98 - Jacob and Zilpah, The Parents

Deep within the southern farmlands of the grand kingdom of Kathe, close to the bustling city of Wellden, there existed a quaint little farm owned by a couple named Jacob and Zilpah. These two individuals were not your typical townsfolk.

They were childhood friends who grew up in the same small village on the outskirts of the town of Charlo. They spent their youth playing together in the fields and learning the ways of the land from their families, who also were farmers. As they grew older, Jacob and Zilpah started to see each other in a different light, and eventually, they fell in love.

Years went by, and they stayed together through thick and thin, facing the hardships of farming and battling against droughts and pests, but they always managed to pull through with their unwavering dedication and love for one another. They watched as their crops grew tall and their livestock flourished, and they knew that they had built a life together that was worth more than any riches or fame.

A few years after they had already lived together, they decided that it was time to make things official. They gathered their friends and family together for a small wedding ceremony in their field, surrounded by the very land that had sustained them for so long. It was a simple affair, but it was filled with love and joy, as they exchanged vows and rings, and pledged to spend the rest of their days together.

As they stood there, hand in hand, looking out over the fields that they had tended for so many years, Jacob and Zilpah knew that they had made the right choice. They had found each other in a world that could be harsh and unforgiving, and they had built a life that was full of meaning and purpose. And as they looked forward to the days ahead, they knew that they would face whatever challenges came their way together, as they always had.

They were special in their own unique way, possessing a certain quality that made them unremarkable, which was quite peculiar in a world where people were always looking to stand out.

Jacob and Zilpah had no distinct features that would set them apart from anyone else. They looked like any other farming couple, with calloused hands and tanned skin from working out in the sun all day. In addition, their heritage was nothing to write home about as they were both one hundred percent of irrelevant human descent. They did not possess any world-changing skills or talents, and there was nothing extraordinary about them that would make them stand out from the crowd.

However, their son Asher was a different story. He was a strange child, even by their standards. He had no friends to speak of, but he seemed content with his own company. He spent most of his time with his imaginary friend, Faye. Asher was a quick learner, and he knew many things that were utterly foreign to his parents. He had a unique perspective on the world, and he often shared his thoughts with his parents.

Their thoughts about him were always filled with worry and concern.

On Asher's eighteenth birthday, he surprised his parents by announcing that he wanted to travel the world. Jacob and Zilpah were happy that their son had finally found something that he was passionate about. They encouraged him to pursue his dreams and wished him all the best. However, as time went by, their son's absence became more and more worrisome.

After Asher left, there was no news from him. They were worried about their son every day, wondering if he was hurt, dead, or kidnapped. They longed to hear from him and wanted to know if he was safe. They asked around, but no one seemed to have any information about their son's whereabouts. They felt lost and helpless, not knowing what to do.

As they continued their walk through the market, they couldn't help but notice that more and more people were mentioning this mysterious person with the same name. It was as if fate was trying to tell them something, trying to nudge them towards discovering the truth.

Over the course of the next two years, they heard countless rumors and tales about this other person with their son's name. Some stories were outlandish and unbelievable, like the ones about a powerful warlock or a marionetting woman disrupting an arena tournament. There were also less exciting ones, as when someone broke a long-standing card game record by defeating his opponent in one round and placing 53 cards on the table, breaking the previous mark by 23.

Despite all these rumors, the couple continued to live their lives. They had no reason to believe that their son was anything other than the simple farm boy they knew him to be.

Recently, they once again heard about a stranger with the same name, who had achieved a breakthrough in human-elf relations in the kingdom of Phosawroufstinenge. They thought nothing of it, just another rumor about someone with the same name, however strange that might be.

Then, one day, they arrived home to find a stranger sitting in their kitchen. He was tall, blond, and had pointed ears. He was sipping tea and had a bright smile on his face. Jacob and Zilpah were taken aback, wondering who this person was and how he had gotten into their home.

"Hi Mom, Hi Dad."
