In the very beginning, the universe was composed of nothingness. Still, time existed, but even that only theoretically. Past, present and future... They had no meaning. Nothing mattered at that point. However, the universe itself had a will. A will for change. From that will, two beings were born. They were the embodiment of the universe. These beings were equal. They both had the same train of thought and understood each other as if they were one and the same.
Even though they were equal, however, they had two distinct names and genders. The first one was named Ket with male gender and the second one Blanc with female gender. These beings could take any shape they wanted. Whatever shape and size they took, Blanc's body was bright white with wings covered in light purple, whereas Ket had a darker body color and hazel wings. Their original and preferred form was that of a phoenix-like being with 5 pointy tails.
Time was beginning to become relevant. Since their first appearance these beings were looking at each other, touching each other's wings, tails and face, while trying to understand what existence meant. The silence lasted about a day. It came to an end when Blanc said
"Who am I?"
Of course the language they communicated with wasn't English. But I now know much more than what they were saying. Their thoughts, desires and questions about the world. Even though there was nothing there to begin with, they could grasp the meaning of the word "World". The void they were in was considered their World.
So the question that arose in Blanc's mind was "Do we really exist?" Without noticing, she said it out loud.
Ket thought for a few seconds and reassured her.
"Yes, We are indeed alive, because we can think and converse with each other."
Ket said the following as well
"But, where are we? Is life just this emptiness or something more that we cannot comprehend?"
Blanc looked at the feathers of her right wing and then stared deep into the abyss of emptiness.
"Life is the reality of our imagination. We were born with nothing in mind and no imagination. This world of void is the result of it." she said.
"But, this is not the world I want to live in. I want it to change..." said Ket desperately.
"Give me thy palm (paw), then. Let us create a world that we'd be proud to live in".
And so their hands touched and their dream came true. A world full of life and excitement replaced that previous lifeless one.
————————————————————————————
The world vibrated with colours and life. Blanc asked Ket a random number. When he chose a random one that came to mind, Blanc nodded, calculated something in her head and told him where they would go next. To a planet named Earth...
Upon arriving to that land, they decided to use their powers in order to put to work their imagination. Touching each other's hand enables their power. Two gods as they were they could create anything they wanted if they combined their will and individual strength.
In this way, nature on earth was created. Vast oceans filled with underwater life, endless lands with unique sceneries (Tropical forests, deserts, etc) and a clean blue sky above their heads, adorning their vision. The World was a lively place and the two of them enjoyed their creation for years on end. They also learned how to love and care for each other, understanding in this way their feelings to the fullest.
These times could be described by total bliss and joy. Spending time exploring the World as well as interacting with other animals that they had initially created was too much fun for them. Five Millennia had passed, yet the two of them were still happy with everything.
But at some point that firm excitement began to fade away. They had done everything there was to it. They had explored every nook and cranny of the world, talked about countless things, opinions, wants, and even had more philosophical discussions similarly to their first ones.
As a result, an emptiness started to fill Ket's heart.
"Well, there is nothing new and exciting we can do anymore. We did everything there was to it and now loneliness is starting to seep into my soul. I feel... Lonely... Is this feeling mutual, Blanc?
Blanc responded with "Well, I understand your feelings, Ket. It's been a long time since something interesting has happened."
Ket answered with "It's just the two of us in this entire world after all. It's only normal that we'd get lonely someday."
Both of them thought for a long time.
Suddenly, Ket suggested the following: "What if we created another Godlike being that we could befriend and share our happiness and experiences with?"
"That's a brilliant idea, Ket!" Blanc responded with afterwards.
Ket felt extremely happy after being praised by Blanc and took pride in his idea.
However, Blanc had an objection in mind and then went on to convey her concerns.
"If we created that godlike being, however, we could never know how it would react to its creation. In other words, predicting its behaviour is almost impossible. What if it turned on us and tried to kill us? It would be able to do so if it were a God like us... The plan is certainly dangerous. We wouldn't want to take such a risk, would we?"
Shocked by that statement, Ket tried to fix his proposed plan. After a while, he found a possible solution.
"Okay I got it. We'll create a godlike being, but it will be inferior to us. It will have godly powers but far less potent to what we have. There can be no God without power after all..."
"But the most important thing is the following: If it tried to use its power in order to harm or destroy us and our creation, then a curse will activate resulting in its death. That would prevent any malicious actions from happening. Therefore, we will be able to teach the Created Goddess the love of our world safely, without putting our lives and creations in danger."
Blanc responded with "I was trying to think of something similar, but your plan is really impressive. Okay Ket, let's do this."
And so they created a Godlike being, with inferior powers and a curse that was named "The Curse of the Created Goddess"
She was so beautiful, Ket and Blanc stared at her in awe. A goddess surrounded by absolute beauty. She had long silver hair and skin so smooth and pale, her charm was truly unparallered. Aima was her name and she was the first being that had a Human form, resembling very much to the human race we have today.
