Chapter 3 : The Sky Knight Series

When I was about to enter the carriage, I noticed a bookstore across the street.

I still have an hour to arrive at the tailor shop.

Maybe I should buy some books to read on the way.

“Mom, can I buy some books?”

I asked while pointing at the book store across the street.

“Hmm maybe I should buy some too.”

It seemed Jessica had the same idea as me.

So we all went to the book store

It was a big two story building with a large name plate “William Bookstore” in front of it.

As soon as I entered the building, I felt like as if I was suddenly thrown into a different dimension.

Tens of thousands books in various sizes and thicknesses were arranged neatly in the bookshelves.

But that wasn’t the thing that created this sensation of entering another dimension..

This feeling… is it void magic? No, this is spatial magic.

Spatial magic was a magic which control over space.

And void magic was a much powerful version of spatial magic, which control over space and time. It was the most unique among other unique magic systems which combined two other unique magic systems, spatial magic and time magic.

The owner of this store must have use spatial magic to enlarge the inside of this building.

But For what?

This building original size is already big, why is the owner of this store need to enlarge it with spatial magic?

A girl wearing an white apron approached and greeted us with a bright smile.

“Welcome to William bookstore, what kind of book are you looking for?”

I frowned when I saw the girl.

I observed the girl from head to toe.

She was around seventeen years old with a shoulder length brown hair and black eyes.

This girl… a human?

No, wait… I see, an automaton with human soul huh.

First the spatial magic and now an automaton girl.

Now I am really curious, who the owner of this store.

He also must be the one who created this girl. And very skilled at that because it’s really hard to tell whether she is a human on not at first glance.

Because we had a different interest in book, we decided to look around the store separately.

Jessica and Cecil then walked towards the bookshelves.

But I didn’t move from my spot and turned my head to look at the automaton girl who was standing next to me.

“Where is your o creator?”

The girl was baffled when she heard my question.

Well, the answer is simple.

When I first saw the girl, I could tell her soul was a human but there was something strange.

That was why I used soul magic to see her soul and what I found was that her soul was concentrated like a dot in her heart area.

It was a gem that was created to contain soul which usually used to create automaton.

When I was researching reincarnation magic, I found out that I had to master various magic systems, which was an impossible thing for me to master them one by one, because it took at least 10 years, if you were gifted than at least around 3 to 4 years to really master one magic system. But at that time I only had 10 more years left to life.

So I researched all the magic systems I could find, and as a result of my research for 6 years, I found the essence or the origin of all magic system that exist in the world.

I called it origin system.

I also found out that if I mastered this system than I could use any magic systems which meant I could use whatever magic I wanted to, including reincarnation.

I used the rest of my life to master this system and succeed only a few days before I died.

But I can’t tell that to this automaton girl.

Hmm how should I answer her.

“Easy, there is no human who didn’t breath. but you aren’t breathing at all since the first time I saw you. From your appearance, you are obviously not an undead, so there is only one, an automaton.”

The girl’s eyes widen and she was about to say something when a male voice suddenly interrupted her.

A bald man around 50 years old wearing a glasses and blue shirt suddenly appeared behind the girl’s back.

The girl turned around and when she saw the man, she bowed and went to the back room.

“Welcome to my shop, I am the owner William. Nice to meet you little miss.”

The man greeted me with a smile.

So he is the owner.

“Nice to meet you too Mr. William, my name is Ariel Whitestar.”

I slightly lifted the brim of my dress and greeted the man with a bright smile.

“Ahh I see so you are the little princess huh. Please don’t be so formal just call me William.”

Little princess?

Where the hell did he know that?

Don’t tell me the whole city already knew about it.

Damn you Cecil.

This is all your fault.

The man then continued

“So what can I do for you today princess?”

“I am just wondering, why such a person like yourself is selling books.”

“I am already retired from my previous job, selling books is just my hobby and it’s also a good way of passing my retirement day.”

Only one job that could create automaton, an artificer, and to create that automaton girl, he must be a master artificer.

Artificer was a job to research or recreate ancient technology or even create a new technology.

Hmm wait, maybe he have something that could be useful.

“I see. Did you have any or could create an automaton that can be used as a fast transportation?”

He frowned

“…Why did you ask?”

“No, it’s just that this world is uselessly too big, it takes too much time to arrive at my destination. If you have or can create a fast transport type automaton, then can you sell or make one for me?”

Even if I have teleport magic, I still can’t go to a place that I never visited before.

I still have to travel there manually.

