Chapter 4: The beginning of the end part 1
----------------------------------------
“KYAAAAAAAAAA!” I hear Hiroko scream.
“Hiroko get back!” Junpei shouts out. It seems like they ran across enemies.
“Everyone get through the door quick! Help us!!” Sawada shouted out and we all rushed through the opening. What awaited us on the other side was hell incarnate itself.
It’s just unfair, really unfair. I whisper in my mind feeling a cold sweat tricking from fear. I stare at skeletons aimlessly walking around. They're nothing but bones. No flesh, no organs, no eyes, nothing but bones. All of them have incomplete set of body armor but almost all of them are holding a weapon. Their movements are so unnatural and every step they take produces a clicking sound. I felt like I was in a scene of a horror flick. My skins began crawling as I get goose bumps just thinking about walking through the horde of skeletons.
Fuck. I say in my mind, as the horde of skeletons in the room is too many to count. But, I think the skeletons aren't a problem. They don't run. They walk and they do it at the slowest pace possible. I bet we can easily outrun them if we wanted. Junpei, Hiroko and Sawada regroup with us near the door. If we didn't have torches with us, this room would be completely shrouded in darkness. Upon looking at the skeletons more; I notice something above their head.
“U-undead skeletons?” I say as I try to read it.
“They’re level 1!” Riki shouts as he grips his two-handed hammer. He looked like he was itching to swing it around as he smiled looking at a skeleton approaching us slowly.
UNDEAD SKELETONS level 1
HP 800/800
“Look! It shows their health!” Riki screamed. “I got this! Yah!” he shouted the weakest battle cry as he charges one of the skeletons with his two-handed hammer. His first swing shatter the bones scattering it around him. Upon impact, I also saw a negative number appear above the health.
“Holy shit, it’s really like a game.” I whisper looking at the enemy’s HP dropped by 85.
“HA! Skeleton! You're nothing!” Riki shouts at the horde that slowly moved towards him. His eyes look a bit crazy and I’m not sure if it’s because of his class or that how he usually is in real life. Is as if, he has a ball of energy inside him welling up ready to explode. He has a smile that makes me uncomfortable to look at him. Everyone felt relieved that he took out a skeleton with one swing but I didn't. The skeleton isn't defeated just yet. As Riki prematurely celebrate, the bones around him started rebuilding itself back until it was whole again. It did so within a couple of seconds. It locked its sight on Riki and started advancing towards him.

“Oh shit, hey watch out!” I hear Junpei shout to Riki who didn’t notice the skeleton creeping up behind him. “Hiroko! Tobi! Shoot it with arrows!”
“What the?!” Tobi screams as he sees his arrow pass through the skeleton and disappear into the blackness. Hiroko along with Tobi released their arrows but it did absolutely nothing.
“Junpei! Arrows don’t work on them!” Hiroko screams.
That’s a given. It's a skeleton, it doesn’t have flesh. For all I know, their bones are stronger than your arrow. Why are they all screaming? Panicking is the worst thing to do in this situation. I say in my mind.
I was brought back to reality when Junpei rushes towards Riki to help him with the skeleton. Just a minute ago Riki looked like a madman but now, after noticing a skeleton was creeping behind him, he froze in place and his legs are shaking as his eyes gets teary.
“Riki! Fall back!” Junpei shouts as he passes him and rushes towards the undead skeleton. “Yah!” Junpei swings his sword towards the Undead Skeleton shattering it upon impact of his sword. Again, more negative numbers appear above the skeletons head as junpei slowly shaves of the HP of the monster. But as the skeleton shatters into pieces, it only rebuilt itself back up.
“One more time!”Junpei screams as he was about to swing.
“Junpei stop!” I shout towards him. “Don't shatter it! Just pick it off bone by bone!”
He nods my way and started his swing again but this time he aimed it at the head. When his sword made contact with the skull of the undead skeleton, he managed to knock the head off and make it fly into a distance like he was hitting a home run. I guess the bone is a lot tougher since he couldn’t really slice it. It's more like he's knocking pieces of the bones of its skeletal structure. As my calculations were right, hitting only a piece of bone deals the same damage as if he were to shatter everything.
