah, those words didn't come out ri-"

"Tenderize!" I shouted while swinging at him and my first exploded in his face snapping my arm back as the recoil was a lot intense at close quarters. His body flew a few feet back only to crash on the ground. At the same moment, I gripped my sword with the other hand getting ready to meet all of them. The one who made a move first is the humanoid Minotaur raising his giant ax getting ready to swing at me at full force. I see veins coming back out of his forehead as anger probably surges through his body along with the other overlord. Seeing their dear leader getting smacked probably rattled their core and I see some of them ready to jump me anytime.

"You impudent human!!" The humanoid minitour shouted more words and his battle ax glowed purple as he brought down towards me using both hands. In a split second, something stopped him halfway his swing.

"Hahaha, I deserve that," Unum says as he was already in front of the Minotaur with a finger on the ax stopping it.

When did he- I suddenly jump back surprised from not noticing him move between us. As I look around, everyone looked relaxed except the Minotaur who slowly retreated back as Unum glared at him one more time. He said some words I couldn’t understand before turning to me and resuming his annoying smile.

"Think about it Yasu. The offer is the best choice. Well then, we'll meet again~" He tells me and in a split second, they all turned into leaves as the wind got stronger blowing the leaves my way. I covered my eyes and right at that moment, I hear a whisper in my ear, "They are getting closer to you. You better run."

I quickly turn around and the leaves have scattered in all direction.

"Yasu!" I hear a shout from a distance and as I look at the direction, I can see Suyeon looking round through the forest. The minute she saw me, we made eye contact for a brief moment before she started sprinting my way. She stopped right in front of me and I can see her out of breath as she probably ran around the forest non-stop.

"I-I saw you run away chasing someone." She says as she tries to catch her breath. "W-who was it?"

This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

"No one. Let's go back." She nodded in silence as she tries to breathe some air in. I waited for her to calm down a bit and we both started walking through the forest heading back where I think I came from. I ran so far that, I'm starting to get lost, as all the trees look the same in all direction. Suyeon probably noticed that I was getting irritated, so she stopped me from walking further. The rain wasn’t helping and the wind was still strong enough to keep blowing leaves and broken twigs everywhere.

"Give me a minute." I hear her say and she ran a bit of a distance. "Jump!"

I see her body was flung upwards above the trees and as she drops down, I was anticipating for her to make a scene getting myself ready to catch her, but she remained silent while extending one leg towards the floor. Right when she hits the ground, I hear her shout her skill again erupting the ground below her stopping her for a brief moment before landing on the ground safely. She quickly dusts off the mud on her legs before running right to me.

"It's over there. The river is that way." She says pointing at one direction and I nod towards her amazed she started to become comfortable with heights.

"Well, what do you know, you're not a fool forever," I whisper as I pass her walking towards the direction she pointed at. Thinking about the last thing Unum said, my slow walk became faster and faster until I was sprinting towards the river. I know he wasn't talking about Suyeon when he said ‘them'. That means it's more than one person.

Those assholes, they're getting close. I whisper in my mind as I run through the forest using the roots as my foothold to prevent myself from slipping on mud. Suyeon managed to keep up and run behind me until we reached the river. The raging rapids have turned into monstrous currents dragging trees as I see some float by in an instant. As I squint my eyes to get a better look through the rain, I see them near the boat struggling to keep it ashore as the water from the river rose so much it's dragging the boat back in the river.

"Suyeon! Jump! Seismic step!" I shout and I felt the vibration under my foot as I prepared to jump to the other side. I bent my knees and quickly extended them out jumping forward. The ground erupted behind me and a few seconds after, I heard another pop as Suyeon jumps across the river right behind me. We both land over the raft and I quickly ran towards it grabbing on a vine that's tying the logs together. Using my strength, I pulled it as much as I can towards the forests and I see Takumi quickly tying a vine on a tree and tying the other end onto the raft. He made a few loops from the tree and back to the raft creating a much stronger rope that looks like it'll hold the raft in place during the storm. That is if the tree doesn't come off.