If I have a fast transport type automaton, I won’t need to travel for too long, like what we are doing right now, need three hours just to go to a tailor shop.

On the corner of the room there were two staircases, one leading to the second floor and the other down to the basement.

I followed William going down to the basement.

In the basement there was a long hallway.

There were a lot of doors in the long hallway but we didn’t enter any of them.

As I expected, this store is expanded with spatial magic, no matter how I think of it, there is too many rooms for such a building.

Since we walked in this hallway, I counted we have passed more than 10 doors already.

A few minutes later, we arrived in front of a red wooden door.

William took a key from his pocket and then opened the door.

It was a very large room, there were many strange looking devices, crafting and blacksmithing tools, a very large furnace, a few shelves full of tubes filled with strange liquids, crystals, gems and many other materials, a working table, etc.

It was a complete equipped workshop.

No wonder he can make that automaton girl.

With this kind of workshop, he can make anything he wanted to.

“Please, wait here for a bit.”

I nodded and William then headed towards another door in his workshop.

I walked around the workshop as I waited for William.

In the corner of the room, I found something interesting, a full set of white female light armor.

It had a really particular design and I had seen this before in my previous world.

This is Valkyrie armor!

Where the hell did William get this!

Wait.

Valkyrie shouldn’t exist in this world.

So that mean, did he make this?

I observe the armor more closely.

After a few minutes I found there were some differences from the Valkyrie armor of my previous world.

I guess, he made this armor and it’s only a coincidence that the design is almost similar.

While I was observing the armor, William came back and approached me.

“That’s my last creation, it’s supposed to be ego cyber armor but I couldn’t find any soul which compatible to it, so I just left it there.”

Cyber armor was an armor that was made by ancient people, it had so many mysteries on how they created it. An armor that was far surpassing any armor from this era.

I was really surprised.

Because from the book that I had read in the library, up until now, there shouldn’t be anyone who successfully recreated cyber armor nevertheless an ego one.

This bald man isn’t just a normal artificer master, to be able to create cyber armor.

“Here take this.”

William gave me a ring with a small sky blue crystal on it.

“That is a spatial ring I made. It has an infinite space so you can store anything within it without worries it will full. I have already stored something in there, to take it out just concentrate your spirit into the ring and the image of whatever stored in there will appear in your mind, after that think that you want that thing out.”

I did what William told me too.

I concentrated my spirit into the ring and then one image appeared in my mind.

What is this… a horse, no it can’t be, a robot horse!

I then imagined I took out the automaton horse.

A metallic horse appeared in front of me.

“Its name is Aldebaran, made from the hardest of the lightest metal ore that exist on this world Whitril and a soul of a legendary horse within, so he is very loyal and clever.”

Its size was a bit bigger than normal war horse, with white hair and robust white metallic body, and a pair of glowing light blue eyes.

It was beautiful like a piece of art.

“It has a very high mobility, defense, and resistance whether it’s physical or magic. I didn’t know its max speed because I couldn’t handle the G force after I reached 450km/hour. It also can run through in the sky and enter the water without any trouble. And lastly, a special ability called quick auto-repair which no matter how it was destroyed it can quickly repair itself as long as its core is fine.”

I stared at the horse in amazement and with a wide grin.

What an absurdly high spec horse.

With him now I can go anywhere faster than anyone in this world.

“You have to let him rest after its eyes turned into red. It means that he almost run out of spirit or you can recharge him with your own spirit.”

I am so excited.

I really want to ride it right away.

My dress had changed into the cyber armor.

“The size will adjust to the owner, so you don’t have to worry about its size when you grow up, its defense isn’t that high compared to the other cyber armor but in return it has a very high magic resistance and reduce spirit consumption into half while amplifying magic to 200%. It also has a high mobility and increase speed to 400%. Its special ability are flying magic, auto-wind shield and quick auto-repair the same as Aldebaran.”

As expected of a cyber armor from ancient civilization.

Its specs are no joke.

No wonder cyber armor is known as the strongest armor.

And this is still incomplete.

“What is the name of this armor?”

When I used flying magic of the cyber armor, I noticed it only consumed a very small amount of sprit compared to when I used it normally, moreover it was much easier to control.

“Good, you can put back Aldebaran into the ring, as for the armor you store it into your body just imagine it to enter your body and do the reverse when you want to wear it.”

I nodded and did what he said and the armor changed back into my previous dress.

Hmm I just realize this, but why did all of them have a sky blue crystal.

Don’t tell me.

I looked at William with a wide grin.

