Chapter 2: Al'ravee

Chapter 2: Al'ravee

*Sigh*

There's a saying that everything that happens in the universe has an explanation, whether it be logical or mystical, but sometimes what is to be explained doesn't matter, what matters is the level of understanding possessed by an individual to process that explanation.

Nevertheless, that means that the existence of gods shouldn't be an enigma, right?

There are mortals… and there are gods. Every one of them, unique in their own ways and spread across countless races and different levels of civilization.

The gods, being the most unique of all entities, have an equally unique way of coming into existence.

I know that for something or someone to die, they must first have life and ALL that has life can and will die.

However, this kind of rule does not apply to the gods.

The birth of a god is more like that of creation of sorts, the manifestation of the rawest form of energy in the universe, coming together to form consciousness. One without life in a sense.

So, therefore, gods being created might not die but can and may be destroyed.

But this theory goes against gods who possess the concept of life and the concept of death

Whether their creation is a natural occurrence or a phenomenon perfectly orchestrated, I do not know

-The shepherd god.

...

At the back of a classroom filled with twenty-odd students, a fifteen-year-old boy who had an oval-shaped face, short brown hair with deep black eyes, he's eyebrows depicting worry and stress, sat uncomfortably.

'How could I have been so stupid, of all people to offend it just had to be them.' He thought while eyeing three boys not too far from his position, the boys also seemed to be exchanging glances with him as well. ' Why me, why did it have to be me, the world just decided that today, was the best time to screw me.' he cried inwardly.

The reason for his worry was that early this morning before classes had even started, he had noticed a commotion in the hallway and like other students decided to see what was up.

He arrived at a corner where he saw a rough-looking boy curled up on the floor, broken glasses not too far from his face, another boy was standing in front of him, kicking violently at his abdomen, and surprisingly no one was interfering, some even brought out their phones to record.

Usually, he would have minded his business as he was one of those guys who would avoid trouble if possible, but today, he happened to be feeling quite hot-headed, with hormones and stuff... Maybe.

This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.

He had been feeling a bit restless these days with occasional mood swings. So with the false confidence that his tall frame and comic books gave him, he walked over to the boy doing the kicking and shoved him away.

Resisting the urge to put his hands on his waist like a superhero, he pointed his finger at the supposed beater with a puffed chest and said "Shame on you, bullying people here and there, did your parents not teach you...". However before he could finish, like every normal 'bully', the boy reacted violently to a finger being pointed at him in such a way.

The bully attempted to push him away but…

*SLAP!*...

The bully"....."

The boy on the floor "...."

The crowd watching "....."

Everything happened so fast, he didn't even know why his hand did something like that.

"Oh my goodness! Ravee has got some balls today" Someone in the crowd who recognized him as Ravee said not too loud but loud enough for those around to hear.

...

"Mr. Ravee, can you please point out the problem with this equation?" The teacher called out bringing him back to the present and looking at him with a questioning eye.

His name was not Ravee, at least that wasn't his full name. His actual name was Al'ravee but his parents had drummed it into him that on no account was he to tell anyone, so he went by the alias Ravee, simple and easy to remember.

For some reason, he had never disobeyed them considering that he was a teenager, the level where most humans will be rebellious.

....

-Outside the school-

It turns out that the boy Al'ravee slapped was part of a junior martial arts club in their town. Although he had just joined a few weeks ago, that was enough for the other junior members to treat him as their own.

He wasn't the only one though, apparently, all members paid a high price to enter monthly, high enough that most families couldn't afford it, and Al'ravee's family 'couldn't'.

All it took was for a few of them to start and the full power of peer influence was put forward.

The bully who was slapped by Ravee was so shocked that he just walked away. Al'ravee mistook this action for submission, it was later that he found out the boy's origin.

Usually, he would have known about such information because his friends who pass by the club regularly would have told him about it. But his friends were not around this particular day and the boy was still new there, the news hadn't circulated well yet.

Not to mention this same guy was one of those quiet kids in the school, he wasn't even a bully. That's right, he was just retaliating against an actual bully out of anger, the kid on the floor was the actual bully. The glasses on the floor back then belonged to the quiet kid and that was also why nobody interfered in the beatdown.

The boys in the class were simply trying to keep an eye on him.

"In the comics, this is not what happens, I'm supposed to go home a hero.. a freaking hero. Wasn't it everyone's dream to stand up to the school bully, why is this turning into a nightmare? Where exactly did that boldness come from, Ai!, it must have been one of those five minutes of madness I'm sure" Ravee muttered under his breath to himself.

In the distance behind him was a group of boys tailing him carefully, murderous looks hanging on their faces. They had a bone to pick with someone, not only had Al'ravee slapped one of them, but he had done it so openly and in a way that it appeared like he was defending the bully. If they let this go, wouldn't it make everyone take them for granted?

No one touches their club member and goes scott-free.

They had to make an example. All that was needed was for Ravee to leave the premises of the school.
