It took us three days of continuous flight to reach the new continent and during the trip, I chatted a bit with the others.

(I) “Hey, Stelg. I was wondering: what is an ancient bloodline? Is it such a big deal?”

(Stelg) “Bloodlines are extremely important for every demonic beast, they are the basis of our potential. A beast with an ordinary bloodline will have a hard time advancing through the ranks and will need a lot of external resources to do so. While a demonic beast with an advanced bloodline will improve at a much faster rate and his journey will be much smoother. I don’t know much about ancient and other bloodlines but they should allow the bearer to advance faster further and with advanced elements and techniques.”

(I) “Senior, could you please enlighten me on what I missed?”

(Roden) “I can’t teach you any technique but I can teach you about the bloodline grades. There are six other types of bloodlines aside from the ordinary ones. Each of them grants you the base potential to reach a different rank. From lower to higher you have: elemental, epic, noble, ancient, imperial, and divine.”

(I) “What types of bloodline do we have?”

(Roden) “Hmm. The rodent and the crocodile have a basic bloodline while the stag and the sparrow have an elemental bloodline.”

(I) “And I?”

(Roden) “As I said your mutation prevented you from accessing it, so you don’t have one.”

I sulked a bit.

Then I asked: “ Senior, do you know any methods to obtain herbs that could help with mental cultivation?”

I spent the rest of the trip cultivating. After a while, Mar woke up but he just ignored us and went to sleep.

And finally, we reached the new continent. Roden landed on a white beach with the calm sea on one side and a flourishing forest on the other.

(Roden) “You all, except for Mar, will start your journey here. I suggest you make your way slowly towards the center of the continent where the main cities are situated. But to do so you must become much stronger.”

(Mousy) “Why doesn’t Mar come with us?”

(Roden) “He has an ancient bloodline and the rules state that he must be brought to the capital for nurturing.”

At this point, Mar looked at me and said: “That’s right I will soon become much stronger and then I will show you your place.”

At his words, Roden took off and flew into the distance.

(Mousy) “Fuck, it’s not fair.”

(Stelg) “It’s not that bad. Roden took us to the most suitable place for all of us. We are weak with weak bloodlines so we must progress step by step from the outskirts of the continent. While Mar has a good bloodline he will be nurtured to be stronger and an important beast in the continent.”

(I) “If you put it like this you are right. I wanted to purchase some herbs and items to aid my mental cultivation but now I think I don’t even have the right to possess something so precious. I would be robbed or worse killed just for possessing one of these.”

Then we split up into different groups. Mousy and Croc went one way, Icy, and Stelg another, while I went on my own. Both groups wanted me to go with them, but I refused. I didn't want to slow down and I didn’t want to babysit my new friends. Also, I was close to a breakthrough in cultivation and needed a safe spot to evolve.

And so I started my journey in a new unknown continent.