“William, you also have weapons and other knight accessories right? I mean, the sky blue crystal in the armor, Aldebaran and this spatial ring are the same material. If so then you must have made a weapons and other accessories for it right?”

I showed the small sky blue crystal on the spatial ring in my finger to William with a wide grin.

“Haaa… I can’t beat you princess. Yes, you are right, I made them as a set of female knight equipment.”

William raised both hands in defeat as he shook his head.

“Follow me.”

I followed William entering anther room in the workshop.

Inside it was full of weapons, armors, shields and many other accessories were arranged neatly inside showcases.

We walked to one of the showcases in the middle of the room.

Inside it was a long sword, a spear, a lance, a round shield, a knife, a pair of short swords, a long bow, a pair of earrings, and lastly a necklace.

“All of this, including the cyber armor, Aldebaran and the spatial ring is called the sky knight series. I named it like that because the sky blue crystal that is used to make them is called sky crystal.”

I observed them one by one and all of them had a sky blue crystal embedded somewhere in them.

“You can take them all princess.”

William opened the showcase and took them out one by one as he explained their properties, just like the cyber armor, they were made using ancient technology and had a very high specs.

After that he gave them to me so that I could personalize them.

“You can store them like the cyber armor. Oh I almost forgot that the spatial ring can also be personalize and store it like the others.”

I finish storing them all into my body.

“Okay then, how much for all of them?”

“Well, because the armor is incomplete, I will cut the cyber armor price into half and because today is your birthday, I will give you a discount 10%, so it will be 520 Platinum.”

I didn’t know if the price he said was expensive or not for items made using ancient technology.

Oh well, I can pay that much though.

Every time I passed rank up test, Helena would give me some Royal Gil coins depending on the rank up test. She said it was some kind of Whitestar family tradition, though it seemed she changed it from Platinum to Royal Gil.

So in total I got 10 Royal Gil from all the rank up tests I had passed.

I took a small pouch and gave one light purple coin to him.

This light purple coin was Royal Gil, it was made by a very rare metal called Gritnet.

“I didn’t bring that much money for the change, let’s go back to the store first.”

I nodded and stored the small pouch into the spatial ring.

We walked back through the long hallway and back to the living room.

In there I found Jessica and Cecil was sitting on the sofa while drinking some tea.

It seemed they had been waiting for me.

“Ah there you are princess, where did you go leaving us behind like that.”

Cecil said that with an angry look on her face.

“Haaa I am glad you are fine, next time please tell us if you are going somewhere, okay sweetie.”

They are too overprotective.

Even though I am only six years old, I am a sword saint you know.

I can protect myself.

“I am sorry. I just went to see William’s collection.”

William who was standing beside me took a few step forwards and slightly bowed toward Jessica.

“My name is William the owner of this bookstore. I am very for taking the princess without notifying madam first.”

Jessica smiled elegantly as she face William

“It’s okay Mr. William. Ms. Sarah informed us that Ariel is with you when we were looking for her.”

Sarah?

Is that the automaton girl name from before?

Hm now that you mention it, where is she?

Did she in the store?

“Ah I see, well then princess please have some rest while I will go for a bit.”

William walked to the staircase which led to the second floor.

I walked to one of the sofa and then sat.

“So, what collection did you see?”

Cecil poured some tea into a cup and gave it to me.

“Is it rare books?”

I was hesitated.

Should I tell them?

I didn’t know if William wanted to keep his previous job a secret.

Moreover, it might trouble him later if many people know that he can make cyber armor.

Oh well, let’s just keep it a secret than.

“Yes, he has quite a lot of rare books as a collection and I bought some of them, so any interesting book in the store?”

“Yeah, I found a new cooking receipt book and madam Jessica found a few books about history of the world.”

“We should really update the castle library. I found many books we didn’t have in the library.”

We talked for a few more minutes untill William came back.

“Here, thanks for your purchase.”

William gave me a bag filled with money and I immediately stored it into the spatial ring

Jessica and Cecil tilted their head in puzzlement when they saw the bag disappeared.

But that was only for a moment.

they seemed to remember that I could use teleport magic and thought that I teleported the bad somewhere.

“I will come back again if I need something.”

We headed to the store and before we went to the cashier to pay the books that Jessica and Cecil bought, I decided to grab a book in the nearest bookshelf with the title “Legend of the Heavenly Sword God”.

The one who stand behind the cashier was the automaton girl named Sarah.

I gave a slight nod to her and she return it with a smile.

After paying for the books we then left the store.
