“Who are you? What have you done to my sister?” Jessica cried out.

“I am Ni… no, this is my body now!” she jerked her head violently “I am Euraci. I AM EURACI.” Euraci began to step towards Jessica but stopped and grabbed her head in apparent agony. She let out a deep groan and Nikki’s voice came out “Run! She’s wants to kill you Jessica.”

Euraci roared and said “Shut UP!” She reached out to grab Jessica. Before she could, Skye grabbed onto Jessica and forced her backwards. “Do you genuinely think you stand a chance against me?” She reached out and Jessica could feel herself being yanked towards Euraci.

Blaze rolled and slammed into Euraci's side. Jessica dropped to the ground and Skye quickly supported her to stand up. “Get off me you pathetic waste” Euraci grabbed onto Blaze and hurled him aside into a vehicle nearby. Her right arm began to spark wildly and Glass jumped onto Jessica as a brilliant beam of energy burst forth from Euraci's arm.

Glass seemed to squeal in agony as the beam seared into its goo as it struggled to protect Jessica. Daisy rolled into view and began to fling objects off the ground at Euraci. Stopping the beam, Euraci began to dodge and fire at Daisy. Glass slid off Jessica, and she reached out and touched it concerned for its health. Glass waved a tendril weakly indicating it would be okay.

Skye came over and caressed her hand. Jessica felt a strange warmth flow up from her hand and into her mind, like a long forgotten voice. Something clicked deep within her, and Skye began to liquify and flow over her body. Glass soon followed and Jessica found that she was presently inside a suit that was similar to Euraci’s but a greenish-blue one.

A display appeared in front of her eyes and she felt a tingling at the back of her neck. Jessica immediately understood what the display was telling her. Warnings were filling her vision, as she glanced at the black suited thing that taken control of her sister. Euraci looked back at her and said “I see that you have figured out how to wield them.”

Her new senses from the suit screamed that Euraci was powering up something unpleasant. Jessica flinched and a glowing shield popped up around her. Euraci dashed forward laughing and struck her fist against the shield launching Jessica up into the air. "You forgot to ground the shield!"

Flying upwards, Jessica was a bit dazed by the hit. The display shifted and she saw Euraci jumping up right next to her. Euraci began to punch her shield over and over lifting her farther up into the air. Despite being blocked by the shield each hit sent a numbing pain down her body.

They had reached so far into the sky, the fires below looked like dots. Her shield began to fail against Euraci's constant assault. Gathering her senses, Jessica reached out as the shield failed and caught her sisters fist. Quite angered by this thing inhabiting her sister, Jessica roared “Get out of my sister you fucking bitch.”

As they began to fall back to the ground, Jessica wrapped her legs around Euraci and began to whale on Euraci with a flurry of blows. Euraci tried to avoid most of the blows, but was shaken by several strikes on her helmet. Furious Euraci broke free with a force field shoving Jessica away.

They were now only a hundred feet above the ground, when Euraci fired that beam cannon again at Jessica. Unable to dodge, Jessica took the full force of the blow and was slammed hard into the ground below. With pain engulfing her body, Jessica crawled out of the crater she had just made.

A mutant lizard ran up to her and tried to strike Jessica as she feebly stood, only to be ripped in half by a black tentacle as Euraci came charging through the spouting blood with a massive haymaker punch. Dodging to the side, Jessica jumped into Euraci, grabbing her waist she slammed Euraci hard into the ground.

“I will not allow you take over my sister! Get the fuck out of her” Jessica said striking her fist over and over into Euraci helmet.

“Why are you hitting me sister?” Nikki’s voice sounding scared came through, and Jessica paused startled only for Euraci to shove her off and grabbed Jessica’s leg and flung her through the old house the sisters had lived in. Going through several walls before rolling to a halt on the other side of the building. Jessica felt ill and pain roared through her body.

As she got up, Jessica saw Blaze rolling swiftly towards her. When Blaze touched her, it seemed to start merging with her suit, altering the color of the suit to a more violet color. As it connected, a sense of weapons came over her. With a roar Euraci jumped over the building towards her, a targeting reticule appeared, and Jessica reached out with her arm and a dazzling brilliant light flashed out and struck Euraci.

The black suited Euraci slammed into the side of an armored vehicle with an audible groan from Euraci. Dragging herself out of the hole in the vehicle, she reached out a beam of black light reached out towards Jessica. Her display roared warnings and sheer terror made her dodge impossibly fast. Looking back she saw the beam carve out a terrible path and slice through the ground and several fleeing slavers.

Standing Jessica yelled “Nikki, I know you are in there. You can fight her!”

“SHUT UP! SHUT UP! This is my body!" Euraci said clutching her head again.

Dashing towards Euraci, “We will survive this!”

Euraci growled and swung at Jessica. Jessica dodged and gets her into a hold and shoved her to the ground and said “Nikki, I’m here for you! I won’t let this thing take you over. Come on you can beat her."”

A black tentacle came out of Euraci and seized Jessica and hurled her aside. Jessica rolled and got back to her feet. Daisy rolled forward and jumped onto Jessica flowing into the suit. The color of the suit changed to a grey color. Information started to pour through all of it screaming to stay away from Euraci.

Standing Euraci cracked her neck and said “I was worried you wouldn’t be worth the effort. I'm going to have to go all out."

Massive power began to rip from Euraci, and Jessica once more felt space twist around her. Jessica felt as if a new muscle in her mind suddenly cramp up, and time seemed to slow to a crawl. Jessica began to move impossibly fast. Each step she took felt like she was moving through thick water and weighed a ton.

