Ive never once seen someone die before me. I looked down at what remained of the guard, I was anxious and shaking. What had just happened. I looked over to Lucas he was on the ground still covering the hole the spear made in his shoulder, Alice was next to him trying her best to help him too. With all this going on I knew that we needed to go into the castle to find out why we were here, but how were we supposed to do that with what just happened. Colt walked up next to me.

"You okay? Sure did sneak up on him"

I assumed he meant when I pierced the guards legs from the back. I only nodded, I needed to think of what we needed to do in order make it out of this. Finally I had an Idea.

"Colt grab the guards spear"

Colt handed me the knife I had gave him earlier and walked over to the spear on the floor. I walked over to where Lucas was. It looked like the spear only made a hole but didn't pierce directly through his shoulder. I grabbed my gown and cut some cloth off the bottom. I packed the cloth into the hole the spear made and told him to wrap his short around it, for now this would have to suffice. I handed Lucas back his pitchfork.

I walked over to Emma and signaled Colt to come over. I explained to them my thinking.

"We need to go inside the castle, but we should leave Alice and Lucas outside."

I further explained how Lucas was too hurt to help and Alice was too scared. Colt agreed but Emma stayed quiet, it looked like her having smashed the guards head in really affected her. She looked up at us after a while and agreed. I went up to Lucas afterwards and told him the plan. He looked up and smiled.

This was the best plan we had for now. I went back to Colt and Emma. We started heading towards the door. The door was made out of old looking dark wood with a handle, it was open. We walked through, right after entering we saw ourselves in a courtyard. It was an open space it looked as if this was less of a castle but more of a stronghold. As I was looking around Colt grabbed me. I turned towards him, he had his finger to his lips signaling to be quiet.

"look"

He pointed towards one of the corners of the stronghold. I must've missed it as I was looking around, there In the corner was what looked like the guard outside but larger. It was bigger and taller than Lucas. Instead of the spear and chainmail helmet the guard outside had this one had a hammer and what looked like a metal bucket covering its face. It looked too large almost if it was bloated. With us barely being able to handle the guard outside this one seemed impossible to even hurt. I started heading back to the door we came from, we needed to go back and plan something else. I walked to the door and reached for it. I pulled on the handle.

"What are you doing open it"

Why isn't it opening. I turned around and looked at Colt and Emma, my face must've shown my panic because the second they saw me they both turned pale.

"It won't open"