The undead skeleton did take damage but the body still stood without a head and continued to walk towards Junpei. He started attacking it piece by piece by using his sword to knock of bones part by part sending it flying every direction. Riki would have been much better handling these things since he has a two-handed hammer. But I guess fear got into him and he couldn't move. He just watched as Junpei knocked on bones one by one slowly shedding the HP of the monster up until it reached zero.
The last attack caused the undead skeleton turn into dust. Including the head that flew off earlier. We're all in awe of what just happened. We all see it in games but seeing it in real life somehow makes it more ridiculous and scary at the same time. Seeing Junpei attack the skeleton and causing random red negative numbers appear, it just left us all speechless and frozen. We see Junpei grab something near the pile of ash that the undead skeleton left behind before looking back up at us.
Junpei suddenly goes into a full sprint pointing at us. “Behind you! Watch out!”
With our focus on the battle between Junpei and the Undead Skeleton, we didn’t notice another skeleton creeping up on our right side until we hear Rikimura's shield let out a loud bang as he fell forward.
“ARGH!” Rikimura-san groan as he falls forward due to the impact of the second Undead Skeletons sword made with his shield. The skeleton swung its sword again towards Rikimura-san and he barely manage to dodge it by rolling to the side. The skeleton strength is abnormal. Sawada started attacking it the same way Junpei did. After Rikimura-san regained his composure, he charged towards the skeleton to help Sawada tear the undead skeleton piece by piece. They started with its head and moved their way down the body until its HP reached 0 prompting it to turn into dust. The sword it was using fell to the ground while it turned into ash with everything else. Junpei and Riki caught up with us and we all retreated to the dark hallway at the other side of the door.
“Is everyone alright?” Junpei asked and we all nod. He turns his head towards Rikimura who was taking the shield off his back, “Are you okay Rikimura-san?”
"Yeah, I'm fine kid. I'm not hurt, just my shield." Rikimura voice trails as he inspect his shield. We see it has a big gash down the middle. I guess this is where the undead skeleton left its mark with its sword. It’s still usable as long as the skeleton doesn't hit the same spot where the gash is or else, it creates a bigger hole.
“Better your shield than yourself," Junpei says as he approaches him and placed his hand on his shoulder. "I saw some of them also carrying a shield, maybe you can use those to replace that once we figured out how to attack them."
I peeked in the opening of the door looked at all the skeleton scattered around the room. We just dealt with two level one skeletons and we're already at this state. Junpei and Sawada seem to be tired after fighting the undead skeleton because their breathing seems faster. Riki can't seem to hold up his two handed hammers anymore. Rikimuda-san shield is damaged while me, Hiroko, and Tobi are useless against these skeletons.
“Fucking hell…this is not good.” Sawada slumps down the ground and presses his back against a wall. Tobi peaks out the entrance with me and his expression state that he's in a deep thought.
“These skeletons are level one but they feel like there’s something off with them. When they hit Rikimura-san earlier, he almost flew forward. Even though they’re level one, their strength is abnormal.” Tobi says as he turns to everyone.
"Don't forget their HP." Hiroko added onto the conversation.
"Yea that also." Tobi replies.
How do they know that's not the norm for this world? Maybe level one monsters have 500hp or higher. An assumption like these can get them killed.I say in my mind. I stayed quiet since giving out my opinions at this moment seems like it might be the wrong time.
How come I can't see everyone’s health? Does it only work on monsters?
So many different thoughts run through my mind as I try to analyze our situation. I can’t seem to shake off the feeling that there’s something wrong with this dungeon. But then again, this whole event I have been through is way out of my calculations.
Sigh*
When I noticed earlier, the skeleton has 800 health points. My DPS or damage per second is one.
That means, to kill one, I have to hit them eight hundred times?I say in my mind.
“Junpei.” Rikimura calls out to him. “When you went and fought against that skeleton down there, did you see anything the other side of the room? Like a door or something?”
“ To be honest, I didn’t focus on anything else except the skeleton that was about to attack Riki. How about you Riki? Did you see anything down there?” Junpei asked as he turns to Riki who's sitting on the ground leaning on the wall.
“N-no, I’m in the same boat as you. Somehow I just felt angry and wanted to destroy everything in there. But after seeing it build itself back up, the feeling disappeared and I froze in place.” Riki replied.
I guess that’s because of his class? I hope he doesn’t become a psychopathic battle maniac.I say in my mind.
"I guess we're going to need to fight our way through the other end to find out," Junpei spoke out while peeking through the door opening.