"Holy shit, what the fuck is this?! A hurricane?!" I look around and the wind has gotten way stronger making it difficult to even open my eyes. I probably didn't notice since I was so focused on running but the rain earlier has turned into a raging storm swaying the trees in all direction. The water has risen so much and so fast that it's starting to touch the raft and it covered our toes.

"Yasu! What do we do?!" Daikichi asked as they all held onto a tree. I look around and I can see water filling up in all direction as the forest is starting to look like a swamp. I have never experienced something like this and I don't think Takumi has also as I see him with a confused expression as we all watch the water rise in the forest covering the ground. It seems as if the water is escaping directly under us slowly filling up the world.

"Get further in the forest and climb a tree!!" I shouted as I run towards the forest and everyone did the same. Everyone climbed the biggest tree as fast as they can. The water rose so fast that it seemed like the land is sinking. If we tried to run towards higher ground, we won't make it and end up swimming. With this wind and the strength of the current, our best bet is to hold onto a large tree hoping it won't fly away.

I notice the water suddenly got faster as it increased slowly sinking everything. The wind has doubled in strength causing some of the smaller trees to topple over ripping from its roots. I quickly took out a dagger and lodged it in and held on as strong as I can. I glance at everyone and most of them are hugging the branches trying not to fly away. I hear a loud splash from a distance and everyone screamed in unison.

"Kana!" Daikichi shouts as Kana fell to the water below. She quickly emerges out the water but her body was quickly drifting towards the river. I see her pass my tree as she desperately grabs onto broken barks.

"Kana!" I shouted as I pulled out the dagger from the tree and nose-dived into the water. As soon as I emerge, I was right next to her and I grabbed her by the waist as I lodge a dagger on another tree we both came up upon. The current going towards the river was so strong it felt like my arm will rip from my body as I held onto her. It feels like there's a hole somewhere flushing the whole forest yet, the water seemed infinite. I tried my best to hold on for both of us but I felt the dagger slowly inching out of the tree.

"Yasu! Kana!" Daikichi shouts our names and I see him starting to climb down his tree.

"Don’t!!" I can't save both of you at the same time!" I shouted towards him and this made him climb back up. I looked at Kana and shouted in her ear as the winds made it impossible to hear each other. "Kana, climb first!"

She nods as I used all my strength to put us between the tree and the current right before the dagger came loose. Placing us between the tree and the current makes it easier since the current is pushing us against the tree. I handed her both daggers and she started climbing with it. I spot her from the bottom just in case she slips. If she falls, I can grab her and stop her from drifting away. As soon as she got on top of a branch, I called out my bag and to take out two more daggers. I used my teeth to hold the bag while I struggled with one hand trying to take out a dagger while the other hand hugged the tree.

"Yasu! Watch out!" I hear Kana’s voice above me and when I look back, I see boar coming right at me as it struggled to keep itself afloat.

"Shi-" It crashed onto me and I lose my grip on the tree as both of us went under water for a minute. As soon as I emerge out, I was already a few feet away from the tree and I hear everyone shouting my name over and over again. I looked around but I wasn't in any reach of anything.

"Tenderize!" I shouted my skill as I punch below me but this time, even my attack couldn't break the flow of the current. "What the fuck!"

I tried every skill but nothing was helping me at all. The current kept dragging me until my back hit something as I felt a sharp object digging into my skin. I almost went underwater but whatever's behind me is stopping me from sinking any deeper.

"The raft!" I shout while hastily grabbing on trying to climb up. As soon as I got up, I got on all four preventing myself from flying off as the raft sways in all direction.

