Jeldard Ustos has to be used. to learn magic I actually have to attend the lessons. I just need a chance to switch places with him, forcefully of course.

Well, I have to get to him, to actually change places with him, so, I need a plan to get into the academy. Knowing myself my plans are already bound to succeed.

If I use the teardrop necklace, they'll probably let me in. The identification process didn’t look that long from afar. If I put on my captive’s white robe, I can probably waltz in there. It looks like most of the identification process is based on the teardrop necklace, which my great self has acquired.

But should I have my mask on, I can’t really remove my mask, but if I keep it on it’ll be suspicious. But I suppose I have no other choice, I have to keep my mask on.

After the wizards realize the captive's disappearance, they will probably be able to track her down. Which is bad because she could give away my plans. After I sneak into the academy she has to go, I can’t leave her alive and breathing. I need to hire somebody to kill the captive after a certain time.

I can’t show myself to whoever I hire, because after her death, the wizards will probably teleport into this inn or something. After which the mercenary will probably be immediately killed or interrogated and then killed. I also need to throw the tear-shaped necklace away after sneaking in because if I have it on my person after she dies, I will be found out.

So after sneaking in and discarding the necklace I need to find Jeldard and take his place. The only idea that‘s coming to me is following him to his dorm and switching places with him there. But that’s probably easier said than done.

I can’t just follow him into his house uninvited there are going to be people who see me enter his dorm. I need to make him let me enter the dorm somehow. Socially speaking he should not have that many friends or any friends to speak of.

Considering he is a bastard of his household and his face looks burned and charred, no noble would deem him worthy of their friendship. Which is very good. Maybe I could catch him off guard. If I just come up to him and start talking to him, he should be very excited about it, I may be one of his first, hell maybe even his first friend.

If I spend enough time with him, he is bound to drop his guard.

After I get into his dorm, I’ll knock him out, I can’t kill him because his necklace will go off. After that, I can just put on his robes and necklace, and I should be able to attend the classes.

Altho, there are many things that can go wrong with this plan, but still I must do it, I need to learn magic, for my once beautiful face and to leave this barbaric world back to a more civilized, more advanced society.

So the day finally came I have prepared everything I nead. I’m currently wearing the wizard robe with the mask and have the necklace on me, I also decided to put the ring on, I’m not risking anything, the info is not that accurate, if the dealer didn’t write anything about the ring, that doesn’t mean that these people don’t use it.

I also hired a mercenary to kill the captive in about two days, I told him to run as fast as possible after killing her, but he will probably get caught anyway.

I’m currently standing in line for the entrance, nobody has noticed anything, but what do I expect, of course, my plans won’t fail, how would they? I came up with them.

As I make it to the entrance the doorman tells me with a bored and monotonous voice “Please give your soul-bound necklace for identification.”, I assume this means the teardrop-shaped necklace and give it to him.

He puts it onto some sort of magic item. It’s probably checking if it’s fake, which it is not. But I hope it isn’t also checking where its soul-bound’s location is.

I look at the accursed magic item with worry that my great plan may have a tiny flaw. The seconds pass away slowly as I burn a hole through the apparatus with my glare.

Eventually, the worker gives me my cristal back and tells me “OK you can go through, but if you have any other magical items I need to scan those too.”. I smirk under my mask in relief, happy that my great plans are still going well. I almost walk through the gate but then, I remember the ring that I have on my ring finger.
