"If you want to know about anything beyond that, you first have to become strong enough because even I have never seen anyone stronger than your parents."
It took Al'ravee a moment to understand what Ris had just said. When he asked how strong gods could possibly get, he was doing so from the perspective of a mortal. He wasn't expecting there to be an actual power ranking and one that seemed a bit short at that.
"it doesn't seem like a hassle to reach the level of my parents," Al'ravee said skeptically.
Ris turned his head away from the sky to look at the hundred-year-old man in shock like he had just seen an alien for the first time. " pfft... no... Hahaha... you did not just say... hahahahaaaaaaaa..." Ris continued laughing in a way that seemed forced yet genuine enough that Al'ravee could see tears in his sky-blue eyes.
Al'ravee couldn't help but feel that what he said was very embarrassing even if he didn't know why. From how this familiar yet unfamiliar Ris was reacting, what he said just now must be very outrageous.
Before Al'ravee could say anything else, Ris's face suddenly turned stern as he spoke in a deep voice. "Al'ravee, I am what you may call an average god, an entity comparable to multiple nukes on a bad day. Do you know how long it took me to reach my current level?"
Al'ravee shook his head, secretly hoping that Ris wouldn't tell him something too shocking.
"If we use Standard Humanity Adapted Time, then I would be five thousand, two-hundred and fifty-three years old this year," Ris said.
"..."
Al'ravee stared at him as if still waiting for Ris to tell him the truth. When he noticed the seriousness with which Ris was looking at him, he knew that he definitely wasn't lying.
"Wait, for real?" He asked, surprised. If what Ris said was valid, then that would mean it took him more than five millennia to grow to fifty concepts.
"Of course, did you think that you would just become almighty in a few days? Everything has a due process but don't worry, everyone has their time. The shortest I ever heard was two hundred years to become a world god." Ris responded, waiting for more questions.
Al'ravee wanted to ask more about it but he had a feeling that Ris was not going to entertain it so he had just one more question to ask after deliberating on his current circumstances.
"If I combine the info from my memories and the things you just told me, I can answer some of the questions on my own... But... You said this was all planned by my parents.
The things they said to me back then after altering my memories, weren't out of carelessness, no, they knew I would eventually get my original memories so it was more like a message for later.
But I still don't know what they planned for me."
Ris contemplated on what to tell Al'ravee. "Maybe I do, maybe I don't." He smiled and said.
Al'ravee frowned at this, he didn't like the fact that Ris was hiding some things intentionally. Still, under the influence of the calming touch, he asked. "So what do I do now?"
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Ris shrugged his shoulder. "I don't know, you're immortal, your parents have put safety measures on you, you can do anything you want. The concept of concept energy will come naturally, just wait."
Al'ravee and Ris continued chatting for a few more minutes, confirming his guesses on the existence of aliens and other meaningless but shocking information that Ris was willing to give.
"I guess this is goodbye for now. I've got followers to look out for. See you later Alravee, oh, and remember to not give out your true name unless you want Krene to give you a good spanking." Ris said as he stood up and began walking forward on the road, ignoring the passing cars.
Al'ravee was about to ask Ris where he was going but held his tongue in fright as he saw Ris suddenly being bathed in a shower of bright blue lightning before shooting off into the sky at incomprehensible speed and leaving the atmosphere of planet green cloud in a flash.
The cars on the road had come to a screeching stop from the sudden flash of lightning.
The mirror also disappeared along with Ris’s departure.
Al'ravee wasn't paying attention to the commotion on the road and even if he wanted to, he couldn't. What he was currently feeling could hardly be described in words.
As soon as Ris left, Al'ravee could feel the suppression of his emotions give way like a broken dam wall.
Imagine if you were about to cry but instead of comforting you, someone did something akin to pressing 'pause' on the cause of your sadness. That meant that if someone pressed 'play' then you would start crying again.
That is how Al'ravee was feeling right then, except that he wasn't feeling only sadness, but also anger, hatred, fear, anxiety, happiness, and love... All of these emotions multiplied ten times the norms.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaargh... Huff... Aaaaaaaaaaaaaagh .... Huff... Aaaaaaaaaaaargh..." He let out a cry like a madman, causing the people who were still standing on the road to look at him strangely. They were all surprised to see a man dressed in ceremonial attire for dead people shouting while gripping the side of the bench he was sitting on.
He looked like he was experiencing the worst pain of his life.
Some people came over to ask him what was happening but Al'ravee could not handle it anymore and started crying while also laughing at the sky.
The people surrounding him had no reason to get involved too much in this man's craziness so they all left one by one to proceed with their lives.
...
After shouting for over an hour, Al'ravee calmed down and regained the ability to think properly.
'It's just a chemical reaction.' He told himself, referring to the emotions coming from his brain.
He took off the top outer clothing of the suit he was wearing and left only the inner shirt and trousers. This was to prevent attracting too much attention to himself.
Asking around from passersby, he quickly got to know his current location and headed in the direction pointed out for him to the city.
As he walked there, he gradually came to terms with his current situation and realized something.
There were a lot of things he could do now that he had enough time, but first, he wanted to find his children to see how they were doing. He couldn't just pop up and say that he never died, that would just cause unnecessary drama which he was not ready for.
Now, he could finally learn all the things he thought he couldn't.
He could try to study medicine and become a doctor, become a top scientist, become a billionaire, join the army, travel around the world without a care in the world, learn martial arts from the best teachers in the world, become a criminal, become a hero, and finally rule the world. The possibility of becoming a powerful god was also exciting.
"*sigh* So much vanity." Al'ravee ridiculed himself as he walked to the city, he had no money on him so he had to trek the distance. One of the perks of having a body like his was that he could recover his stamina just from being slightly relaxed. Even when hungry, he did not need to worry cause there was almost no way he could starve to death.
"First, let's see how my daughter is doing." He said to himself. Another reason why he wanted to see them first was that he knew that he definitely would not be able to see them again in the future. He might not even feel anything towards his descendants after.
After checking on them, he will go on to fulfill his bucket list.