"Item bag!" I caught my bag with one hand as I kept the other hand on the raft. I quickly took out a vine I stored in there long ago and used it to tie myself onto the raft. I don't know how long this hurricane will last and I don't want to take my chances and rely on my endurance. I thought about jumping to a tree using my skill but the wind that blows everywhere is so strong it can easily prevent me from jumping straight.

I used the vine and tied it on my waist creating a few loops. I tied the other end on the side of the raft where the other rope is tied to that connects to the tree. I lay on my stomach and held on the raft with one dagger on my hand. Just in case the raft topples over; I need something to cut the vine. I don't to be dragged underwater with it. I rather take the change of drifting away using the raft. I might reach another tree that I'll be able to grab ahold of. I thought about using the rope that connects the raft to a tree but, it looks like it's going to break any minute so I limited my movement and just hoped the wind gets weaker for a bit to be able to jump off towards the forest.

I'm not going to die. I'm not going to die. Dammit! I shouted so many curse words in my mind as I get frustrated at the situation. I can beat any enemies that come my way but when it comes to nature, even I can't win. I tried calming myself by controlling my breathing but the swaying of the raft makes it harder to even get a calm mind. I have to shift my weight constantly to try and stabilize myself and prevent the raft from toppling over.

The wind, the rain, the sound of the current was so loud I couldn't hear anything. I tried looking up towards them but the wind and the rain make it hard to open my eyes and get a better vision of where they are. As I spot Kana, she's hugging the branch as the wind started swaying some of the trees and in that split second, I felt something hit the bottom of the raft as it flew a few feet up in the air along with me. My grip slipped on the side and I started free falling along with the raft. As I look up, I saw a gray blur in an instant right next to my face and I lose consciousness.

       Yas-

      Yasu-

       Yasu…

"Yasu!" I come to my senses as I slowly open my eyes. I feel someone tries to shake me awake and I tried to speak but my voice won't come out as I wanted.

"Yasu! Guys, he's awake! Yasu we're safe. The storm stopped suddenly and everything went calm." I hear Kana's voice and I tried looking at her but my vision is still too blurry to make out which face I'm looking at. I tried to speak again but I felt weak to even utter a word.

"R-ru-" I tried speaking but it felt like something is stopping me.

"It's ok Yasu. We'll get you somewhere safe." I hear Daikichi voice but like Kana, I could only see a blurred outline.

"R-ru-run. T-the. E-eye." I forced out as many words as I can but that's the only thing I could say. I could breathe but it felt like I forgot how to talk making me mumble like a kid.

"The eye?" Kana asked and all of a sudden she stood up and I felt my body sway. “The eye of the storm! It's not over yet!"

Most hurricanes have an eye, which is the center of the storm. The calmest part of the storm. It will seem like the storm is over but then, the wind comes from the reverse direction twice as strong.

"Help me cut him loose!" I hear Daikichi shouts as I feel a tug on my waist. I feel it come loose and someone picks up my body. I know I'm not badly hurt but for some reason, I feel my body paralyze and my speech impaired as if someone using a magic spell on me. I want to tell them to be careful but all I could do is breathe.

"Forget swimming! Let's use the raft to get deeper into the forest! The further we are from this river, the weaker the current should be!" Kana explained as I feel someone set me down right before I lost consciousness again.

.

.

.

I suddenly woke up and it took a while to understand I'm inside a classroom. Rather than waking up on a bed, I woke up sitting straight on a chair staring at a board that was recently cleaned.

"Huh, what the, where am I?" I whisper as I look around and the sun outside has begun to set into the horizon turning the sky to an orange hue. I walked toward the window and I saw a couple of students with familiar uniforms walking home.

"Tokyo? I'm back?" I whisper as I pinch myself and felt the sharp pain of having my skin squeezed tight. Everything didn't make sense in my head. The last memory I had was the hurricane in the forest. "Everyone! Where's everyone?!"

The minute I turn around, I stopped in my tracks as I see someone by the door leaning on its frame looking at me.

