Kai awoke, not to the soft morning light filtering through his window, but to an all-encompassing darkness. “Not this again,” he said, a sense of foreboding settling over him. He recognized this place; it was the void where he had previously relived memories. “I thought I already got all the memories and it was over, but it seemed there were still corners left unexplored.”
As he stood in the void, the world around him began to shift. The darkness receded, replaced by the flickering light of torches illuminating a cave-like expanse. “What’s this now?” he wondered, his gaze sweeping across the unfamiliar terrain.
He looked around him, until his heart pounded in his chest as he spotted a figure in the distance. “What the…,” What he saw was him, or rather, the original owner of his body. He watched as the figure engaged in combat with golems. Despite the figure’s amateurish sword swings, he was somehow able to cut through the stone-like skin of the golems. As he watched him engaged in the fight, a thought hit him. Kai's eyes widened as he realized, “This isn’t just any cave,” his tone becoming serious, “It’s a dungeon.”
He observed the battle, a sense of disbelief washing over him. Suddenly, a hound-like monster rushed past him, its form passing through his body as if he was not there. He stood stunned, watching the hound rush at the battle, “So, I was right. This is a memory,” he concluded, his mind teeming with questions. “But how is he standing? Wasn’t he bound to a wheelchair? And how did he end up in a dungeon? I don’t recall any memories of such an event…”
He continued to watch the battle unfold, his gaze fixed on the figure who was now panting heavily, his body slick with sweat. Around him, small screens floated in the air, displaying images of equipment and symbols. As the monsters disintegrated, they dropped items that could be collected by tapping on the screens. “Just like a game,” Kai mused, watching as the figure collected the items.

Suddenly, a screen appeared above the figure, displaying the words ‘TIME OUT’. The figure sighed, his body disappearing as the dungeon faded away. Kai felt a sense of vertigo as he started to fall, “!! Wha-!” the black pit swallowing him whole.
When he opened his eyes, he found himself in his bed, the morning sun streaming in through the window. His mind was a whirlwind of thoughts and questions, the images of the dungeon and the battle with the monster in it still playing in his mind. “What was that…?”
He sighed as he woke up, as the soft morning light fell over his face. After some time, he dressed up, sitting on his wheelchair when he heard a knock on his door. The door opened slightly, revealing Sakura who peeked her head inside. As she saw Kai was awake, she beamed up and opened the door fully. “Good morning, Kai!” she said energetically, as she entered together with a maid bringing a tray of breakfast. Kai gave her a smile, as he wheeled himself ahead. “I’ve got our breakfast, let’s eat,” she said so, as the maid put together the food on the table and exited the room.
Waving her hand towards her side, “Come here! Let’s eat together.” With a blank face, he could only sigh thinking to himself, “Guess I have no choice.”, he wheeled himself to the table, when the door opened again, revealing Hiro and Elysia together. “We want to join as well!”, they both came forward, where Elysia took a seat by Kai’s left. Hiro as well took a seat by Sakura, both of them teasing each other. “This kind of feels nice…” Kai smiled thinking to himself, while the three looked at him and smiled at each other.
