Saki decided to take this fight very seriously considering the amount of magical output Kagumi released. Taking a stance, she decided to go all out from the beginning. She wasn't going to let Kagumi best her, especially in front of her father. If she wanted to prove that she was ready to fight in the war against the akumas, she has to at least be able to beat him first.
Kagumi decided to simply stand still, seemingly unprepared. He decided to let her make the first move, and end this quickly. While he could drag out the fight, he was starting to get hungry and didn't want anyone from the town to find his camp. Using his advanced senses, he was confident in his ability to counter whatever moves she throws.
"Alright, I want a fair match. This battle will go on until one person forfeits or is incapacitated. No fatal attacks are allowed during the match. Does each fighter understand?" said the king, listing the rules of the fight. Saki and Kagumi nodded their heads in understanding, before having a stare off. Kagumi was clearly winning, so Saki decided to make the first move.
"Elemental Fists." was the name of her fighting style. Coating her hands in fire, she dashed toward Kagumi at surprising speeds. Kagumi, while slightly surprised that someone her age knew how to coat things in magic already, was ready for the attack. He did a simple side step before hitting her with a hook kick to the chest, knocking the wind out her chest. He then did a palm thrust to her stomach, sending her flying back 6 feet. She laid there on the floor, gasping for air.
"Are we finished here?" was Kagumi sole response that Saki her determination back. No matter what, she had to beat him. Starting to get back up, she created small blasts of wind, hoping to maybe get in a lucky shot at Kagumi. Kagumi simply dodged the wind bullet, although with some difficulty. The wind bullets were a lot faster than he expected, nearly reaching the speed of an expert level wind attack. As he went to jump away from a particularly large and powerful air blast, he sensed the presence of Saki behind him, scorching heat radiating her palms.
"I've got you now!" were her proud words to Kagumi, thinking she got him. Kagumi simply sighed, he hoped that he wouldn't have to use that technique. Suddenly, he disappeared in a blur, narrowly avoiding Saki's fist. He then appeared as quickly as he disappeared about 10 feet away from where he was originally, breathing rather heavily. While he had great speed and strength, he severely lacked in stamina.
"Damn, you made me use 'that' technique. I've got to admit, you've impressed me. But I will be ending this now." was Kagumi's last words before he blurred again, appearing in front of Saki. Because of the sudden appearance, she simply froze, startled. During this time, Kagumi was able to kick her in the head, causing her to be heavily disoriented. He then gave her a hard punch to her nose, knocking her back and causing it to bleed. If the king didn't want Saki to learn a lesson about when to stand down, he would've killed Kagumi for that.

Saki, lying on the floor, was simply trying to collect her thoughts. She knew she couldn't lose, yet she did. She was simply outmatched for now. Unless...
"Are you really going to let him best you like that? Come on, you can do better than that. Use my power, and beat this foolish boy." said a voice, a voice Saki recognized. Ever since she was born, she has heard the voice of the goddess of love, Helena. It was revealed to her that she was an apostle, the perfection of humanity. She was gifted natural talent and holy powers, said to protect the world from evil.
Finally getting back up, she started to concentrate on the crest on her chest. To everyone's shock, her crest started to glow a bright yellow and yellow tattoos started to spread around her body. She opened her eyes to show vibrant green eyes. Kagumi stared at her new form, not sure whether to run or continue fighting. Deciding the latter would be more successful, he got into a fighting stance, now taking the fight seriously. He wasn't sure whether this was a violation of rules or not, but he knew that one of them had to lose to the other.
"Saki, stop this instant! If you use that power, you might kill him!" were the authoritative commands coming from the king, frantically trying to calm his daughter. He didn't want either of the kids to get hurt.
"Hey, don't worry about it. I'll make this quick and easy." was Kagumi's simple retort before both of the kids blurred out of view. For every punch, kick and spell Saki threw, Kagumi dodged and countered like he could see the future. Saki threw a right punch aiming at his face. Kagumi, deciding to wrap the match up now, grabbed her arm before channeling a small amount of lightning into his left hand.
"Lightning Style: Decapacitating Shock." was the simple spell that shocked Saki, causing her body to become immobile and numb. She simply stood there, disappointed in the fact that she used this power on a kid and still lost.
"I'll see you at the academy, you idiot." was Kagumi's final quip before leaving the capitol building, hungry and tired. Saki, despite the paralysis, cracked a small smile at the strange boy that she just met. She had to admit, it felt good to have someone to fight her age. The king simply smiled, mad at Saki for using her holy powers, but happy that she has someone to look up to as a rival.
As soon as Kagumi left the capitol, he clutched his shoulder in pain. His left shoulder was burnt badly, the smell of charred flesh radiating the area. He tore off his right shirt sleeve and soaked it in a nearby river. He then used it to bandage the wound, causing his agonizing pain. He hated to say it, but he underestimated Saki too much. He knew they were both arrogant in their own ways, and that caused his injury. In Kagumi's eyes, he won the battle but lost the war. The sound of his stomach rumbling snapped him out of his troubled daze, and made him focus on getting to his camp before sundown.