“Ok guys, why don’t we think of a plan to kill all of these things so we can get to the other side. Besides, they're level one so I guess it wouldn't be much of a problem if all of us attack together.” Junpei tells us as he looks away from the door and faces towards us.
While everyone was about to agree, I decided to butt in my opinion. To me, any carelessness means instant death. I don't want to die.
"That what I'm afraid of." I tell him as I turn to everyone.
Everyone turned towards me and it felt uncomfortable being the center of attention. I might be weak but I’m not dumb. I know for the fact that going through these skeletons at our current level will be more of a survival than a task we need to get done. We need to get stronger but we can’t go pushing through stuff like this without thinking of a consequence since, after all, we don't re-spawn back if we die. Even if they hate me for what I'm about to say, I don't want to die here following blindly.
“Afraid of what?” Junpei asked I’m trying to read if he’s furious but his expression leans more towards curiosity.
"Well, I don't want to interfere with your plans. But, what if there's no door on the other side?" I asked him.
"That can't be. There must be a door otherwise there’s no exit at all." He tells me. I can already see he doesn't like being told off.
"How can you be sure?" I asked him challenging his facts. He might be caught up being a leader but I don’t think he knows the consequences of his actions.
“We-I-uh—we--“ They all look at Junpei who's trying to think of an answer. But before he found one, I continued on.
“We can’t really find out until we go through all of them. Is what you’re going to say right?” I asked Junpei and he nods yes.
“But what if we do go through all of them and to only find out we wasted our time exterminating these things to basically hit a dead end? Then what? We have no food, no water, or anything to help us regain our energy.” I reply and no one responds so I continued on.
“I’m not in a position to say this but, I don’t think it’s that easy to go through these things. You guys are worn out after two skeletons what happens if we fight more than that at the exact same time? We won’t even make it to the end before we run out of energy.”
I don’t want to seem like I’m calling them weak since I’m the weakest of the group. Being called weak by something weaker than you bound to piss people off.
Am I talking too much? Is this fine? I'm just trying to survive. Even though what I said isn’t what he wants to hear, Junpei needs to hear it. He or they all might hate me for it but if no one mentions anything, this guy will just keep steaming forward and eventually might lead us to our graves.I say in my mind as my heartbeat speeds up.
Since no one is saying or mentioning anything, I feel the pressure and tension. I can see Junpei thinking properly this time but I hope he doesn't hate me for bringing it up.
This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.
“That’s true. You make a good point.” Junpei replied finally.
Oh, thank god. I say in my mind.
Junpei then turns to Sawada. “You played baseball in our world right?” He asked him.
“Yeah, why?” Sawada asked Junpei.
“How far can you throw a baseball?” Junpei asked him.
“I was the team pitcher so I can throw quite a distance.”
“Could you throw one of the torches over the other side? If we can illuminate it, we can see if there is a door or not on the other end without actually going near it.” Junpei proposed an idea.
“Ah, that’s a good idea. Sure.” Sawada says.
Good idea? I think the speed of the throw will put out the fire. I say in my mind.
Sawada grabbed one of the lit torches and prepared to send it flying over the horde of Undead Skeleton.
“Augh!!” He groans as his arms swing forward launching the torch over the skeletons. It went flying over the horde but as soon as it flipped around, the fire on the torch gave out.
“Ah, I knew it. It’s not going to work. Worth a try I guess.” Junpei says as he saw the fire on the torch disappear. I already gave too much of my input so I stayed quiet even though I knew it was a bad idea and a waste of a torch. Junpei started walking towards the darkness and turned to face us.
“Everyone! Let’s go back to the safe zone. We need to figure out a way to deal with these things and come up with a backup plan just in case there's no door on the other side.” Junpei said and we all agreed and started heading out the door where we came from. We all started walking back and Junpei indicated he would watch the rear and for all of us to move on ahead. He instructed Rikimura to be in front just in case something pops out the dark. But right before Rikimura head in front of us, he whispered something to Junpei that I managed to catch.
“You’re the leader, Don't forget it," Rikimura whispers.
A leader suppose to make valid decisions. Dumbass.I pretended I didn't hear and just continued walking. It’s always like this when you have no power. You have no voice on anything.
