The goblin Emperor Scrunch stared at the flames underneath him. The statue of their new god of death stood over him in his hideous pants and greasy shirt. The maidens of death wore their blank faces and tossed grease on the shirts. It dribbled down on to him preparing him to be sacrificed. How had everything gone so wrong.
Scrunch the Goblin Emperor, you have been tried and found guilty of being a heretic. The great god of death Nobody, the ever watchful, has slaughtered our armies and stacked the dead taller than any known gob. You knew the dangers in challenging a god and yet you foolishly sacrificed our soldiers to him.
For that you will be burned. He was thrown into the fires of sacrifice. His green skin was burned, his eyes melted out of his skull, and his bones exploded. Fire soon shot out of the goblin’s skull.
His last thoughts were on revenge. He had summoned the most devastating force known to goblin kind the Warg riders. His death wouldn’t be in vain. The largest army in goblin history was making their way out of the tunnels even as he burned.
----------------------------------------
Nobody slapped a hand against his head. Nora was busily stacking goblin bodies like firewood. The towering green pile, was already taller than him. Flies covered the bodies laying their eggs in the putrid corpses.
“That makes 100, I can’t believe how little blood they have.” Her stomach was poking out and she looked a little sloshy. “Sup handsome want to go behind a bush and smash.” A smile crossed her fanged mouth.
“Sorry, your drunk, I wouldn’t want to take advantage of you.” She would snap him like a twig.
He was currently working on his new calisthenics skill. Every level in it increased his physical stats.
“You know working with me could easily raise it.” She raised an eyebrow and brushed her blood covered hair back.
“Hey master I’m back, what the hell.” Salome stared at the mountain of bodies. “That looks unstable.” A horn blared as a contigent of goblins began to charge out of their cave.
The rancher NPC had forgotten to inform Nobody that the goblins were a full-blown empire. They created a massive underground tunnel system on the first floor and rode on the backs of wargs. Massive wolf like mounts snarling and made of muscle.
The charge was a frightening thing. They looked like a green and black avalanche. He could hear the pound of thousands of paws, as the distance between them grew ever shorter. Then they crossed the min field and a massive flower of ice shot out, just after Nobody activated Remote detonations.

It seemed whether your breaking a siege or building the siege didn’t matter.
“Yay more building materials.” Nora shouted and promptly skipped over to the Calvary of frozen goblins. Nobody sighed and continued doing pushups.
“Nora, do you know how to get to the next floor?” Nobody asked. He waited a minute and she turned to him.
“Yea, you just have head north past the village and defeat the Reita the Giantess. She’s strong though.” Nora said.
He needed better loot and more spells. Nobody looked over the piles of axes, spears, swords, staves, and hammers tossed in piles. The goblins have been collecting things from nearby areas for years.
“I think if we are to build this any higher we need to remake the foundation.” Salome said.
She was looking shiny today. The blue mana that once made up her body was replaced with an iron frame. He reached down and picked up some dirt. It was absorbed into his inventory. He picked up a goblin corpse and did the same. From there he had the option to combine the two to make fertilizer or clay. Obviously, he needed more dirt to even out with the body.
This was a simple use of the gamer system that people of this world have taken advantage of for thousands of years. What Nobody was messing around with was considered primitive.
He made a shovel with Mana Arms and began digging. Every shovel full added 1dirt.
New skill Dig lv1 +1STR +2END
He began to make use of his skill and dug a few feet down collecting dirt and making a large area. From there he collected goblin corpses and made fertilizer. Killing the nymph did give him grass seeds. From his inventory items could be combined. He merged the Grass Nymph seeds with a health and mana potion to get an Oak Dryad seed. After planting the new monster in fertile dirt, he watched it soak in mana and grow rapidly.
New skill Gardener +1WIS +2END
Nobody tossed the goblin corpses in and watched the growing dryad devour them on the spot. They slowly backed away from the spreading roots. The tower of goblin corpses was quickly absorbed. A massive oak tree began to shoot up out of the ground.
Oak Dryad lv50
The monstrous tree continued to grow as its roots began to stretch down. It would more than likely come to blows with the goblin empire in the future.
“That’s cool and all but why?” Salome asked.
“Because I could.” Nobody answered.
Gardener lv10 +9WIS +18END
His theory was correct the more difficult the task the more a skill will level. Growing a lv50 dryad was a feat if you didn’t have fertile soil and tons of corpses to feed it. Feats were what made skills level fast. He cheated the system.
