Chapter 51: Understanding The Explanation

Chapter 51: Understanding The Explanation

"Huh?" Al'ravee was taken aback. He felt his insides turn and suddenly had a strong nauseating feeling.

"What's wrong?" Ozia turned his chair to face his two passengers.

"Nothing, just felt a bit uncomfortable." Al'ravee turned to see Nordeline also rooted to her chair. Her face didn't reveal any discomfort but he was sure that she also felt the same way.

*VOOM!*

Al'ravee immediately infused some concept energy into his concept of organic body. The effect was obvious as he no longer felt that discomforting feeling.

"Also, I've been meaning to ask?..."

"Ask away Al'ravee," Lately, most conversations between Al'ravee and Ozia were that of question and answer.

"You know how there's this rule in physics that states, an object in motion will remain in motion unless acted upon by an external force. External forces like gravity, wind, and other things."

"Yes," Ozia confirmed.

Nordeline was confused. Her starting planet had been too backward for her to understand what they were saying now. She didn't bother to make her inquisitiveness known.

"That is, as long as an object is moving in a straight line if it doesn't encounter any force in its trajectory, then it would keep on moving in a straight line.

"Affirmative." Ozia naturally knew all about this.

Al'ravee continued, "Then that should mean, a spaceship moving at warp speed in space would remain at that speed even without the continuous push from the engines.

So in theory, Darius's ship or yours only needs one burst of energy. Since there is no force in space to act on it, one burst of power should be enough, so why do you keep the engines on?"

Nordeline was completely lost by now.

"Indeed, that SHOULD be the case..." Ozia replied. From the moment Al'ravee had met him, Ozia had not once frowned or smiled, or shown any unique facial expressions.

"But who said anything about moving in a straight line? The starry space itself is not really devoid of obstacles.

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.

It would be no small miracle if a space shuttle could cross ten star systems while moving in a straight line without encountering at least one obstacle.

Within a galaxy, everything is in constant motion, revolving ever so slowly around its center. So slow that one revolution could take hundreds of millions of years, and with how big a galaxy can be, that movement would be very negligible in most cases but with how big a galaxy is, those moving objects might as well be moving at superspeed.

Then there are also independent objects drifting across the void at different speeds. Some galaxies, especially the new ones, could have a relatively good environment to travel around.

But standard galaxies with several gods in them would not be safe to move around in.

Forget about the things that different entities dump around. You would be mistaken if you think the universe is only made up of stars and planets. Planet Green Cloud was in a safe place so you wouldn't notice the strange mysteries that naturally occur around you.

Apart from that..." Ozia paused. Al'ravee was captivated by this explanation.

"Warp speed travel is not about merely moving faster than light… well it is, but to do that, the ship has to constantly bend space and time and that takes an unholy amount of energy.

Darius's space shuttle is just like an egg trying to force its way through a mountain without breaking. The amount of energy used to keep it from breaking apart is massive.

There is also energy burnt to keep the ship from ripping its dwellers to shreds. With all that, there is already a break force from the engine acting upon the shuttle, preventing it from reaching light speed.

Then there is the energy used to steer the shuttle away from obstacles in its path. Things like nebulas, black holes, spatial turbulence which is quite common, asteroid fields, cosmic continents, and many other things.

Trust me, that shuttle would become scrap metal once it reaches Tavron."

Al'ravee just stared blankly at Ozia, trying to understand some terms. Indeed, there was an explanation for everything but having the ability to understand that explanation is what matters.

Clearly, Nordeline did not yet have the ability to understand.

"If that's so, then it would be very dangerous to perform interstellar travel for any organism unless they have a powerful spaceship." Al'ravee put the matter of Darius behind. If Ozia said that he would reach his destination, he could only wait.

"Not exactly, I don't need a powerful spaceship to move around in the void since I'm very powerful myself. It's just that the ship makes things a whole lot easier. Even if you remove the advantage of being able to conserve energy, there are still more pros than cons

Mortal civilizations usually come up with something."

Nordeline picked up something from the god of machinery words. She raised her hand up before asking. "Mr. Ozia, does that mean that only a god can travel 'beyond worlds' without a vessel like this?"

"Hmm, no..." Ozia's reply made Al'ravee have a bit of hope but the next words burst his bubble.

"Only god can survive in outer space without a vessel like this. Some high level mortals can adapt to void ecology and vacuum existence but that's usually it.

Gods, and level 40 and above are the standards. Anything below that power level is weak and would have a high likelihood of dying outside their planet."

Even though he didn't need it, Al'ravee still took in a deep breath. He might have had power over the mortals but that was because of their weak technology and their ineptitude to make a decision.

Al'ravee couldn't defend against the explosion of an atomic bomb, that was for sure. His soul would be left defenseless to entities that could kill him.

Right now, besides newborns, he and Nordeline were still the weakest type of gods around.

"No worries, as long as you keep on comprehending new concepts, then you will definitely reach my level one day."

Nordeline raised her hand. "Nordeline you don't need to raise your hand if you want to ask a question." Ozia mildly reprimanded her.

"How do we comprehend more concepts?"

Al'ravees' eyes lit up, he too wanted to know how to rank up. The most important thing to him now was to become more powerful.

"It's not too complicated. Al'ravee, I believe your mother explained it in her guide. Check it out."

Alravee hesitated for a moment before doing so,

From this, anyone can guess the secret.

Meditation. Constant habitual meditation on particular concepts in the right environment and the right state of mind.

But that could also take a lot of time and effort for it to have any effect.

In fact, there was a shortcut to becoming a powerful god, a really violent and aggressive shortcut.
