Chapter 4 : 10 Gifts

Part 1

We arrived at the tailor shop one hour later.

It was a peaceful ride whitout any trouble.

We stopped our carriage right in front of the shop.

It was a large two story building with a large name plate “Grisela Tailor Shop” in front of the shop and a large display window with various luxurious clothes, dress, gown, suits, robes were on display.

From what Jessica told me, this shop was the biggest tailor shop in the city and every noble and royalty including the king of this kingdom, usually made their clothes in this shop.

Basically this shop was the most famous in this kingdom.

Before we entered the shop, Cecil told the horseman to return back to the castle first without us.

We didn’t need the carriage anymore because I would teleport us back to the castle.

The horseman only nodded and then went away with the carriage.

As we entered the tailor shop, a woman with a bright smile, came and greeted us.

She was around 40 years old with shoulder length black hair, black eyes while wearing a luxurious light green dress.

“Welcome to my shop Madam Jessica and princess, I have been waiting for your arrival.”

This woman name was Grisela the tailor who made my new dress.

I only met her once when she came to the castle to take my measurement.

“Hello Madam Grisela.”

I greeted back the woman with an elegant smile.

“Hello Grisela, have you finished the dress?”

“Yes, of course, it’s over here.”

Grisela brought us deeper into the store.

Just like the usual tailor shop, there were many costumers inside the shop, looking around while choosing at the clothes that were displayed.

But because the price of the clothes in this shop were quite ridiculous, I saw one that had a price tag of 250 G, Most of the costumers were rich merchants who wanted to buy the clothes to be sold again in the other city or kingdom.

We headed toward the staircase leading to the second floor and went up.

On the second floor, I saw there were only four costumers.

A woman in blue dress with a maid standing behind her, the woman seemed to be choosing clothes for the two children, a boy and a girl who were besides her.

When Jessica saw them, she stopped and turned her head to face me.

“Sweetie, can you go fitting your dress with Cecil? Mommy will greet madam Frylian over there.”

Frylian?

Is that the name of the woman in blue dress?

I nodded as I took another glance at them.

“Okay.”

After I said that Jessica started to walk towards the woman in blue dress.

Along with Cecil, I continued to follow Grisela into a room with a plate tag written “Female Dressing Room” in front of the door.

It was a room with a big room with red carpet covering the entire floor and many expensive looking mirrors, dressers, wardrobes and other furniture and decorations beautifully and neatly arranged. 

“Please wait for a moment I will take the dress.”

As I looked around the room Grisela said that to me and she then headed towards one of the wardrobes.

After a few seconds, she came back while holding an elegant red and black dress with gold embroidery, a red flower like a rose on the left chest, and a black ribbon with decoration of the same kind but small red flowers on it.

“This dress name is Scarlet Darkness, made from scarlet flaming silkworm from magic continent which has a high resistance to fire, and the black threads from Heratus of Darkness from demon continent which has a high resistance to physical attack and darkness. I made this with an image of an adult in my mind. I guarantee you will like it.”

After her explanation, Grisela handed the dress and ribbon to Cecil and then she started to help me fitting the dress.

It was a comfortable dress without any discomfort and easy to move around with, moreover this dress seemed to have warmth properties which made the wearer feel warm even in the middle of winter.

This dress is very good.

Its materials are so smooth and soft

As expected from the most famous tailor in this kingdom.

I nodded in satisfaction.

I walked to the nearest mirror on my right and stood in front of it.

In the mirror I saw my own reflection.

A very beautiful little girl with a waist long, straight, silky, blond hair with a black ribbon decorated with small red flowers, a pair of beautiful sky blue eyes, white skin and was wearing a red and black elegant dress. 

Well …… I guess It looks good on me

“Ooh you look very beautiful in that dress sweetie.”

As I was looking at my own reflection, Jessica’s voice suddenly came from the direction of the door.

I turned my head and saw Jessica and the woman in blue dress Frylian along with the girl from before entered the room and walked toward me.

The woman named Frylian then started to introduce herself and the girl.

“Nice to meet you princess, my name is Frylian Valbatos and this is my daughter Restia.”

Valbatos?

If I am not wrong, it’s one of the mid class noble family who lived in Halas Region.

Halas region was the name of the territory that was ruled by Richard or Whitestar family.