If there was one way to cheat the system, there was bound to be others. He stared at his golem. Salome was a heavy metal creature. Perfect for weighted training. But there was an easier way. When mana arms produced something, it had weight.
He forced himself in pushup position and put a heavy weight on his back. Three pushups and he had another level in calisthenics. It was much harder, but the gains justified the means.
Nobody continued adding more weight until he reached 10. His body began to crack, as his muscles expanded, and he gained some height.
“Its sad when you think about it. No matter how big and strong you get. I will always be stronger and faster.” Nobody walked to the side.
“Keep your distance.” He said.
He used mana pulse and held the spell. Instead of a bubble of force shooting out from his body, he looked more like the center of a disaster. In the five seconds the spell needed to completely drain him the spell went off he used it 120times.
MP Rage lv10 +30INT +20WIS
New Spell Mana Shot

Active
Range 20m
Time 10sec charge
Description: A barrage of mana bullets directed at a single target. They appear as blue streaks before slamming into their targets.
Effect: 50 Mag Dam per shot
Cost 100MP per shot
At level 10MP Rage his spells did 500%more damage. Every shot did 250 magic damage. His thoughts were interrupted by Salome.
“Hey master, I got a quest for you from the thieves’ guild. When you’re done, I can just run back to turn it in. You have been contracted to steal from a dragon in the south. It’s a secret boss from what I understand.” Salome said.
“Your trying to get me killed aren’t you.” The golem smiled.
“Yes, and the compulsion should activate right about now.” His body shook as the compulsion took over his thoughts.
“Goodbye master, I doubt you can think about anything else but stealing from a dragon now.” Nora was snoring in the corner. He had to leave her the quest came first.
He started running with the heavy weight on his back.
Running skill lv10 +20END +30AGL
He paid it no mind. Nobody had to reach the secret area to the south.
Grassland ceased as lightning began to rain from the sky. It began to rain. The heavy weight on his back kept the wind from blowing him away.
A large spire stood in the eye of the storm. Monsters inside of it were all lv150+, there was no surviving a frontal assault. He had to steal from the dragon, not face the hordes in the spire. He created some needle like picks and began to scale the spire.
New skill Climb lv10 +50STR
His weight had become much lighter after the initial climb. Half way up the tower he tossed the weights off. The wind picked up threatening to knock him off, his grip was strong enough to hold himself there.
The rest of the trip up the spire was a series of climbing then stopping to hold on. It became repetitive, so he climbed the rest of the way. Before reaching the top, he froze when a breath attack shot just above him. It vaporized an invisible person, Nobody watched the man become dust.
He could feel the heat from the blast on his face and his body began to sweat. Some form of primal fear overcame the compulsion for a second. Just long enough for him to flee a few feet down. His body stopped itself rigid as the compulsion overtook his fearful body and he returned to climbing up.
“I smell you adventurer scaling my wall. Brave but foolish. I knew you were there from the second you climbed my tower. Prostrate yourself before me and I may spare you.” The dragon said.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
Nobody made his way up the tower and stared at a massive dragon. He looked it over a plan forming quickly. Dragons were said to be prideful, if he was to survive he needed to take advantage of that pride.
“Oh, great dragon, your scales are stronger and more beautiful than divine armor, your claws are like legions of spears, and your teeth the finest collection of weapons. I was sent here on a quest to take something from you. Please have mercy on this fool.” Nobody finished by bowing his head to the mighty dragon.
New skill Flattery lv10 +50CHR
His body restructured itself, he could feel his hair grow fuller, the bones in his nose shifted, and his jaw was reshaped.
“Hmmm, you know how to prostrate yourself and your flattery is admirable. Do you want to know a secret, why my horde is so grand?” The dragon said. She turned her head and he saw a massive horde of wealth. Gold was stacked and spilling over. Treasure chests littered the room weapons of all kinds covered the place.
“You take it from the adventurers who challenge you. That’s why the quest is under compulsion.” A smile spread across his face. “Brilliant, smarter than a thousand adventurers, did I say that one.”
“Oh, no you did not, and it is appreciated. You can stay a while, but if you take anything then I will know and well you won’t make it a mile from my tower. If you somehow resist and leave without taking anything, then I will consider the quest complete and remove the compulsion.” He sat down and waited, being this close to the treasure was enough to put off the compulsion, but if he left it would be back.