An hour has passed. But in reality, we don’t really know. It’s just my assumption. None of us are wearing a watch or have any electronics at all. We woke up with the last set of clothes we were wearing. As we lounge around inside the safe room, we're still thinking about how to go through the horde of the undead skeleton. Fighting them seems a little bit too reckless and running through them seems impossible. We can outrun them and probably get to the other side but it would attract too much attention. If there isn't a door on the other side, we'll be trapped and surrounded by a bunch of undead skeleton in which at our current level, is a death wish.
“Does anyone else have any ideas?” Junpei asked but everyone stayed quiet. Seems like everyone is out of ideas. But my mind is on one thing. The sword the skeleton dropped.
“H-How about the sword the undead skeleton dropped?” I asked Junpei.
Yea I want the weapon. Even if my attack is one, I have a better chance of using the sword than this frying pan.I say in my mind looking at the frying pan before stuffing it in my bag.
"Oh, yeah I forgot about that." Junpei then grabs the sword leaning at the foot of the statue. “I decided to pick it up since it might be of use. But it seems like our swords are higher damage than this thing. It lowers my DPS when I hold it.” Junpei says as hold the sword in front of me.
During our brainstorming hour in the safe room, we found another command. If you touch a weapon and look at it while saying “weapon description" it will show you the information of what you're holding. Most weapons in games will have a damage range. This world doesn't. I guess the only way to find out if the weapon is stronger than your current one is through DPS. Based on what Junpei said, when he holds it, his DPS goes down compared to his other sword.
Shitty Undead Sword
Type:
One-Hand
Durability:
100/100
Quality:
Uncommon
This sword is pretty shitty compared to a real sword. It can still do damage but not much.
“Can I have it?” I asked him. “I think the sword is better than my frying pan.”
He agrees and held the sword out towards me, “Sure, here you go.”
The minute I touch the sword and Junpei let go of the handle, the sword dropped straight to the ground.
“What the?!” The sword was really heavy. I tried my best to pick it up but I couldn’t. While struggling, a new notification popped up in front of me.
As a blade, you do not have the skill to wield a sword. All movement speed will be reduced by 80% while touching any sword.
"Oh come on!!" I let go of the sword and it drops to the floor normally making a clanking and clattering sound. Looking at the notification, I think it's mocking me.
As a blade, I don’t have the skill to wield a sword. As a blade? Are you kidding me.I say in my mind.
“What happened?!” Junpei asked me surprised and picks up the sword like it weights nothing.
“The minute you let go of the sword, it got really heavy,” I say while panting since I feel like I just ran a marathon. “I couldn’t pick it up. Then, a notification popped open in front of me and it said I can’t wield a sword.”
Sigh...There’s no doubt about it. I’m more useless now than ever.
"Let me see," Tobi says as he grabs the sword from Junpei’s hand. He then lifts it up like nothing.
What? How come he can hold the sword like nothing? He's an archer for gods sake! I say in my mind.
"Hmm, it does feel a bit heavy but nothing abnormal about it. Are you sure Yasu?" He asked me as he inspects the sword.
“I don’t know. Let me try again.” I tell him. As soon as Tobi let go of the sword on my hand, it proceeded to drop on the floor. With my grip on the handle, it brought me down with it.
“Argh!” I scream as I felt the force of the sword pulling some unused muscle in my arms.
As a blade, you do not have the skill to wield a sword. All movement speed will be reduced by 80% while touching any sword.
I let go of the sword and started catching my breath again. “Yup it’s real.”
“Hiroko, everyone, come and try to pick up the sword. Let’s see who else can’t pick it up like Yasu.” Junpei says and everyone picked up one by one and all of them are able to carry it like a feather. After that, I tried everything from all different weapons and even their armor, I still couldn’t pick anything up.
I couldn't wield, anything.
The same type of window appeared in my vision stating I can't wield practically anything as a blade. When I tried the armor I was pinned inside the armor I was wearing and couldn’t move it. Riki and Tobi had to remove the armor from me to free me.
"Ok, this is weird," Junpei says and I can see him in a deep thought. “Everyone can pick up any other weapon or wear any armor except Yasu.”
What is there to think? Like the notification said. As a fucking useless blade, I can’t wield anything! I curse in my mind while trying to keep a calm front.
"It is weird. But if you look at it closely, he does have a non-combat class. It should be normal for him not to be able to wear or wield stuff that is meant for combat." Hiroko says.
