“If I know what love is, it is because of you.” —Hermann Hesse
Antonio
Surprisingly Aiden and I ended up at my place he followed me back to my place and the next thing I knew we were sitting playing chess drinking wine and honestly it wasn’t that bad.
“Thanks for letting me come over I know our last meeting was tense, but it was coming from a caring place I assure you” Aiden said moving one of his pawns, I took a sip of my wine before I also moved a pawn I hadn’t played chess in a while and so far Aiden wasn’t half bad.
“I understand I might not have liked it but thank you for being a good friend to my Jane and being here for here while I wasn’t” he emphasized the “my” he just to reinforce she was his but wasn’t that prideful or egotistical where despite his feelings of jealousy how could he truly be angry and if he never left they wouldn’t have gotten as close as they did and despite it all neither had made a move on the other when by all rights they could have honestly he was surprised neither hadn’t especially with how he hurt Jane but he knew that’s not how she was she didn’t seek the arms of another for revenge or loneliness despite his hurting her she truly loved him so that hasn’t been on the forefront of her mind and he selfishly and humbly was happy it hadn’t been and he had been able to come back make amends and rekindle their relationship.

“You needn’t worry ”Aiden assured him twirling his wine in his glass he appeared lost in thought after a moment he looked up and smiled and it caught him off guard it wasn’t his usual arrogant smirk or playful grin it was if he had to describe it hopeful wonder.
“I found the one for me thanks to your Jane” he emphasized the “your” as he told him this ah so Jane was right he was smitten with Mimi perfect it al worked out he tipped his wine glass I’m acknowledgement to him.
“Come on let’s play Mortal Kombat and talk about our ladies “ Antonio said Aiden nodded
“Let’s go I’m going to whoop your ass” he rubbed his hands together gleefully
“You poor unfortunate soul I’m going to beat you so bad you’ll never want to play this game again” this night was actually turning out better than he expected it would he was actually glad Aiden decided to come by.