The dragon was blue her scales glittered like sapphires. It was her power that made the storm. Here in her nest, not a breeze touched them. Occasionally an adventurer would step through the door and freeze. The area around the door was covered in paralyze traps. She often opened her maw and blasted them was a concentrated beam of energy. It was often over in a flash.
Dragons are powerful creatures in this world. They have 50%immunity to all magic and 25% immunity to physical attacks from birth. Dragons can use any number of skill or magic. Their breath attacks often negate all but the strongest defenses.
He woke up one morning to her licking him. “What are you doing?” Nobody demanded of her.
“You smell terrible. I’m cleaning you. If you are to stay with me, then I demand this much.” Her massive tongue was 10x larger than his body. Her breath smelled of blood and he could see down her horribly cavernous throat.
Days passed, he was no closer to leaving than when he arrived. He stood on the edge and fired off Mana Shot. After 26, he stopped and let his MP recharge. Blue bolts of mana fired off into the distance dissipating after their range ran out.
He ate the last of his food and laid down against her. She opened and eyes and stared at him. “This is a first. What happened to I’m a big strong adventurer and can by yourself?” She asked him.
“I think we’re beyond that now. What’s your name of mighty dragon?” He asked her.
“It’s,” She let out a series of growls and hisses. “I’m going to call you Katara.” Nobody said with all seriousness.
“Call me that and your next cleaning will be in my stomach. What’s your name, I bet it’s something ridiculous?” A smile stretched his lips.
“Phil, but now its Nobody. Because I don’t like the name Phil.” Nobody said.
“Why would you rather be a Nobody than Phil a somebody?” She asked amused.
“Because, its better to be a nobody than a somebody in a strange world like this one. Having a mighty name makes you a target. Being without a name gives a sense of invincibility. After all nobody can steal from you and get away with it right.” She snorted.
“You may call me Katara, if I can call you Phil. I don’t like the name Nobody or the nonsense it claims. If you steal from me, then Nobody or somebody I will eat you.” Katara said.
“I thought you burned everyone with your breath.” Nobody said.
“The only Nobody I will eat, is you Phil. I’ve grown to like your flavor.” His stomach growled interrupted the silence.
“I’m out of food.” Nobody said.
“Then Phil it looks like you are reliant on me for charity.” Katara said.
New Skill Heavy Training lv1 +5STR
She had begun supplying him with half a deer once every three days. Eating raw meat wasn’t fun but it beat starving. Only by gaining more physical and mental strength, could he hope to overcome this challenge. That was a laugh, his chances of leaving this place were zero.
Mana Arms lv10 +8FOC +8WIS +8INT
With a few runes during the creation of the weapons he began enchanting weapons during their creation. He used an acceleration rune, giving his spears the needed range to be a long-range spell.
New Spell
Piercing Spears
Requirements: Mana Arms lv10, Rune Mastery lv10, Magic Trap Mastery lv10, 10FOC, 100INT
Range: 100m
Time: Instant
Description: Enchanted spears forged from mana accelerate at incredible speeds towards targets. The number of spears generated is determined by mana used.
Effect Mag Dam = Velocity + Mana Arms
Cost: 300MP/spear
Velocity = 10MPH x FOC
With that he had his first instant spell, take that red mages. It was incredibly expensive though. He activated the spell and fired off one of his spears. The blue weapon accelerated and peaked its speed at 120MPH. The resulting puff of sand was impressive even from the spire's height. The noise really loud.
Katara was woken from her nap and fired off a blast of blue flames. Nobody managed to leap over the edge and hang on with his picks.
“What was that?” Katara asked. She raised open and opened a single great blue eye. Blue eyes met each other, and they stared at each other for a while. It was awkward.
He decided to speak up. “I just learned a new spell and forgot how powerful MP Rage made my spells.” She nodded.
“I have the skill as well. Try to limit the MP to only what’s needed to make the spell. It should keep the spell from blowing up my tower. What’s the preparation time?” She asked curiously.
Even Mana Pulse required him to say the name. Piercing Spears was not only silent but incredibly powerful. It unfortunately ate up 5x the mana to fire one. After a minute his MP was fully recovered.
He created five and launched them all. The ground shook again as five spears slammed into the ground each a fourth of his fully charged spear’s power. Nobody turned his head to see greedy eyes staring at him.
“Interesting, you're much stronger than before.” Katara said. She knew it was only a matter of time before he left. With his increased focus her compulsion wasn’t as strong anymore. He had business with the skeletons a little way north of here. He only needed a way to gain more focus. “Perhaps, you should try meditation to learn control. It did wonders for me.”