"Hey, Kiddo." He says and I didn't say anything. "Surprise. Hahaha, have a sit. I only have a few minutes to talk to you."

"D-dad?" I whisper as I see him walk towards me with a smile on his face. He hugged me so tightly I felt like he's choking me but I didn't move and just stood there.

"I wanted to do this for so long but as you know, I was taken away from you guys." He whispers to me as he hugged me tightly.

"What do you want? Who is it this time? Luro? Unum?" I snarl at him and pushed him back causing him to crash into some table but he was strong enough to not topple over. As he got himself steady, he gave me a look while raising an eyebrow.

"After so long and I don't even get a hug?" He tells me as I tried to figure out a way to wake up from my dream.

"Ha, get real. Who are you?" I snarl back and that's when I notice someone standing at the door with her arms crossed.

"Hurry up, I don't have all day." She says and my Dad waves her to go away.

"I know I know, give me a few minutes. I haven't seen little Ya in a while." He replies as he looks to me and gives me a warm smile. The same smile I remember in my memories he gave my mom and me. But what made me think he's real is the words he uttered out.

Little Ya, only my dad calls me that! All of a sudden, I hugged him as tears went out my eyes. "Y-you're real? Please tell me you're real."

"Hahaha don't cry, son. Have a seat, we only have a few minutes to talk." He tells me and I let go of him as we both sit on two chairs facing each other. The girl standing in the doorway gave out a low scoff before walked out.

"Hahaha forgive her, she's your age. She arrived here when she was really young so she hates these parents and kids moments." My dad tells me as I watch the girl’s silhouette walk off a distance.

"W-who is she? H-how? Are you still alive?" I asked him and yet, so many more question filled my mind.

"Well, I did die. This is the afterlife. That girl, her name is Leyla and she's an angelus. She used to be human and recently turned into an angelus." He tells me and I felt a sharp pain in my heart.

“If I’m seeing you here…I guess I died.” I say solemnly and he started laughing.

“No no no. You didn’t. I just pulled your soul here for a bit to talk to you.” He tells me and I felt relieved for a bit.

"Angelus?" I asked him remembering what he said.

"Yeah. It's a close similarity to angels." He tells me as he looks at the door where the girl was. "They just don't have wings. You'll get used to it. Now, the reason I am here is that your mind has crossed the other side of the river."

"Dad, I-I-" I tell him feeling guilty about what Luro said. I felt scared to even mention it.

"I know. I know everything that's happening." He says as he places his hands on my shoulder and I felt confused.

"You do?" I asked him thinking he might not know but all he did was nod his head as he gave me the warmest smile he can.

"That's one of the reason also why I came to you. The gods on this side are going crazy because of him. Luro is making a mess." He tells me.

"Gods? Do they exist? Luro is actually a god?" I asked him and he nods.

"Son, listen. I will tell you a bit of information about Luro since I know he won't be able to hear us talk. He used to be a son of a god from this side. Until he decided to go down and create his own planet." He explained and it felt like I was hit with a wave of sudden information. He kept explaining and it was hard to even comprehend his first sentence.

"Wait wait wait, so he's really a god?" I asked him again and he let out a chuckle nodding at me.

"Well he is, and he isn’t. He's the son of a god so he was in line to be the next god of death. Even if he's not a god, he's a very dangerous one. He's the son of Keres." He tells me.

       "Keres?"

"I know this is all new to you but, you probably have read it before, Greek mythology. It exists and so are all the gods and demons written with it. Keres is a demon, A spirit that specialized in violent deaths. She was made the new god of death after Hades disappeared and well, she gave birth to a son. And that son is Luro."

I didn't say anything and just sat there in a Daze.

"And-" My dad suddenly stopped talking as he looked on the table with a sad expression. "And we know everything he's been doing up to know. Son, I know the very crucial information he told you."

I felt like a weight has been lifted off my shoulder as my dad holds my hand and stare into my eyes.

