Jessica thanked Lisa for the advice and walked out of the lobby with Melissa. Under the morning sun, Jessica could see several needles in the gutter of the street. As they passed an alley, she could see a man lying under some rotting makeshift shelter, he grinned at her toothlessly.
Other than the destitute man, she did not see any other people walking around the area. Jessica remarked on this to Melissa who said "Most likely, people only come out in this area at night." Melissa pointed at a club they passed who had a time at night for when they opened.
"Not sure if that is good or not."
The building that Lisa had mentioned soon appeared. There was a giant sign of a bowl above its entrance. A blinking sign in its window indicated they were open. The whole building stood out from the rest of the buildings, it was sparkling clean.
Opening the door, Jessica held it open and let Melissa and the blobs enter then followed them in. The Floor was made out of red and white panels, and the decor held similar themes. In the back was a device belting out a song that Jessica did not recognize. There where rows of tables along the wall and a counter with several red and white chairs in front of it.
When they entered, a pretty young woman greeted them. She had her black hair pulled into a ponytail and was wearing a bright red lipstick. She was also wearing a black and white outfit, though noticeably it was snug around her large bust. She spoke and said "Welcome to the best restaurant in Burnt Sage, Bowls of Gratitude. My name is Sandy, today I will be your waiter, would you like to sit at a table, or at the counter?"
"Table for six please." Melissa said.
Sandy nodded and led them to a large table in the back and Jessica sat down on a plush bench that was surprisingly comfy. The blobs took the otherside of the table, and Melissa sat down next to Jessica. The woman gave the blobs a glance then handed a pair of papers to the both of them.
"Here is our menu, we serve breakfast only during the morning. All desserts however are available during all times of day. Our specialty HM Shakes are out of this world good. I highly recommend them to all visitors to Burnt Sage. It's taste that you will never forget."
"I'm guessing those are made with Ice Cream you get from the Creamery Gang?" Melissa asked.
"Why yes, thank you for asking. The Shakes are all hand made with Ice Cream obtained from the Creamery's. We add several secret ingredients to make the most delicious milkshake you will ever taste, one truly out of this world!"
Jessica said "I can't say the idea of drinking human milk appealing."
"I was like you at first, hesitant to try it. But once I did, I could not stand for any less then the quality of what is provided by the Creamery Gang. I drink it once a day and I believe I am healthier for it." Sandy gleamed at them.
"Maybe some other time," Jessica said and looked down at the paper to see what they had available for breakfast. They only had three options. "I will have the eggs with toast and some ripper bacon to go with it."
"I'll take a bowl of cream of wheat-two with a glass of screaming fire."
Writing down their orders, Sandy nodded and said "I'll go and put in your orders."
"Wait a moment please. I need to order for them as well." Jessica said pointing at the blobs.
"Of course, we do not forbid feeding pets, what will they like?"
"Let's go with the pancake surprise for them. One plate for each of them, so four orders."
Blaze waved at Jessica and pointed at the sign of the milkshake. "One milkshake as well." Jessica said.
"I have a Eggs and toast with ripper bacon, a cream of wheat-two bowl with a glass of screaming fire, four orders of pancakes surprise, and one milkshake. I will take your order to the cook. We will start making your orders shortly." Sandy walked to the back and Jessica could hear her conversing with the chef in the back.
When the waitress had gone, Jessica looked at Melissa, "I think they use milk to make cream of wheat-two."
"Yeah they do. It's really strange, this place strongly reminds me of the restaurants back up in the sky cities. In fact I think I heard this song while I was living up there."
"You think the owner used to live up in one?"
"Possibly. This place looks a little to clean running to not be otherwise."
For several minutes they waited till Sandy came back with a large platter. Setting it on a nearby table, she handed Jessica her plate and a fresh smell of cooked eggs wafted into her nose.
"We just got in fresh ripper meat yesterday."
"Where do you get your meat from?" Melissa asked.
"From the walls. After mutants attempt to assault the city, our boss likes to go out in the morning and find some select pieces of meat."
"Handy that." Jessica said, and Sandy placed more plates out.
"Here is your cream of wheat-two made with fresh human milk." Sandy slid a bowl in front of Melissa.
Melissa said "thank you."
"Here is your drink of Screaming Fire and the HM Shake and here is your silver ware." Sandy handed out some knives and forks to Jessica and Melissa then some over to the blobs.
To the waiters amazement, the blobs picked up the utensils and began to cut away at the food. "Amazing, how did you teach them to do that?"
"They are really smart." Jessica said.
"That is really cool, I want a pet like that. I will come back later to see if you need anything else. Please enjoy your meal."
Blaze took a straw, and Jessica heard it slurping down the Milkshake. "Hey pancakes first then dessert." She scolded the red blob who waved a tentacle and then began to eat the pancakes.

