Act 2: Beginning of a Journey; chapter 1: The Mag Lola

A few hours before the calamitous fight of Lolo Gani against Busau and its minions, in one corner of the Spiritual Realm, an old man and a woman who appears to be middle-aged were busy extracting the life essences of the six scourges of the Earth.

“Hmm?!” A surprised sound came out of Sitan, he suddenly looked up at the sky.

“What is it? Did something happen?” Sidapa, who was with Sitan at that moment, asked.

“I felt one of the booklets reacting.” Sitan answered.

“Reacting? Where?” Sidapa grew more curious.

“Above. I felt its presence in the Upperworld.” Answered Sitan, a hint of confusion was apparent on his face.

“Above? How can it be there? I thought that it was in the Mortal realm.” Sidapa has also become confused. Not too long ago, Sitan told them that all the three booklets are in the world of men; however, Sitan told her that the book is in the Spiritual Realm.

“I’m not sure either, but it is clear that someone or somebody is using the booklet, but this time.” Answering Sidapa’s question, a frown appeared on Sitan’s face. He too, could not figure out how the booklet ended up in the Upperworld, he could only speculate about why its presence was detected in the Upperworld. Little did he know that when Lumawig entered the Spiritual Realm, the booklet also came with him.

Even Lumawig did not know that the librito was with him when he went to the Spiritual Realm. It was the one that protected him from being consumed by the spirits, and it was the one that made him and his abyan travel for such a long time in the Spiritual Realm. As for why it happened, no one knows.

“Regardless of the reason why it is here, I still cannot do anything…at least for now. So, I will let whoever is using that booklet live for a few more years. Also, it seems that Busau is going wild in the Mortal realm.” Added Sitan.

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

“As expected of a wild deity. It only knows how to follow its instinct.” A disdainful smile appeared on Sidapa’s lips, and her eyes flashed a coldness that would make any person turn pale should they make the mistake of looking into her eyes. Apparently, Sidapa disdains Busau for its wild and uncontrolled behavior.

“But that also works in our favor. Whatever that wild thing is doing out there, we are also regaining more of our powers faster. This tedious work of extracting the life essences from these lower deities will be completed in a much shorter time.” Sitan said, a hint of expectation and excitement is evident in his eyes.

“Hmm.” Affirmed Sidapa. “It appears that you really are correct. Even that D’Wata, with all his power did not come down and turned this place upside-down. Their powers have fallen. They are nothing but a shadow of their past selves.” Sharpness appeared in Sidapa’s eyes, and though she tried to hide it, a hint of anger was also evident in her voice.

“I do not know what you are planning, but since it looks like we have the same goal for now, I will not mind whatever grudge you have against those who are in the Upperworld.” Without looking at Sidapa, Sitan told her of his agreement with whatever she was planning.

**********

It was already early in the morning when Lumawig was transported to an unknown area. This area is covered with thick vegetation and trees. Apparently, Lumawig was transported into another forest. The first rays of sunlight have now broken the darkness that covered the sky, and the merry chirping of the birds can already be heard. However, Lumawig still remained unconscious. It appears that the forceful usage of his abyan has severely exhausted his mental and physical strength; this is no surprise however, as he has not yet trained and nurtured his soul and abyan that long. As for the extent of the damage he received, not even him will be able to tell.

While Lumawig was unconscious, footsteps can be heard walking towards his location. In just a few breaths, a silhouette appeared a couple of meters from where he was lying. Within a few more seconds, a figure can be seen emerging from the bushes. It was a young girl, around seven years old. She has a slightly plump body. Her hair is curly, and she has a caramel complexion. Her big round eyes have dark brown pupils, decorated with long eyelashes, and thin eyebrows. Her nose is small and soft but is a little flat. Pinkish lips beautifully compliment her caramel complexion, though it seems that she does not have a complete set of teeth yet. Nevertheless, the young girl does not seem to care, and she looks quite cheerful. She is wearing a faded pink t-shirt with a smiling panda in front, and knee-length faded grey pants, though she was not wearing any footwear.
