Jamey awoke with ease, remembering the previous day’s conversation with Gale, started to pack and fix up his melee rifle. Shigeo was like a car on cruise from the time he woke up ‘till he consumed his first piece of the morning’s food. Mindless but productive. After finishing his sweet potatoes, Shigeo drifted back inside the cave to pack his nunchucks and other items.
“Are we ready?” A peppy voice called, jumpscaring the man.
“Shigeo went back to get some things, but yeah I would say so.” He got up, placing his disposable dish that resembled plastic in material onto a pile where a large komir would sit and manducate.
“Okie, I just hope we don’t get any sudden extra people, I only packed so many tents.” Gale patted her large satchel bag which seemed to be at max capacity, the fabric seeming to be more stressed than normal.
“We’re camping?” Jamey asked, looking up from double checking his supplies.
“Well when we’re on Nessie Island there won't be any space for us except for outside when it comes to sleeping quarters.”
“Ah… Makes sense.” Jamey said as Shigeo arrived, Yeax whining in tow.
“Lemme go with youu!” Yeax clung to the cadet’s leg as Shigeo did a limp towards Gale and his fellow cadet. Athol, who was tweaking one of another cadet’s ear for saying something that clearly set her off, walked over to pry Yeax off the plebe.

“If you bother them you won’t get to follow me around the cave, and no waffles.” Athol tried to wriggle her tail in between the child and the man-child’s leg. Yeax almost immediately dropped to the dirt once hearing about no waffles, huffing a “no fair” to himself.
“Heh, sorry kid. This is an adult trip, and not for the faint of heart.” Shigeo ruffles the Changeling’s long hair.
“I guess you gotta’ stay as well, sorry bud.” Jamey patted Shigeo’s shoulder. Gale let out a small exhale of laughter at Shigeo’s expression to the comment.
“Okay, rude…” Shigeo pointed to Jamey before pointing to Gale, “are we ready to go?”
“Yeah, I’d say so,” Gale confirmed.
“Go right ahead and start off to the harbor, you know Ulfense isn’t the type to wait for quote-on-quote ‘freeloaders’.” Athol said, hooking her tail onto the shapeshifting tot’s shirt collar, slowly pulling him towards her.
“Mkay, see ya’.” Shigeo waved, Jamey meekly repeating him with a smaller voice, slightly reminding the author of some certain twin raccoons.

A few minutes pass as they reach the harbor, Weta lazily kicking his feet as he sits atop the gunwale.
“Yo, go ahead and set your stuff on deck, preferably behind the main stall so it doesn’t accidentally get sold by moneybags over there.” Moneybags indicating Ulfense, who was speed walking all across the deck, adjusting the assortment of products occasionally as he passed.
They snickered to themselves, taking up the Genasi’s advice and placing their stuff farther away behind the main stall on the deck. They heard Weta and Ulfense conversing about departure to Nessie Island. Soon after the sails unfurled and they set off away from Losdon’s trading harbor.