“H-Hello p-princess, my name i-is um Restia Valbatos.”

The girl beside Frylian gave me a nervous smile as she tried not to look at my face.

What? Is she scared of me?

I am not scary like that old hag Helena you know.

I looked at the girl from top to bottom.

She was cute and at least had the same age as me, with a waist length black hair, a pair blue eyes and white skin while wearing a yellow dress.

“Nice to meet you too Madam Frylian and Restia, my name is Ariel Whitestar.”

I used the formal greeting of a noble as I smiled elegantly.

“So, did you also buy a new dress?”

I asked the nervous Restia with a gentle smile.

Restia’s face suddenly turned into a deep red like a tomato and turned her face toward Frylian.

Frylian and Jessica giggled when they saw her reaction.

“I am sorry princess. You are too beautiful that she can’t look straight at your face.”

Ah so that’s why she tried not to look at my face when she introduced herself.

I smiled gently at her.

Frylian then continued.

“We are looking for her brother suit and her dress to attend your birthday party tonight.”

Her brother must be the boy from before.

So they are going to attend my party.

“Have you found something to your liking?”

Once again, I asked Restia.

“Un.”

Restia slightly nodded shyly and turned her head to the dress in Frylian’s hand.

It was a beautiful white and light green dress.

“I see its good then.”

“Well then princess, we will also start fitting the dress too.”

Frylian slightly nodded to me and then left with Restia to the dresser next to me.

“How is the dress sweetie? Is there any discomfort?”

Jessica asked me as she stood next to me.

“Yes, it’s very comfortable.”

“Okay, we will take it then.”

Jessica turned around and walked toward Grisela.

A few minutes later Cecil helped me to take off the dress and we were getting ready to go back to the castle.

Before we left the dressing room, we said our farewell to Frylian and Restia.

We were now on the main street of the business district of Agatha City.

Even though the street or rather the road was very wide, around 15 meters but the traffic was really crowded with carriages and people passing through it.

Agatha City were divided into a few districts: Northern, residential, adventurer, business, harbor, cathedral, magic, entertainment, and lastly central district.

Northern district was on the northern area of the city, it was where every noble residence were located.

Residential district was on the northwest area of the city, it was a place with many high apartment buildings where most people were live in this place. 

Adventurer district, it was on the west area of the city, it was where the famous humongous adventurer guild headquarter building was, and many other facilities which supporting the adventurers were located, such as blacksmiths, tailors, library, training hall, etc. Adjusted to the adventurers wallet, most business in this area were much more cheaper compared to business district and of course the quality was much more lower too.

Business district was on the southwest area of the city, it was a place where markets, inns, bars, cafes, shops, stalls, Merchants Association HQ, companies and many others business location were.

Port district was on the south area of the city, it was where the port, ship builders, sailor association, fisherman, warehouses, and all other related things to harbor were.

Religious district, it was on the southeast area of the city, it was where the cathedral of the largest religion in Sylfania kingdom who worshiped Milcast, god of light who ruled over prosperity and fertility, and other facilities related to religion were located, such as priest apartments, priestess apartments, hifg priest/priestess and pope residence, statue of Milcast, etc.

Magic district was on the east area of the city, it was where the tallest magic tower with the height of 120 meters and other magic related facilities were located, such as magic item shops, magic tool shops, enchanter shops, etc.

Entertaiment district was on the northeast area of the city, this district divided into two areas, the first was Green light district area where various general entertainments were located, such as, theaters, art gallery, zoo, circus, parks, botanical garden, etc. The second one was a special district area where Red light district was, well you already know what kind of place it was, so I won’t explain it to you anymore.

And lastly was Central district, well even though it was called district, it was just where my family residence or castle and my family knight headquarter and their residence were located.

There were around 50 million people who lived in this city.

And right now, I was looking around for a safe place where no one could see me use teleport magic, it would be troublesome if people saw us suddenly disappeared and caused any ruckus because of it.

I guess that alley will do.

I found a small alley around the corner not to far away from where we were standing.

I then lead Jessica and Cecil to the alley and when I was sure that no one saw us, I teleported us back to the castle.

Part 2

The next day.

A bright light forced me to wake up from my sleep, as I slowly opened my eyes, I realized that the light was the sunlight which had passed through the window in my room and fell onto my face.

I overslept huh.

Well, it can’t be helped with all the things that happened yesterday.