Before she was created, however, the two gods had agreed to keep everything a secret so as to prevent any casualties. They also decided that they would stop using their powers or keep that to a minimum, so that the goddess would not develop any suspicions about them.
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
After waking up, Aima anxiously said out loud "Where am I? What is this place?"
The two gods, then put on a play so that the created goddess was on the same page as them.
"Ah, you're finally awake, Aima. Okay then, let's go."
"Wh— Who are you two?"
Aima then looked at her own two hands and thought "Who even am I?"
"Don't you remember?" asked Ket the beautiful human.
Aima shook her head many times. In response, Blanc faked a sigh and began explaining everything.
"We three, are gods who created this world many many years ago with our combined power. Even though we lost all of our powers thereafter, we decided to explore this unknown world ahead of us together. What a fun and joyful experience this will be, don't you agree?"
"Come! This way! We'll show you the ropes 'round here. It's gonna be fun!" said the other twin-god.
Aima was way too confused but she hesitantly agreed to follow them.
The 3 of them went on to explore the World Blanc and Ket had initially created. On the way, the Created Goddess had so much fun exploring the beauties of such a wonderful world with 2 other friends and learned so many things from the journey. She was taught how to develop a cooperative spirit, understand others' and her own feelings, how to be respectful and have gratitude towards the beauty of nature, as well as offer and accept the most precious feeling of them all, Love.
As the centuries passed like the breeze of autumn, the two gods wanted to make things more interesting and breathtaking for themselves and especially Aima.
They would use their powers secretively to create new things that would amaze Aima. They both wanted to impress her and make a good image of themselves in her head.
Her unparallered beauty and appealing personality had undoubtedly made them develop feelings for her. Feelings that they could no longer supress, but gladly wanted to express.
One day for example, when Aima went to sleep, Blanc used the godly powers to form rain in the sky.
She wanted to impress her by creating infinite water for their crops without having to collect it manually. Not to mention the beauty of this natural phenomenon that would hopefully touch her heart...
What the twin siblings didn't understand, however, was that they were indeed playing with fire.
They continued to use their powers and materialize interesting ideas. But that was their ultimate mistake. The Created Goddess finding out about the powers, only they, had.
On that fateful night, their life as they knew it would come to an end. The twins (now in their human form) told Aima that they'd go for a quick walk to gather herbs near the lake. Aima stayed back as usual.
When they arrived at the lake, Ket came up with a wonderful idea. It was his turn to try and impress Aima. Ket wanted to see Aima's reaction were she to take in the aesthetic beauty of green lights floating in the sky. Blanc was really excited about it as well and so they decided to use their powers to create the Polar Lights (Auroras).
They looked up in the sky, held their two hands tightly and then unleashed their almighty Godly powers. The Polar lights appeared above their heads and smiles were put on their faces.
However, when they brought their heads down, they saw her glaring at them. It was the Created Goddess, Aima, indeed. She had abandoned the house and followed them in secret. Taking into account what they had told her ages ago, about them being stripped of their powers after creating the universe, a chill ran down both of their spines. The Created Goddess said in a slightly angry, yet a bit sorrowful manner
"What are you two doing there? Are these the herbs you were supposedly collecting? What about these Godly Particles over here? Can you please explain yourselves...?"
Shocked as they were, they came with no answer at first. Aima was driven up against the wall.
"Are we doing a staring contest or what?! DO AS I SAY FOR ONCE!"
"Well, we were gonna tell you anyway—"
Ket stopped Blanc on the spot and resorted to lying again.
"Listen, Aima, as we were about to gather the herbs from the river, we accidentally held hands. Then, we noticed that we were able to activate these ancient powers we once had! We were going to tell you after getting back home, but we—"
The one lie after the other, a huge pile of them had formed that was about to crumble.
"I can't believe you're lying to me even now!" Aima said in a tone more desperate than infuriating.
"Lying? Why would I lie to you?" said Ket supposedly ignorant.
"Do you think I never had suspicions of you Ket and Blanc? Of course and I had! At some point in time and ever after, you two were starting to distance yourselves way too much from me. You discussed things when I wasn't there and even talked in secret."
"No, we were trying to—"
"Let me finish, KET! It was like you were always one step ahead. You explored everything on your own and then showed me the "wonders" of this world. It all seemed way too weird and even fake at times. And one day I understood what was going on.
When I was supposedly sleeping, you two stepped outside, hid behind an enormous tree, held hands and then did something. I was scared of you noticing me and so I went back inside, still pretending to be asleep. And immediately after, somehow, water started falling down from the sky.
Even though I was staring at the phenomenon in awe, a certain question had stuck in my head. "Were they lying to me about our lost powers?" My suspicions grew day by day... "What if I have powers, too?" I tried to create something like this phenomenon you spoke of as "rain" but to no avail.
