An old women was laying on a wooden bed with her son sitting on a chair near her bed. He was looking at her Mother with tears in his eyes.
"It doesn't matter what doctor says. We can still save your life with that locket."
"You are not doing anything like this. That locket can only be used for once and I am not letting you use it for me. I can live for a few more days or even weeks and thats enough for me."
" There is nothing more important than you for me in this world. Why don't you understand?" Boy said helplessly.
"You are the one who is not understanding. Your Father left it for you. There is no need to waste that locket for saving my worthless life."
"Why are you so sure that something will happen to me and I have to use this locket to save myself."
"No my son, I am not saying this. You know I am already this old and I am gonna die in a few years anyways. You should use this locket to save someone who is worthy of it."
"I am not listening to you this time." That boy shook his head and stood up. He went in the small kitchen of his shabby apartment amd found a box in of the cabinets. He came back and sit in his former place again. The boy was so nervous his hands were trembling. When he finally managed to open the box, his face paled.
"Mother. Where is locket? Did you hid it somewhere else?" Boy asked his Mother in a panicked voice.
"Its not in the box?" His Mother also panicked.
"No." Boy searched the whole place but couldn't find the locket.
"Someone stole it?" Another horrible thought came into his mind.
(At Special Investigation Agency)
"We need an errand boy in this agency. Why do I have to buy lunch for everyone? Boss didn't hire me for this." Darren placed his lunch on his desk.
"Last time Matt bought lunch for everyone. He didn't complain so much like you." Jess opened her lunch box and said.
"We will see when its your turn."

"Um.. Darren can you listen to me for a sec?" Matt tried to get Darren's attention.
"What?" Darren fixed his glasses and looked at Matt who just came from outside.
"A boy is sitting outside the agency. He said he needs our help and... "
"And...?"
"He looked really pitiful so I agreed."
"...."
"Sorry." Matt was ready to be scolded.
"We are already so busy. We can't take another case right now. And don't you know all cases are approved by Boss first?" Darren fixed his glasses again and tried his best to not yell at his dumb colleague.
"But alteast we should listen to him for once."
"Fine. Bring him inside." Darren sighed.
"Ok." Matt happily ran outside.
"Don't worry, Chief won't get mad because of this. We can ask him later about this." Jess said to Darren.
"Hmm."
"Hello." A minute later Matt came in with a Boy.
"Sit." Darren scanned the Boy from head to toe and ordered. He was wearing a worn out pair of blue jeans and a white shirt. With red eyes and chapped lips the boy really looked pitiful.
"Yes."
"Tell me about yourself first." Darren asked. His anger was gradually fading.
"My name is Izaya. I am eighteen yeas old." Izaya didn't know what else he should say about himself.
"What's your problem?" Darren's furrowed brows also calmed down.
"I lost my locket." Seeing the other person talking so nicely Izaya wasn't so nervous anymore.
"What?" Darren suddenly lost his temper and yelled. The Dog sleeping on the floor near his Darren's feet also started barking.
Izaya got so scared he started stammering again. " I-I los... "
"Shut up. You think we are lost and found? We have dozens of murder cases to solve and you expect us to find a piece of jewelry for you? Get out. " At the end of sentence Darren pointed at the door angrily.
"Why are you all being so noisy?" The door Darren was pointing at opened and someone entered the agency. Newcomer was wearing a brown leather jacket and a pair of khaki pants.
"Cheif." Everyone stood up and greeted the man who just came. Izaya also followed everyone else and stood up.
"What's the matter?" Alex gestured everyone to sit and occupied the emply chair beside Izaya.
"I lost my locket. Please help me find it." Izaya pleaded again.
"You should go to police station." Alex said calmly.
"I went there but they are not helping me."
"Then forget about it. We have got more important matters to handle." Alex picked up a file from Darren's desk and started discussing something with him. Clearly wanting Izaya to get out now.
"Hey dude, you looked so bad I thought you got your parents murdered or something. Come, I will walk you outside." Matt said to Izaya. He was embarrassed for bringing Izaya here and wasting everyone's time.
"Wait. Listen to me. It's not an ordinary locket. It can save a person's life. I want it to save my mother's life." Izaya almost cried while explaining.
"Where did you get that locket in the first place?" Darren was doubtful.
"My Father gave it to me."
"And where is your Father?"
"He died six years ago in a car accident."
"Okay. We will help you. But on one condition." Alex closed the file in his hands and said to Izaya. Izaya felt like someone gave him a new life.
