‘Help! Too many rabbits!!’
I was running from my life while chased by a horde of rabbits hopping behind me.
To understand how I ended up in that situation we should return a dozen minutes early.

After I killed the first rabbit I started walking towards the nearest temple when I found a big rabbit hole and decided to go in thinking: ‘This should be the den of the rabbit I have killed, maybe I could find some resources to plunder or even another rabbit to fight against.’ I entered the tunnel but just as I arrived in an underground cave I understood that I fucked up: it was filled with rank 3 rabbits looking at me with their nose twitching.
I tried resisting, I really did. When they first attacked me I responded with one of my own but the other two used the opening of my attack to injure my leg, almost cutting it off.
At this point, I retreated and ran away but they immediately followed.

‘Damn it, if I knew all of them would follow me I would have stayed in the tunnel at least there they would not be able to surround me.’
Fortunately, I had a plan that wasn’t simply randomly running.
I arrived at the wall-like mountain, turned my back to it, and got ready to face the most difficult battle of both my lives. The rabbits positioned themselves in a half circle one meter and a half around me and then started hopping around changing places with one another. In a few moments, all I could see were rabbits, rabbits everywhere.
Then they started attacking.
Their speed was blinding, their attacks relentless, and their hits were like knives through unprotected flesh.
I panicked and did the only thing that I could think of: I coated myself with yang qi, activated my regeneration, and rounded myself like a ball.

After a while I regained my bearings, my defense and regeneration were barely holding off but not for long. I decided to counterstrike.
I stood up and launched a couple of Tiger Claws: one of yin and the other of yang qi. I noticed that both of them were able to kill eight rabbits and that there wasn’t an element they were weak or resistant to.
‘Eight gone, other 32 to go’
And so an epic battle bear vs rabbits began.
I continued using the Tiger Claws at will since now that I was a foundation establishment I could use ranged attacks without spending a big load of my qi.
When their number decreased to twelve, I felt it was an amount I felt comfortable with and decided to stop attacking. I started dodging instead and analyzing their movement pattern.
I was also looking closely at their attacks trying to understand better the source of their incredible attack power.
Slowly and surely my dodges became more and more fluid with minimal movement wastage.
I also had insights on their attacking method and the more I looked the more I felt that my earlier attacks were crude and unrefined. My attacks consisted simply of coating my paws and claws with qi while they were manipulating the qi in their fangs to be sharper. If I was using a club, they were using a sword.
I was happy at the discovery: it meant that I still had many ways to improve other than the battle experience and the techniques in the temples.
I started trying to sharpen my qi claws, at the beginning using neutral qi and then, once proficient, using yin and yang qi. While doing so I continuously took insights from the rabbits’ attacks, all while dodging them.
It took me a quarter of an hour to grasp the concept, and another one to be proficient enough to apply it in combat.
At this point the rabbits were quite tired and weren’t useful anymore so I finished them off.
It took me half an hour to recover from my injuries enough to comfortably move around. I decided to check that den again. I found out that inside the raw qi was even more abundant than outside but there was nothing except the rabbits’ resting places.
I noticed that the night was approaching. Usually, I wouldn’t care but my injuries had destabilized my realm further. I needed to recuperate and what place was better than the qi filled ex resting place of a band of rank 3 rabbits?
So I lay in one of the resting places and closed my eyes.
I woke up 8 hours later, rested and ready for the next challenge.
Since I didn’t know which enemy was where I decided to travel towards the nearest temple.
Just as I neared though I started hearing some voices. Just as I went further, I saw with my spirit sense the scene of three disciples arguing in front of the temple. It seems that my plans need to be revised once again.