From my sheer anger alone I was able to do something distinct. I managed to use a really small fraction of your Godly powers to temporarily disappear. Then, to confirm my suspicions, I used this power to follow you..."
Aima closes her eyes in disbelief. She opens them again and loudly shouts
"AND HERE I AM, PROVING THAT YOU'RE LYING TO MY FACE! "
"I've had enough of being left out and of your constant lying. Now, tell me the truth or I'll use every last bit power I have left to Destroy this world."
The moment she said that, she created a small scepter out of a thin piece of stone and looked at them angrily.
"DON'T DO IT, AIMA! IT'S—"
"And why shouldn't I? ARE YOU FOR REAL...? You two have been using almighty powers
constantly! That's Enough! TELL ME THE DAMN TRUTH!"
Blanc, who stayed quiet all this time, stepped up and said.
"It was Ket's idea all along. After finishing our exploration of the world, Ket was starting to become bored of our created world. He wanted to create someone else similar to me, a God, so that communication was possible, all in order to alleviate his feelings of loneliness and boredom."
"What?" Ket says as if he didn't hear that right.
"But his idea of creating you was risky, therefore he decided to blight you with a curse so that you could be controlled. As a result of that curse, trying to kill us or our creation will lead to your death. Keeping our powers a secret served only to protect that truth."
Aima blinks many times in a row and says
"You- You- You're joking, right? Thi— This is impossible... I— I....."
"WHAT? Ket shouts as madness enslaves his mind.
"WHAT NONSENSE ARE YOU SPITTING BLANC?! YOU AGREED WITH MY PLAN AND THOUGHT THIS WAS OKAY, DIDN'T YOU? IT WASN'T MY DOING ALONE! SHE'S LYING, AIMA! WE'RE BOTH HERE TO BLAME. SHE'S— SHE'S LYING!"
"I remember saying that it'd be kind of dangerous to create her. But so desperate were you about it, that I didn't want to bring your hopes down."
"BLANC, YOU- YOU— YOU RIDICULOUS LIAR!"
"Both of us are liars, so there's nothing that makes me so special. On the other hand, what makes you different is that silly plan of yours. Now that I think of it, Aima should have been created free like us. How wrong I was to ever agree with such a stupid idea."
Ket got extremely mad and transformed into his phoenix-form. His anger had filled his heart to the brim. He flew towards Blanc with the intent of slashing her with the nails of his paw.
Blanc thought "Are you really going to—" and she transformed as well.
She flew to the right and avoided him completely. Blinded by his anger, as he changed direction to follow her, he accidentally hit Aima's right eye.
The most innocent of the three having her indigo colored right eye bleeding without any
reason was surely unacceptable.
"I'm— I'm so sorry, Aima... I—"
Aima held her eye with one hand and the scepter with the other. She then said with an expression that showed her sense of betrayal and anger.
"So, you're telling me that I was— created... That I was being lied upon for millennia... That I was just a thing you made in order to cure your boredom... That I would DIE if I were to be like YOU?! Not to MENTION all these YEARS that you've been pushing me away AS IF I WAS A TOY! AND ON TOP OF THAT, You have the AUDACITY to end up hurting me EVEN MORE?!"
"No, Aima! I really didn't mean to—"
"Look what you did now! You're fucking messed up in the head, Ket! Aima please calm down, I'll try to fix what he's done. Don't worry. I'll make things right!"
"DON'T THINK YOU'RE ON THE CLEAR BLANC! YOU TWO ARE THE WORST LIVING BEINGS IN THIS ENTIRE WORLD. I WHOLEHEARTEDLY HATE YOU!
AND THIS, IS THE EMBODIMENT OF MY FEELINGS FOR YOU! FAREWELL!"
Aima held the scepter with both hands. A bloody tear fell down and immediately after, she hit the ground with the scepter with all her might, using up the small amount of Godly Essence she could use.
So uniquely powerful was the strike, that after impact, it caused a world-ending earthquake, followed by an immense scale shockwave that caused the world they were standing on to be divided into 3 different lands. Life-threatening substances were then exposed in the atmosphere. The twin siblings Blanc and Ket, now hating each other like arch-enemies, flew away from each other and away from the impact's location to avoid the destruction.
Aima had activated the "Curse of the Created Goddess" and mere seconds after she had struck the ground with her scepter, blood came out of her eyes and then her entire body was blasted from the inside out. The huge amount of blood that was released formed an expanding pool around her dead body.
And that event marked the end of the first era that lasted for millenia, called the Old World. With Aima's tragic death, the Old World was shattered into three pieces and each god then occupied a fraction of the original land.
This event is referred to as The Severance and the 3 lands, which were created because of it, are known as The Overworld, "occupied" by Aima, The Created Goddess, The Lingering World, "occupied" by Blanc, and The Underworld, "occupied" by the later known "Sinful Ket".
