Currently, the entire hall was filled with laughter. The other participants not believe what they had heard. Low grade aptitude? That was just a nice way of putting it. The actual name was trash aptitude.
The reason why it is called trash aptitude is that the people who have it could at most reach Level 1 Martial Practitioner.
This meant that people who the trash aptitude, would be the lowest trash of them all.
They were viewed with even more contempt compared to the normal commoners by the nobles. It had to be known that in the entire history of Zarion Academy, there has not been a single case of a student participating in the assessment that had trash aptitude.
Zhang Wei was feeling down, he had never expected that the gaze of mockery from those people would hurt so much like daggers. Under normal circumstances, he would not care what other people thought.
But in this case, he had proudly expected that he was a dragon amongst men with superior aptitude. That made it much more painful.
Right now he wanted nothing more than to just cover his head and roll around in shame.
He went back to the crowd as the instructor called another participant. As he was walking back, gazes of mockery could be seen while endless chatter could be heard.
It was so loud that the instructor could not take it anymore, “Quiet down, so what if he has low grade aptitude, so what if he can only be Level 1? As long he’s not as shameful as the Level 4 expert that stole kid’s lollipops, he can be a proud trash.”, as he said it, he had a proud look on his face as if he had just done Zhang Wei a favor.
As soon as the participants heard that they went wild with laughter. Some even fell to their back and held their bellies as they laughed. They never expected the stern looking instructor to have such a good sense of humor.
Zhang Wei on the other hand, almost coughed a mouthful of blood.
Freaking a**hole! Are you trying to help me or kill me with anger? What’s worse is that proud look on your face.. Do you think you saved my life you bastard, screw your eighteen generations, how about that!
What got Zhang Wei so pissed of was that the expert that stole lollipops from little kids was him, he was just wearing a mask now! If only his strength wasn’t restricted, he would go up and slap the instructor to death.
Since he can't do anything now, he can only plan what he will do the instructor, the minute he gets his strength back.
Just when Zhang Wei thought this could not get worse, Author’s voice rang, “Pfft .. As the instructor is a virtuous man … pfft … The great heavens have … pfft .. decided to award this instructor with 10 years of good luck and prevent Zhang Wei from doing him any harm.”, the Author was struggling to prevent himself from laughing out loud.
Damn you sh*tty Author … Why the heck do you sound as if you’re dying from laughter! And you award him for making a fool out of me, Is this bullying? This is bullying right!
Zhang Wei actually coughed up blood. He swore that he would get back at all of them one day.
The hall gradually quieted down and the test proceeded smoothly. There was no one who had a great aptitude, and the best aptitude was only a measly good aptitude. Seeing that there wasn't a single great or superior aptitude, the instructor could only sighed. It had been a while since he found someone with great aptitude.

Aptitudes determines how far a person can go in their lifetime. They are divided into, low grade aptitude, average aptitude, great aptitude, superior aptitude and pinnacle aptitude. As mentioned before, a person with low grade aptitude can only be able to achieve Level 1 Martial Practitioner in their lifetime.
That was the reason why people view it with such contempt. Level 1 Martial Practitioner was considered the starting point, with children from various families reaching that stage at 8 years old by the earliest. However, surpassing the barrier between Levels required a significant amount of time.
Why was Zhang Wei able to reach Level 2? It was because the Overpowered System could not be bounded by natural laws of cultivation. Zhang Wei only needs to gain exp to surpass the level barrier.
For the average aptitude, these students can at most reach Level 2 Martial Practitioners. While it may not seem much, Level 2 was enough to be qualified to be an average city guard. However, it is not enough to pass the threshold of being a teacher in Zarion Academy, which is why it was judged as a fail.
Not wasting any more time the instructor then took out another orb and announced the final test. The test was basically the same as the aptitude test, where the participants only had to send a sliver of spirit energy into the orb.
Those who have already passed three tests would be exempted from taking the test if they so wish, and those who did not pass two tests previously, are already disqualified and had to leave.
Disappointed expression appeared on many of the participants faces. These people were the ones who failed to pass two tests out of the previous three.
Right now there were only 5 participants left in the hall including Zhang Wei.
Zhang Wei was actually quite amazed, and thought this is truly a prestigious school, the passing rate is very low.
I didn't realize that it was that hard to pass the test.
Of the 5 that were left, only 2 had already passed the required three tests, but they still wanted to partake in the final test. The first up was a youth wearing the a blue robe. He was likely from a noble family as his attire looked like it was made with exquisite embroidery, though he did not have an insignia.
He went up to the podium and sent a bit of spirit energy into the orb. The energy in the orb started to twirl and reveal a pattern.
The instructor smiled and called out, “16 spirit energy. Excellent, you pass with flying colors.”, the instructor was pleasantly surprised.
The average spirit energy for youths under 18 years was 10 and this youth had 6 more. He was happy that the school had acquired a talented Martial Practitioner. Even the rest of the participants were surprised and filled with envy.
The youth was delighted to find out he had such a high spirit energy and was feeling smug. It was as if he was thinking, you pathetic trash can't compare to me.
Only Zhang Wei was shocked for a different reason. 16 spirit energy was called talented? If he was the instructor, he would have called it trash immediately. Oi are you sure thats talented? isn't he just trash?
The instructor patted the youth on the shoulder and called the other participants one by one.
“10 spirit energy”.
“11 spirit energy”.
“10 spirit energy”.
The rest were average, but this made Zhang Wei shocked even more. He smiled and couldn’t wait for his turn.
Time for payback!
The instructor called his name and he went up to the podium. The other 4 participants looked at him with disdain as he walked up. Since he had a trash aptitude, his spirit energy should trash as well.
While this is not confirmed, from history, most people who had low grade aptitude, have below average spirit energy.
Zhang Wei ignored their gaze and inserted a sliver of spirit energy into the orb. The orb reacted and the energy inside the orb started to twirl, but it was not like before. This time it was as if the orb could not hold back the energy inside and looked like it was going to burst.
The instructor saw the result and was wide eyed. He repeatedly looked at the orb and Zhang Wei back to back. Almost as if he could not believe what he saw. He then announced the result,” 6-6-60 p-points. p-p- PASS!”, he stuttered as he said those words.
When the rest of the participants heard that their jaws almost fell to the ground. 60 POINTS! They had never even heard of such a high and absurd number. Brother are you a monster? Didn’t you have trash aptitude, why do you have such high spirit energy? If I call you trash now than what am I? Dirt in your shoes?
Even the youth with 16 points was dumbfounded. He thought that he was a heaven sent genius, but who would have known that the one whom he looked down upon the most had more than thrice of what he had. Instantly he felt ashamed that he was feeling so smug.
Zhang Wei enjoyed every single expression on these people’s faces. See you piece of sh*ts how amazing this humble man is! Who’s the freaking trash now. Bow before me you peasants.