I heard footsteps were approaching me and I turned my head to look at who was that.

A girl with a short red hair and was wearing a maid outfit was walking toward me with a bright smile on her face.

“Good morning princess.”

I reluctantly raised my body to sit on the bed and then yawned as I tried to close it with my right hand.

“Morning Cecil.”

As Cecil helped me changing my clothes, I took a glance at one corner of my room.

A small mountain of gifts was stacked there.

All of them were the presents from the guests who came to my birthday party last night, every single one of them looked very expensive.

Last night party was a hectic one.

Hundreds of guests from all kind of social status came to my party along with their family and children in tow.

I couldn’t rest at all.

I must keep smiling for the entire duration of the party because one after another the gusts came to greet and congratulate me.

Well that was not rally a problem, because it only caused my face cramped.

But the later part made me want to blow them to pieces.

They tried to introduce their son or other male family to me, trying to match making me with them.

Some of them were even eyeing me from head to toe with perverted eyes and a disgusting smile on their face.

It really creep me out.

If it wasn’t for Jessica who was standing next me and refused them with polite manner, I would have really blew all of them to bits with magic.

In addition, there was a dance time which also once again made me want to kill all the males who came to approach me on the spot.

At first there was only one shy boy who approached me inviting for a dance and I accepted his invitation.

I thought that it wasn’t polite to refuse the first person who invited me for a dance in my own birthday party.

But after that one dance, I was surrounded by almost all the boys who came to the party, trying to invite me for another dance.

Looking at me who was in trouble, Cecil who was standing behind me as my attendant, of course wearing a dress and not her usual maid outfit, was covering her mouth with her hand.

I could tell that she was holding her laughter with just a glance.

And after a minute, it seemed that she couldn’t hold it anymore, she suddenly ran out of the ball room, leaving me alone.

I could imagine she was laughing out loud somewhere in the castle.

Haaaa… I really hate party.

Maybe I should never do nor attend any party anymore.

That would be much better.

I took another deep sigh as I remembered last night party.

Cecil who was behind me still helping me changing seemed to guess what was in my mind.

“Ku ku ku ku you are pretty popular last night princess.”

Her way of laughing and comment irritated me so I stepped on her toe and grinded it really hard.

“Ow ow it hurts! ow ow ow I am sorry princess! ow ow ow  I won’t tease you anymore! Ow ow ple-please stop ow ow my toe! Ow.”

After about 20 seconds venting away my anger, I removed my foot from her toe.

Cecil was writhing in pain as she held her toe.

“Where is great grandma?”

It was unusual for her to let me sleep this long, usually she would forced to wake up using her loud voice.

“Ow my toe…. Madam Helena is in the library, writing something since this morning.”

Cecil answered my question while still holding her toe.

Is she busy?

I was thinking of asking her to teach me how to ride a horse.

But if she is busy than it can’t be helped.

I will ask the one of the knight to teach me.

After I finished changing, I went to the dining hall to eat my late breakfast.

On my way I met the twin, Luke and Luna with their babysitters, they were going to the garden to play.

I played with them for a minute and then continued my way to the dining hall.

Not too long after I sat on the chair, the head chef came with a tray filled with food and put them on the table.

It was delicious as usual.

After I finished my breakfast and was on my way to to the knight quarter, to look for a knight to teach me horse riding. I encountered Helena on the hallway, it seemed she was looking for me.

“Ah there you are. Here take this.”

She gave me a small plate with Whitestar family crest on the top left side of the plate.

This was an identity plate, everyone who had reached the age of six would get their own identity plate. it was used as a proof of the someone’s identity, made by using special metal and ancient technology, it also had the function to show the owner status.

I then bite the tip of my index finger so that it would bleed a bit and put the blood on the plate.

On the surface of the blank plate suddenly appeared.

I was stunned when I read my status.

How did it know the name of Origin Magic System!?

I never told anyone about it.

Moreover what the hell with the gift list!?

I thought I only have Superhuman Growth.

But now I have 10!

Thankfully except for instant casting, my other skills are quite normal.

A few skills which I had learned on my previous life were also on the list.

I should ask Helena about these gifts.

But first, I need to hide Origin Magic System and Instant Casting.

It will be troublesome to explain to her about them.

It is a good thing that this plate has the ability to hide anything that I didn’t want to show.