"They sent me to you to tell you that you're the only one that can do this but, in the end, I'm going to say-"

"Hey! Stop! Don't say any more!" The girl walked back in the door and came charging towards us. "Don't you know what might happen if you disobey orders?"

"I don't care! He's my son!" My dad shouted without looking at her as I see my dad’s expression turn from anger to sadness.

"And he's the only one that can do it!" The girl shouted again getting near us and I can see her really worried.

"Wow, you’re so damn loud. Don't worry, I made my resolve long ago," I say to her and her expression just gotten worse.

Right before she talked, my dad grabbed my hand bringing my attention towards him. "But son. If -"

"It's ok dad. I have a plan. It won't happen." I smile at him and I can see he has doubts. "So, do you also watch over mom?"

"Yeah, I'm making sure she's safe and sound. She's quite worried that you and you're friends disappeared but I made sure that the gods here give her protection." Dad replies and I sigh with relief.

"Made sure? Has it's more like you've become a slave for these bastards." The girl replied and she's starting to irritate me.

"Well, if that guy is a god, why didn't the gods from this side send you useless angelus to go after him?" I snarl at her and her cyan blue eyes went wide with anger.

"What did you say?" She snarls at me as she approached me and I stood up from where I am.

"You heard me, you wingless bitch. Don't make me repeat myself." I tell her and I can see her getting more angrier.

"You two relax. Two people who have a short fuse in one room is really dangerous. You guys are made for each other." My dads say jokingly and the angelus gave me a cold glare before walking out the room.

"I rather play with my hands than that thing." She says as she walks off. Before she completely exits the door, she looked back to my dad, "You have roughly ten minutes left. Say your goodbyes."

"Ok ok, I got it." My dad says and she walked out of the classroom.

"Your hands don't even want you, you wingless bitch," I whisper as I sat back down. "What the hell is wrong with her?"

"Don't mind her. Leyla is a good kid. Reminds me of you, the female version." My dad tells me.

So her name is Leyla.I say in my mind hoping she doesn't burst in the room shouting again. It’s annoying.

"I am not like her. But, as I said earlier, these damn gods know Luro is there, why couldn't they come down and get him?" I asked him and he looked down on the table for a few seconds before looking up to me.

"Well, that's a big issue since there's a stronger force than the gods called reflectius. It's not a being but a force. Every time a god goes down with the mortals, it activates and causes havoc in the universe. Not just humans but all living things in space. Luro's presence is already creating so many changes in history that the gods need to get rid of him to make sure they can keep everything under control. But if one of them goes down there, reflectius will just double in effect and it might just destroy the whole galaxy. They can't do anything from this side since they're already having a hard time dealing with Keres here." He explained to me and somehow, I felt furious at the gods who can't control their own problems.

"But why can't they send these Angelius after him," I ask him still confused why I have to do it for him.

"They are strong here but going down in the mortal world, they're far weaker. Probably weaker than you." He tells me adding more issues to my problems.

"Tch, so they're useless," I whisper knowing the fact that the Angelius outside is probably hearing everything we're saying.

"Two minutes!" She shouted from outside the room and my dad started laughing a bit.

"Oh, and I know you might have your doubts when you wake up. When you see Luro again tell him this, Luro, gios tou Keres. He should know this language and when he hears it, watch his expression change. This is proof that this conversation we had is real. Well, I guess this is goodbye for now. But please, don't hurt yourself too much. Going to this side isn't really good." He tells me and I gave him a smile.

"I'll try," I say and I can see his expression turn a bit sad. I stood up and walked towards him and gave him a hug.

"Son, No matter what happens, I'll always be your dad." He whispers into my ear as he hugs me back.

"And I'll always be your son. Goodbye, dad. Watch over mom for me." And everything suddenly went black.

But before I lost consciousness, deep down inside, I felt guilty lying to him. I had no plan, I'll have to go through with it whether he likes it or not.