Something horrific appeared where she had stood moments before. As time gradually began to move back to normal, Jessica felt a formidable pulling force trying to yank her backwards. Her display once again screamed warning and a tentacle reached out from her and grabbed onto a nearby pole and wrenched herself forwards.

The pulling force began to grow in strength. Each step was agony on her bones. Objects, people, mutants flew past her as they were pulled towards the source. Even the very ground was starting to be torn apart. Glancing back she saw a small black floating orb radiating strong light as things were pulled into it.

Several seconds went by, until all of sudden the pulling force stopped. Jessica felt her shield struggled to come back online as the orb pulsed. As it did so, an explosion ripped forward and slammed into Jessica causing her to fly forwards and slam through another part of her house that was ripped to shreds by the explosion.

Nearly blacking out over the pain ripping through her body, Jessica could tell that the blobs were reaching the limit of what they could take. Warnings appeared letting her know that they were also running out of energy and would not be able to sustain the suit much longer.

Getting to her hands and feet, Euraci suddenly appeared and delivered a massive kick to her side. Jessica flipped several times in the air, before Eurachi caught her and slammed her into the ground. "It seems we are coming to the end of our little game." Euraci said Placing her foot on Jessica's neck.

Jessica struggled weakly to get her foot off. "Looks like I am the survivor." When Euraci said that, she twitched and grabbed her head again in agony. "Not again!"

Freed Jessica weakly stood and said "My sister is tougher than you, get out of her." With that Jessica gathered all of her remaining power and rammed it into Euraci's helmet. Euraci flew several feet, and Jessica collapsed. Her armor disperesed with the blobs sliding off her, and forming quivering piles of goop.

They weakly moved away trying to push Jessica up and away. The black suited figure stood up and the helmet melted away revealing her sisters face. An odd voice began to speak from her mouth. "Strange, This is strange, we are struggling for dominance. Our minds are merging, we are terrified."

"Nikki, I'm here for you."

The black suited figure looked at Jessica "Anger we have such anger towards you. We should execute you." It reached out and then pulled it's hand back. "No. Not yet, not when there is another option. Yes, how did we forget?"

The figure looked at the sky and said "Jessica, We will discover our compatriots. You will be invited to join us then." It began to float, and reached out and Jacob, who looked like he had gone mad floated out to its grasp. "We will take this one. Survive Jessica, for we will return."

"No!" Jessica yelled trying to reach towards her sister who was floating out of reach. Her sister smiled down at Jessica and twisted space and disappeared. Jessica cried out and fell to her knees. A sense of catastrophic failure washed over her as she sat crying.

While she was sitting down, Jessica felt something pat her back. Looking over she saw Skye, reaching she hugged the blue blob and cried into its goo. "Can we save Nikki?" Jessica asked.

Skye looked troubled and reached out and touched Jessica's fore head. An image of their mechanical pod appeared, then a picture of the sun, then one of the fusion plant. Finally a picture of a black chamber with a spinning crystal in the middle appeared.

"So we need to retrieve your mechanical pod?" Jessica asked.

The blobs gathered around her and nodded. "When can you make the suit again? If Eurachi manages to take over again, we are going to have to fight again."

Skye performed several motions and an image of time and energy recharging appeared. Jessica felt like she was getting better at communicating with the blobs. "Can you tell me what happened with my sister?"

Daisy shrugged and an image of the red crystal overlapped with her sisters face. "What do you think it's going to try and do?" An image of a purple crystal changed into red, and Jessica saw picture of herself getting covered in black slime.

"She wants to change me into something like her?" Jessica asked and they nodded. "Then we need to figure out how to stop her and get my sister back to normal."

Jessica's body felt immensely sore, and it hurt to walk. Walking to the back yard she recovered her rifle she had dropped. One of the vehicles was still nearby. As she traversed the yard, a figure crawled out of the hole in the middle of the yard. Jessica recognized it as Doctor Melissa.

"Doctor, your still alive!?"

"Barely. I had to jump down that tunnel when you started fighting that thing. What the hell was that thing anyway? Did you manage to kill it?"

"It was something from the weapons facility below us. I didn't kill it, it just went away for the moment."

"Great, we need to get out of here then."

Before they could start moving towards the vehicle, several lights in the sky appeared and searchlights began to roam over the area. Doctor Melissa said "Shit we need to get out sight now!" She dove into the tunnel.

Jessica followed with the blobs and said "Why do we need to get out of sight?"

"You may not know it, but that Papa Bright was a brother to a nearby Sky City leader. He is going to be pissed when he finds his brother dead. Given how he accepted his brother's trade, I don't want to find out how he will treat us."

Climbing down she entered the bunker and found it was extensively devastated from the explosions above. Jessica secured the door behind them and said "Why didn't we take the vehicle?"

"They were made up in the sky city. If you don't think they have a way to track them, you are crazy."

"We can't stay here. It's only a matter of time before they come down to check on this bunker. With how damaged it is, it's not going to hold them back." Jessica said.

"Then we go through the Weapons facility."

"What?"

"I saw the ground radar printouts. I know your bunker is connected to the facility below, according to the readouts, it looked like the facility had several other exits. We can escape through one of them."

Jessica hesitated and looked down at the blobs who looked terrified at the thought of entering that place. "It's not a good place Doctor."

"Yeah, and if we stay here, we will die."

Looking at the blobs Jessica said "I have to survive. Guy's we are going to have to go into there."