After I hide those two troublesome things, I gave my plate to Hellena.

“What are these gifts?”

Helena took the plate and start reading.

I silently watch her laughing for a full minute and after she was done, she started patting my head while a big grin appeared on her face.

“Umm can you ex -“

Before I could finish, Helena grabbed my small body and with a kidnapper style, tucked me on her shoulder and then walked away while laughing again.

After a few minutes we arrived at the garden.

In the garden there were Jessica, Richard, the twin and their babysitters.

Richard and Jessica were sitting on a white bench in the garden, watching the twin who was playing with their babysitters.

“Richard! Jessica! I have something interesting to show you two!”

Helena approached them with me still on her shoulder and a big grin on her face.

“What is it grandmother?”

Helena put me down and then gave my identity plate to them.

They were stunned stiff with a strange expression on their face as they read the plate.

“…. I see… No wonder.”

Richard muttered that as he frowned and then turned his gaze to me, looking at my confused look, he smiled gently and signaled me to sit next to him.

I nodded and sat next to him.

Richard started explaining what was going on.

It seemed that I had all the gifts of every Guardian Knights of Sylfania Kingdom.

Guardian Knights were the title of the first three family knights who served the first king of this kingdom even before the Kingdom was build.

They were Whitestar, Redsun, and Fullmoon.

Each families had had their own hereditary Gifts passed down in their family.

There were two types of gifts in each family

The first was general hereditary Gift which every direct descendant would gain naturally, and the second one was special hereditary Gift which would appear once in every 1000 years.

For our family we had the general Gift of “Superhuman Growth” which allow us to surpassed normal human body capability as long as we train, but there was still a limit on how much we could increase our body capability. And our special hereditary Gift was “Limit Break” which allowed us to go beyond that limit. There was a legend which had been passed down through in our family, that one of our family ancestors who had this Gift was capable of splitting the sea and sky into two with just one swing from his sword. 

The Redsun family had the general hereditary Gift “White Divine Flame” which allowed them to use and control divine flame of the sun. This flame was different from any other flames, depending on the user it could be used to burn anything into ashes or as a purification flame, and if the user was very skilled it even could cure and heal someone. Their special hereditary Gift was “Child of the Sun” which allowed them to use the divine fire of the sun at will without chanting and consuming any spirit, it also gave the owner of the Gift 100% fire and cold resistance and the ability to control and absorb any type of flames.

Lastly was Fullmoon family had the general hereditary Gift ”Natural Beauty” which gave the owner a truly beautiful appearance which helped them to tame even the most ferocious monsters. Their special hereditary Gift “Blessing of Nature” Which made them loved by nature and gave them a very long lifespan, no one knew how exactly long it was, but the record said that the last person who had this Gift had lived for more than 800 years before died in the war.

It wasn’t rare to find someone who had 2 or 3 general Gifts in those families, because from a long time ago, some of those family descendants married into another knight family, just like Jessica, a direct descendant of Redsun family married Richard and entered into Whitestar family.

Richard, Jessica and Helena had two general Gifts of those families, Richard and Helena had “Superhuman Growth” and “White Divine Flame”, meanwhile Jessica had “White Divine Flame” and “Natural Beauty”

But in my case to have all six of them…… was incredibly unusual, moreover I still had 4 more gifts.

“What about “Wiseman” and “Unknown”?

“There are two possibilities for those three “Unknown” Gifts. The first is they haven’t awakened yet and the second is the plate can’t identify them. As for “Wiseman”….. Well, I don’t really know the details but your great grandfather also had the same Gift.” 

Richard turned his gaze to the side.

I followed his gaze and found Helena was grinning as her eyes sparkling happily, like a child who got a new toy on her birthday.

“Nope, I also don’t know the details, the only thing he told me was that it gave him incredible insight, he could fully comprehend anything with his five senses. This must be the reason why you are so quick to master all the seventy sword moves of our family sword style and reached sword saint at your age. Even your father who people called a genius swordsman needed 4 years to master them.”

I thought it was because my knowledge from my previous life that allow me to fully comprehend how, why and for what reason each sword move was.

Oh well that doesn’t really matter.

Suddenly Helena started to laugh again.

“Ha ha ha ha with this, I have decided your next training. Go get ready because tomorrow we will go to Gabalas mountain.”