“But that’s not entirely true. The leather armor is just armor. We can categorize it as a piece of clothing rather than a weapon.” Tobi replies.
"That's true," Junpei says as he looks at the sword he tried to give me earlier. "Tobi, use the sword for now. I don't really have a plan but we can't just do nothing and sit here. The first thing we have to do is level up. If we level up, we might learn new skills that might help us get out of here."
Tobi nods and went to equip the sword.
What about me? Do I only use the frying pan or spatula?
"Ok, everyone ready?" Junpei asked and everyone nod. Everyone started walking out the safe room and as I exit, Junpei stops me from coming out.
"Hey, Yasu, why don’t you stay here for now till we are able to kill what’s out there like nothing. That way, we can be sure to be able to protect you at the same time. For the mean time, you can try and learn if there are any other commands we can use to view more information. Cool?”
Ah, I knew it. We haven’t even left the dungeon and I’m already a burden.I say in my mind.
"Yeah sure, I'm quite useless out there anyway," I reply back to him with a smile but I cant help hide the feeling of uncertainty. If, and if they find a door, they can easily leave me here to die.
Junpei puts his hand on my shoulder, “Don’t worry and leave the fighting to us. Once we confirm there’s a door out there, we’ll come back and let you know.” He says to me and I nod at him.
He indicated for everyone to move out. Since there isn’t really a point for me to be out there and watch them fight for their lives, I decided to stay. But I’m still worried. They don’t know me as much as I don't know them. But I have no choice since it's the only logical solution at the moment for my condition.
"Please don't leave me alone," I whisper as I watch them all disappear into the dark. I went and sat down at the foot of the statue and leaned against its pedestal. Since I have nothing to do, I started randomly saying words to see if a notification will come up.
“Help window?”
“Grill?”
“Grill status?”

this skill will let you grill any form of edible ingredients.
“Ah! There it is.” I say to myself as I see a skill window appeared in my vision. I study it to figure out more about my only skill. Maybe I'll know how to level it up from reading its description.
"Whoa. Does it gain experience? I wonder if I level up when I level this one." I say to myself. Since I don't know how long they will be in there, I decided to use this free time I have to try and level up my skill. I also wanted to test out if the skills have a limit.
Can it be higher than my current level? Is it better when it's higher level? Will this help boost up my damage if I level this up?So many questions ran through my mind.
I have to level this up no matter what if I want to survive. But the main issue is how?
I stood up and decided to look around the area to see if there's anything I can grill. Doesn’t matter if it’s bugs, I need to test it out and see.
"Damn this place is clean," I whisper to myself. Not one thing in sight that I’m able to cook. I decided to venture back to the room I came from. The minute I hit the dark hallway, the light orb appeared again and followed me on my way back.
*Squeak
*Squeak
*Squeak
I squint my eyes to try and improve my vision in the darkness.
“Rats? Mouse? They weren’t here before.” I whisper as I silently walk through the hallway. I tried to find the source of the squeaking but as I move, so does the sound in the darkness.
When did these things appear? Were they here before and I just didn't notice?I say in my mind.
"Dammit, this is going to be difficult." I kept on following the sound until I reached the starting room where I woke up. That's when I saw them.
“Oh boy, that's a lot of rats.” I say to myself. I don't feel rats but I hope these aren’t overpowered rodents.
sigh*
"I have gone crazy looking for rats in a dungeon." I say to myself. I probably look really lame or insane trying to dominate or kill a bunch of rats. I knew they were rats by the sheer size. I started chasing a rat around but they're too fast. Catching one of these little bastards are harder than looking for them. They run really fast and can sidestep like a football player. I have to take a rest every now and then because my stamina was never good in the beginning even back at earth. I did close the door so the rats won't escape the room. I don't know how long I have been in this room but it felt like ages.
“Damn bastards.” I say as I sit down near the exit to catch my breath. Like it was God's gracious gifts if there are gods in this world, one of the rats decided to get close to me and started gnawing a piece of grass growing through open cracks on the ground.
Grass? How? There's no light in here. I was thinking in my mind.
I guess some aspect of this world breaks normality. I hold my breath and exhale slowly.
“Yes eat that grass and stay busy you omnivore bastard.” I whisper to myself as I started to slowly approach the rat trying not to let it notice me. Then when I'm at a right distance, I pounced on it and managed to grab hold of its body with both my hands. But the rat sensed it was in danger so it squeaked really loud as it struggled to break free from my grip.
