Not before long, Zhang Wei and the group reached the middle district city gates. The city was built in a way that there are 3 districts. The district where Zhang Wei’s house is located at and the place that he trades herbs were at the lower district. Middle districts are the place where businesses are operated. As such, middle district is the largest and busiest of all the districts. High district is a large district made of multiple land properties, governed by influential families. High district also had businesses but were typically used for living quarters for the nobles.
As they approach the entrance, the guards looked at Zhang Wei and stopped him. “Halt”, he scrutinized Zhang Wei from top to bottom. “Please let us check you.”
Aron looked at the guard and almost cursed. “Brother, why are you stopping this godly man? You may not know this, but he killed a level 4 beast like it was a fly! What are you going to do if he gets pissed off?”. Aron knew that this was not standard protocol, as the guards typically would allow everyone to pass through the gates.
He walked up to the guard and flashed a silver crow insignia, “This man is a guest of the Alvero Family. Please let him pass through.” Alvero is Aron’s family and is one of the influential families that owns 5 land properties.
The guard was startled and immediately bowed and apologized, “My apologies noble sir, I did not know that he was a honored guest.” He allowed Zhang Wei and the group to pass. Aron then gestured Zhang Wei to head inside. He was afraid that Zhang Wei was displeased by the guard’s actions, but was glad to see that there was no change to Zhang Wei’s expression.
Zhang Wei on the inside however, was fuming. Oi you sh*tty guard! What’s with that disdainful look when you were checking me? Am I that ugly that you had that mocking tone in your eyes? You’re lucky that I haven’t punched you and squashed you like a bug. Zhang Wei was being careful, although he had killed a level 4 White Wolf Alpha, he was not sure how powerful that beast was when compared to experts in the city. He did not want to incur trouble to himself. So he merely sucked it up and endured.
He was also surprised that Aron had a noble insignia. However, he then thought back that most Martial Practitioners came from noble families and commoners with low aptitudes were looked down upon.

As he went into the city, he took a second to absorb the scenery. He looked at the architectural design that resembled the middle ages on earth and was impressed at the quality. Seeing that Zhang Wei was just standing there and looking at the buildings, Aron offered to Zhang Wei to dine at a high class restaurant.
Zhang Wei at this moment was starving, so he could not be happier at the invitation. He thought, “I’m starting to like this kid more and more.” He kept an unimpressed expression and said. “This Humble Man will accept your offer.”
Aron then lead Zhang Wei to a restaurant called Blue Ocealot. It was a 2 storey restaurant located at the middle district. The walls were made of marble and the sign was embroidered in gold. Zhang Wei followed Aron inside and got himself a table that could fit all of them. When Zhang Wei got the menu, he almost popped his eyes open.
10 gold coins for a single steak, 1 gold coin for a bowl of soup, 5 gold coins for a glass of wine. Everything on the menu was what a commoner family could not afford even if they work for an entire year. 1 gold coin is equal to 100 silver coins. 1 silver coin is equal to 1000 bronze coins. 10 silver coins was what a normal family would live by for a year. 1 gold coin could last a normal commoner family a lifetime.
Zhang Wei looked at these youths again and sighed. Truly a group of rich nobles, they had this everyday for lunch. Since Aron was paying for him, Zhang Wei did not hold back and ordered almost everything on the menu, hoping to let these rich youths panic a bit. Little did he know that not even a single one of them flinched. It was like these amount of money was nothing to them. Zhang Wei almost puked blood when he heard Aron say, “Sir Zhang Wei, please forgive us for taking you to this restaurant. Other restaurants require reservations and even nobles cannot simply barge in.”
Brother, why are you talking as if this restaurant is trash? Even in my previous life, I had never been in a restaurant even remotely as fancy as this. And you talk as if you’re doing me an injustice by taking me here.
Zhang Wei merely nodded to show he did not mind. A while later, the food arrived and Zhang Wei started to gobble up everything. He was too hungry, and did not even care what others would think.
Aron saw Zhang Wei’s eating habits and merely dismissed it as one of the peculier habits that Zhang Wei has. “Experts tend to be eccentric.”, he thought. Seeing that Zhang Wei was enjoying his meal, Aron asked Zhang Wei if he could leave for a moment to pass on the White Wolf carcass to his master.
Zhang Wei was too busy eating and merely gestured that he could go. But then he thought, “These kids are not going to run right?”, he did not bring any money and if these kids truly ran then he would be embarrassed at not being able to pay the tab.
He held Aron back and told him, “Hurry back, I wish to meet this master of yours.”
Aron nodded and went on his way.
