Kai followed Elysia through the grand corridors of the palace, his eyes observing the intricate architecture and the majestic aura that seemed to hang in the air. Elysia, her youthful enthusiasm shining through, pointed out various historical paintings and artifacts, sharing snippets of information she had gleaned from her tutors.
Back in the meeting room, the adults were engrossed in planning the banquet. Hiro and Sakura were deep in discussion over the guest list, while Maximus and Celestina were locked in a debate over the menu. The air was thick with anticipation and excitement.
Meanwhile, Kai and Elysia were enjoying the serene atmosphere of the palace. Elysia chatted away about her lessons and friends at the Magic Academy, while Kai listened attentively, his responses limited to the occasional note in his notebook. Despite his physical limitations, Kai was determined to seize every moment of his second chance at life.
As they rounded a corner in the hallway, Kai narrowly avoided colliding with a maid. The materials she was carrying scattered across the floor. “Oh my! I am so sorry!” she exclaimed, bowing deeply. Elysia recognized the maid by her brown hair and green eyes. “Setz?” she asked. The maid looked up, surprised. “Oh! Hello, Lady Elysia,” she greeted, a smile spreading across her face.
Kai, confused, scribbled a quick note in his notebook and showed it to Elysia. “You know each other?” Elysia read the note and nodded, her smile widening. “Yes, Brother. Let me introduce you. This is Setz.”
Setz bowed to Kai, her smile still in place. “Hello, I am Setz.” Kai returned her smile and showed her his notebook. “Nice to meet you. My name’s Kai.” They exchanged greetings, and Elysia helped Setz gather her scattered materials. “Here you go, Setz.” Setz thanked her, “Thank you lady Elysia, but I am so sorry. I am in a hurry right now.”
“That’s fine Setz. Take care of yourself.” Elysia responded, to which Setz replied, “Yes, thank you.” she said so and hurried off, leaving Kai and Elysia to continue their tour.

As they went ahead, Elysia filled Kai in on Setz’s background. “Setz is the exclusive maid for the princesses. She’s been working here since she was five. She is always kind to everyone and plays with me when I came to the Palace.” She continued on as Kai listened attentively, his interest piqued. He asked Eva, “Eva, the Emperor and Empress have twins, right?” Kai asked, his gaze outside the window, fixed on the vibrant flowers in the palace garden. Elysia was nearby, her laughter echoing softly as she danced among the blooms.
“Yes, Sir,” Eva replied. Kai paused for a moment before writing in his note. He pulled the notebook towards Elysia, “Won’t you show me the garden?” He asked, to which Elysia beamed up and started to march towards the garden, describing the special flowers grown in the royal palace. Kai looked at her as she thought deeply about the flowers name and where they are found. He chuckled as he witnessed her being confused on her thoughts. “Tell me about the Princesses,” he asked Eva.
“Of course, Sir.” a quick response, as she stated. “The first Princess, Niatina Lunaris, is 16. She’s adored by the nobles for her kindness and intelligence, but she’s frail and often falls ill.” Kai nodded, his eyes following Elysia’s movements. “And the other one?”
“The second Princess, Montina Lunaris, is also 16. She’s well-known, but not for the same reasons as her sister.” Kai raised an eyebrow. “A troublemaker?”
“Exactly, Sir. She’s infamous for her antics in the Palace.”
“Why don’t the Emperor and Empress stop her?” Kai asked, his gaze on Elysia. Eva paused before replying, “It’s unclear, but they seem to tolerate her behavior.” Kai narrowed his eyes, turning his attention back towards the garden. “Anything else I should know?”
“There’s one more thing,” Eva said, her voice dropping to a whisper. “Princess Niatina is already engaged.” Kai paused, with a confused expression. “Huh? That doesn’t seem important.” Eva’s voice was soft, almost teasing. “Well, she would have been a perfect match for you, Sir.”
Kai sighed, shaking his head. “Not this again. You’re starting to sound like him.” As he spoke, the image of a middle-aged man in a black coat flashed in his mind. He was about to ask another question when Elysia’s voice interrupted him.
“Ah!” Elysia exclaimed, causing Kai to turn in her direction.