SNAP!
I snapped its neck and making the squeaking stopped. It’s body became lifeless and I also saw little amount of blood coming out of its tiny mouth. I set the dead rat down the ground and clapped my hands together offering a prayer to my first kill in this world.
“I’m sorry buddy. I have to kill you in order to live.” I say to myself before praying for the rat to go to heaven.
“Will I level up if I kill all of these rats?” I asked myself.
As far as I know, the rats don’t have a name above their head or a level. Even their HP is missing. Are these not monsters? I killed it in one hit and it didn’t show me a negative number.I say in my mind.
“These might not be the same class as the skeletons. What are these? I don’t know.” I say to myself. I was worried it would turn into dust but I was glad it didn’t.
I picked up the dead rat and headed down back to the safe room. When I got close to the other door at the end of the dark hallway, I can hear shouts coming from the other side.
Huh? When did I close this door? I’m sure I kept it open on this end.I say in my mind. I push open the door and as soon as I get a view of the statue room, I can see everyone walking around shouting my name.
They didn't leave me. I say to myself and I felt happy.
“Yasu! Where are you! Yas—“ Junpei was shouting and upon seeing me, he stopped shouting and ran towards my way.“Yasu! Where did you go?”
I lifed up the dead rat on my hand and showed it to him. This made him step back while Hiroko let out a annoying sqeal.
"It's dead already," I say to her as I hold the dead rat up and I see all of them jump back except Tobi.
“Say, what are you going to do with that?” Tobi asked.
“Well, I'm going to grill it," I tell him. I also explained about the new command I learned on how to view the skills. I kept it to small words this time. Everyone tried it and they started analyzing their skills. I wish I could see what they were. But I notice in this world you can only see your own window but not everyone else. You can see enemy’s health except for your teammates.
I wonder how Luro looked at mine earlier. I guess, since he’s the creator, he more like a game master and have control mostly for everything.I say in my mind.
“This is great!” Junpei says with energy towards me. “Yasu. there’s a door!”
“Seriously?! DIdi you guys open it? Is it the exit?!” I reply back happily as a new hope filled my heart.
"Sawada is an assassin and he can see in the dark. The only problem is that he has a range on how far he can see in the dark. But, the higher the level he gets, further he can see!" Junpei says explaining how they saw the door.
“Also Hiroko and Tobi gained a new skill called flaming arrow! They basically release an arrow that is ignited towards the end and even when they release it as such high speed, the flame won’t go out! As for Rikimura-san and me, we gained a new skill called war cry! If we use it, all of the enemies around us will focus their attention on us for a brief moment! This is so awesome!” Junpei was so excited it’s only a matter of time till he starts jumping up and down. I look at everyone else and they all have the same expression as Junpei. I guess this ignited the flame inside them to survive because now, we have a way out.
"But before we go, we need to eliminate all of those undead skeletons. But there is a problem." Junpei suddenly looks sullen, "We're…" he hesitates to say.
"You guys are what?" I reply back. I'm a bit worried about what they're going to say. Did they encounter a dungeon boss? I would help them but I'll die without even making a scratch.
“We’re hungry. It seems like hunger impacts our stamina worse than we were back on earth.”Junpei says and I was relieved. If there were a dungeon boss now, it would be difficult for all of us.
"Yeah, I guess rather than distributing the stat points, it's represented by our own physical strength and endurance," Riki explains. I don’t say anything but I’ll never trust anything he says. Actually, I’ll never trust anything from now on unless I have proper facts.
“Like back on earth, to get better stamina, we need to train our body for it. But somehow, hunger has a big effect. More than what we’re used to feeling. We're more tired and actually move slower. And it's really hard to focus. Hiroko and Tobi’s aim get’s worse when they’re hungry. For me and I guess everyone else who uses a melee weapon, our swings get’s slower." Riki says.
"It's quite dangerous to fight the skeleton in this state. One wrong move and we can all end up dead. Even going back to the safe room was a task since we moved so slow." Junpei explained.
The room was silent for a good minute.
Finally. I can shine. I say in my mind as I approached them.
“Guys, I can help.” I gave Junpei a smile and held out the rat. His face went pale and it seems like they all knew what I was talking about. "I have a cooking class after all."