Focusing on her own meal, she took a bite of the eggs and found they were cooked perfectly and tasted great. The Ripper bacon had a unique flavor. It was crisp, yet it seemed to melt in her mouth with a meaty flavor that was incredible. She was tempted to hunt down more rippers just, so she would have a supply of this meat. This was truly one of the best meals she had in a while.
While she was savoring her meal, Jessica glanced over at Melissa and saw the woman just basically plowing through the bowl. She wasn't even sure Melissa was even tasting the food given how fast she was eating. "How is your food?"
"Actually quite good, never had human milk, at least not when I was an adult. It tastes great. The Screaming Fire drink however, is not as hot as I would like it to be."
"Really?" Jessica said and took another look at the red drink that was nearly glowing. "Can I try it?"
"Sure, though you should be careful, it is spicy."
Jessica reached over and took a sip of the drink. When the liquid touched her tongue, it felt as if she had dipped her mouth into fire. Coughing she said "You can drink that?"
"Yeah, I like it hot."
"Back to the Human Milk do you think it's safe to drink? I mean they do use a chemical to get the woman to produce it. Maybe we should have the blobs analyze it, just to be safe?" Jessica asked.
"That is a good suggestion."
Jessica looked at Skye, and the blue blob nodded in agreement. Melissa handed over a portion of the cream of wheat to the blob. The blob dissolved it and then it sent an image of a large container, followed by an image of a womans breast expanding. Then a clock appeared, and it passed by a short time.
"I think Skye is telling me if you have a large quantity in a short amount of time, you could start getting larger breasts."
"Must still have a trace of hormones in it. Would this affect guys as well?"
Jessica looked at the blue blob. Skye looked in thought for a minute a then an image of an even larger container. "Yeah, but they will need a larger amount to be effected. What about you Blaze, how does the HM Milkshake taste?"
The red blob was slurping away and then it waved a tentacle at Jessica and an image of a huge breasted woman appeared and dozens of shakes. "It appears as if the shakes are more potent."
"That might explain our waitress bust size. Her back must hurt from walking around like that."
After they had finished the meal, Sandy soon came over and asked "So how did you enjoy your meal?"
"It was alright. So does the Creamery Gang sell you the Human milk and Ice cream directly?" Melissa asked.
"Yes, my boss has a close relationship with the second in command." Sandy said.
"Were out of town, how hard is it to purchase a large supply of the Ice Cream?" Melissa continued.
"Well, I'm not entirely sure. I've heard the Creamery is not allowed to directly sell outside of the city, so if you want to get more ice cream your going to have to buy from third-party sellers like us."
"I see. Thanks for letting us know."
"I will bring your check over." Sandy said and headed to the back.
When the waitress had gone, Jessica looked at Melissa. Melissa said "I'm looking for an in with Creamery. If we pose as buyers, we might get some a lead on some plans."
"Yeah we might get a lead, and also put is into danger." Jessica said.
Sandy came back and said "Your total comes to forty arcs. Do you want a shake to go?"
"No, thank you." Jessica pulled out the Arcs and handed them to her. "We need to pick up some supplies, is there a general store nearby?"
"Well there is a store a few blocks over, it sells a wide variety of things. Are you looking for something specific?"
"We are going to be fixing up the inn up the road."
"They do have a hardware section in the shop. The store is called Monumental Shack. So you are helping Old Rick out?" Sandy asked.
"Yeah."
"That's good, it was sad to see his Inn turn to shit like that. The boss will be happy to hear that it's getting fixed up. Might draw in more customers here. Though you might want to be careful, I heard some rumors that the Scorpion Kings have a plan to turn the inn into a brothel."
"Isn't that what it as at the moment?" Jessica said.
"Nah, those are just cheap pros. What they want is a High class brothel. They want to draw some of the Gallery of Fools cliental over this way."
"We will keep that in mind. Thanks for the warning. Oh, I am a doctor, if you are having problems with your back, please come see me." Melissa said. They stood up from the table and headed outside.
Following the directions from Sandy, they crossed the street and went down a few blocks into a new area. Where the Scorpion Kings area looked a bit run down, this area looked more bugged down. Barbed wire lined the roads, and Jessica guessed they had entered Wounded Falcon territory.
Several people walked by them, some of the people wore something that looked like a uniform. It was all black and had a red falcon emblazoned on th back of the jacket they wore. They gave a long glance at them as they passed, and an even longer glance at the blobs following them.
Monumental Shack was truly monumental in size. It took up nearly the whole block. There were several guards outside the door, and it felt more like a military base then a place to buy things. Jessica went up to the guards who waved them through the door.
When they got inside, they could see rows upon rows of shelves. However, they had to follow a line in order to walk around the store. Armed guards were at points to ensure that you followed the line around. Several of the rows were closed off and you had to have a pass to enter them.
