It was nerve-racking, just watching the man bring all his equipment upstairs. He wondered what Taylor had done this time. This weird way of getting his memory back seemed extreme to say the least. As the doctor trussed him by his hand and foot with a belt, Jacob thought he looked like a scientist planning some crazy experiment, he wasn't sure what to ask or say but he knew he didn't trust the man anymore.
"What are you doing?" He began worrying, the man pulled the belt some more. "I said, what are you doing?"
"I'm going to inject you with this numbing serum first, the belts are just for precaution. Don't worry. You can relax."
"Numb me? Numb me for what? I thought this was psychotherapy treatment like Taylor said."
"Well, aren't you gullible~" He grinned, tapping the tube with his fingers. "I'm going to kill you, Mr. Dale, and for a hefty price too."
"Let me go." Jacob fought, rocking the chair. He fiddled with his feet and arms, trying to get them to slip out.
The doctor got closer inching up to Jacob, every second. He punctured his skin and emptied the injection into him placed the syringe safely on his platter of instruments before pulling out another bottle.
Jacob couldn't keep his head up, he still tried to fight back and get away but it was too strong. He tried to fight off the man but he held him by the chin as he pointed the next needle to his wrist. Jacob couldn't speak now, the numbness had gone to his tongue.
Slipping off her coat, Lily heard the ruckus from upstairs and it made her apprehensive. She sprinted up the steps like a cheetah and by. When she opened the door, she almost fell back. And when the doctor turned around, spewing the killing liquid everywhere, she quickly tried to find any way to keep them both alive. She watched as Jacob fought to get away and then she looked back at the doctor, grabbing a knife from his tray of utensils.
"What did you do to him?" Her hands quivered at the thought of his many schemes.
He nodded in fright, glaring at Jacob, knowing that whatever was left in the syringe was strong enough to kill him. He grabbed Jacob Dale by the hair and stabbed him in the neck. Jacob fought to get him off but in turn, fell back onto the floor.
"No!" She yelled, dropping the knife and reaching his side. The doctor quickly packed up his things and left the room without saying anything else.
She saw the syringe still at his side so she turned his head to see and what she saw was something that made her believe in faith again. The doctor was so staggered by her sudden appearance that he was unable to fulfill his mission of killing the boy but instead stabbed one of the chair bars Jacob sat in. She gasped upon seeing the blood seeping from his head; he fell on his stitches and they came loose from the pressure and impact.

She rubbed his face, it turned a bright red hue. He opened his eyes, flinching in pain but he began to relax. "Lily?" he said peacefully, then rose with great anguish. "They ambushed me, in the woods someone hit me in the head, and then, then I saw you." He considered what to do next but laying on Lily's lap was more than enough. He looked to the sky where the roof had blocked it and realized where he was at that moment. "I don't remember what, what happened." He felt his body weight him down, his hands hadn't given in to his commands. He wanted to hold her face right there and then, kiss her but he couldn't so he just closed his eyes and felt her hands as they ran through his locks. Before she knew it, he was fast asleep. He wondered why he hadn't feel a thing when his head had been struck there and then.
Lily had no idea how she was going to explain it, how could she explain the fact that she'd let some stranger in Tammy's home to kill Jacob? She couldn't come up with a viable explanation as to why this man wanted to kill Jacob, maybe he was deranged. Was he even a doctor, so many things could've gone wrong. Tammy put Jacob in her care and she almost got him killed, how could she explain herself. She tried to do the right thing but it almost got him killed, he could've died and it would've been on her hands. Taylor wasn't the one responsible for Jacob, she was.
Tammy watched from the door, they both slept on the floor but managed to be in each other's arms. She looked around at the sign that a collision crash course had step foot in the room. She knelt down beside them, running her hands up and down their back.
Lily loosened her grip, slowly letting go of him. She mumbled as soon as she saw Tammy. "It's my fault, Tammy, it is. It is. I should have never let that girl convince him to do this."
"That girl?" She said.
"Taylor." She got up, rubbing her eyes. Jacob felt her movements and he too got up.
"Tammy?" He said unsure of what he was seeing but then he jumped up. "Tammy." Hugging her as tight as he could. "I remember! I remember!" He cheered.
"Did Taylor do this too?" She smiled.
"No. I fell and hit my head again." He smirked. "If Lily wasn't there, I'd be dead." He sighed and then looked at her. "Thank you."
"It's fine." She reminisced, she didn't want to say it was disappointing. "I should go, it's getting late and the Beckingham's must be waiting." She got up and fled from the room.
"Lily." Jacob got up trying to call for her but shrieked from the pain.
"You should let her be, Jacob." Tammy said. "I think you're getting way ahead of yourself. She was just~"
"Just repaying the favor, right?" He snarled, dropping himself on the bed. "But I didn't feel that way and I'd like to believe she didn't too. I swear, Tammy." He cupped his head behind his back. "This pain I feel can't ever overcome what I feel for her and when I lost my memory, It was one of the luckiest unfortunate events I've ever had... just to fall in love with her once was something but twice, it's a blessing." He beamed with pride. "I know that what you are saying is wrong because the second time, there was no death, no unfortunate events and I still happened to have these blooming feelings in my stomach for her without any of that."
Tammy stared with folded arms. "What are you going to do?" She smiled
"I'm going to tell her... like I should've."
