Unexpected Arrival

Chapter 2. Mystery.

P8. Unexpected Arrival.

Lady Gastella stood at the front of the class with an intense look because of the announcement she wanted to make.

The students paid her full attention not muttering a sound.

“Students! I have exciting news…King Dracula is to arrive shortly,” She said looking toward me specifically.

The students had mixed feelings about this, some were nervous whereas others couldn't hide their excitement.

“No way!”

“I can't believe I get to meet King Dracula!”

“I hope I won't embarrass myself,”

“Quiet!” Lady Gastella clapped her hands to get the attention of the students.

“I'm sure you are asking yourself why he would visit, the reason is because our great King wants to see the student's talents who will be participating in the tournament in under a month's time,” Lady Gastella had a nice cover-up story it was obvious that Dracula's real reason to visit the academy had something to do with me.

“I will demonstrate my skills in front of the King?”

“Finally we can prove ourselves,”

“Now I am more motivated than ever!”

The students were in high spirits and grateful for the opportunity to show their strength in front of that traitor they call a King.

I looked toward Leyla, Cecilia and Esteban and they also had looks of nervousness.

“I can't wait for the King to arrive!” Students shouted in excitement.

“Then I shouldn't keep you waiting,” A voice came from the class door.

The students looked toward the door and Lady Gastella kneeled down

The man who entered the room was Dracula smiling at the students and immediately made out where I was shooting a direct gaze at me.

The students were shocked and were left speechless not knowing how to process this unexpected arrival of Dracula.

“K-King?”

“H-He's here?”

“Quickly kneel,”

The students got up to kneel.

Leyla, Cecilia and Esteban did the same.

I however did not get up from my seat nor did I have the intention to do so.

“Please stay seated,” Dracula said with a gentle voice.

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.

The students talked about how kind he was by not asking for anyone to kneel but in reality, he did this to not cause a scene with me not having the intention to kneel.

Well played, you improved your image further.

“I am here because I heard that this class has the greatest potential,” He said while looking at me.

The students' reaction was filled with pride hearing Dracula say those words.

“I expect great things from you all! In the tournament give it your all. I am proud that you represent this great academy!” His words of encouragement sparked a fire in the students who had a burning passion to win in the upcoming tournament.

“We will win!”

“Our King expects great things from us!”

“We need to meet those expectations!”

“I want to start training immediately!”

The students eagerly wanted to train in the Colosseum.

Dracula had a grin showing off his fangs to further mock me since I didn't have fangs myself.

Then he muttered a word under his breath…”Stop,”

In an instant, everyone and everything in the entire academy stopped.

Dracula simply stopped time throughout the academy.

He wanted to speak with me in private and knew that stopping time did not affect me perfect for ensuring that no one would listen.

“My my…A King who fell and is nothing but a student,” He said with an amused smile.

I stood up from my seat and began to walk toward him.

It felt weird walking around while everyone was frozen in time.

“I rose to become King once before and I shall do it again,” I replied standing eye to eye with him.

“You don't have enough power to do that anymore,” Dracula replied.

Knowing that he didn't stop time just to mock me with words I asked him what he wanted.

“What do you want?”

“Once again straight to the point,” Dracula sighed in boredom.

He then said what he wanted to say.

“I felt it…You have killed a Celestial,” Dracula mentioned the incident where I killed Zazaba.

“And?”

“And…I knew you must have used the Balance breaker. The strongest weapon in existence,” He said with admiration.

“Are you after the Balance breaker?” I asked.

“No, we both know the spear only listens to you,” He replied.

Dracula then got to the point.

“I wanted to speak with you about the upcoming tournament and to warn you,” He said.

I had no idea why he felt the need to warn me.

“Warn me about what?” I asked with curiosity.

“Humans have been doing secret experiments lately. According to my spies, they attempt to fuse Humans, Vampires and Werewolf DNA to create powerful hybrid warriors,” Dracula mentioned.

This might seem impossible but humans had a reputation during the war to experiment since they had the weakest attributes in magic and strength.

“Even if this was true it wouldn't matter since we are in an era of peace. There is no reason to believe that these hybrids are used for war purposes,” I replied.

“But what if humans wanted to start another war?” Dracula asked.

“I won't let another war break out,” I replied with determination.

With those words said I also had a question to ask.

“When I fought Zazaba I felt the same Celestial energy that I faced against the mysterious figure that I faced before you betrayed me, this confirms that it was indeed a Celestial but this Celestial was more powerful. How did you manage to gain the help of such a powerful Celestial?” I asked.

Dracula grinned amusedly.

“Wouldn't you like to know?” He said.

“It's not the time for you to know yet my Lord. All in due time,” He said while looking amused about my curiosity.

I had no choice but to listen to him at least for now.

“Very well, resume time will you,” I said walking back to my seat.

“Of course. Oh and by the way I know what you are thinking,” Dracula called out.

That was something I did not expect him to say.

I turned around to face him from a distance.

“You are thinking that I primarily came here to meet with you to show you that I was the King now in front of the students,” Dracula hit the nail on the head.

Those were exactly my thoughts. It was strange that he made it sound like he wasn't.

“It was a nice bonus but I assure you that you are not my primary target for my visit. Someone else got that honour,” Dracula assured me mysteriously.

There were a few candidates in mind but for now, I needed to wait and see.

“Dracula, it won't take long until I resolve the mysterious identity of the Celestial who helped you nor will it take long for me to rise again…your tricks can only take you so far,” I warned him firmly.

Dracula merely smirked at my words, not taking them seriously.

I sat in my seat waiting for him to resume time.

“You made some nice friends,” He said, staring at the three.

“It would be a shame if something would happen to them,” Dracula said.

With that Dracula resumed time.

“Now students! Make me proud!” Dracula resumed his speech as if nothing had happened.

Leyla saw the enraged look on my face when he somewhat threatened the three of them. I lost myself to my anger which Leyla picked up on.

“Are you alright?” Leyla asked with concern.

I calmed myself for their sake.

“I'm fine sorry for worrying you,” I replied with a smile.

Dracula left the class shooting one more quick gaze at me.

It's only a matter of time traitor before I bring you to your knees.

At Tepes’ office.

*Knock

*Knock

*Knock

“Enter,” Tepes called out to the person who knocked.

The moment the door opened her heart almost stopped.
