“Sleepy Hollow!” a familiar voice yet annoying voice shouted at me from what seemed like across the world.
I opened my eyes and there he was, Will, walking toward me as condescending as usual. To make sure you don’t forget he’s an army nut, he wears his white and red Nationalistic fanboy uniform everywhere he goes, always has since high school.
“We’re going to be late for Orientation.” He said while trying to drag me to my feet.
“We still have thirty minutes until it starts,” I told him as I checked my watch.
“If you’re not early, you’re late!” He said proudly as if he had just made up an entirely new saying.
“Why are you even here? I thought you were going to enlist in the military.” I asked, not really caring.
“I have! But they told me it would be still a great idea for me to attend and complete college so that I'll be able to live comfortably once I retire from service.” He responded.
Finally giving in, I got to my feet, threw my bag over my shoulder, and walked with him to class. Before we got there, I looked around still amazed at all the people that were attending this school along with us starting in the Fall.

“We need to hurry!” Will shouted even though we still had ten minutes to spare.
“I know I know already,” I responded just to get him to shut up.
The closer we got, the more the human traffic started going in one direction. Inside a huge white dome with windows that seemed to wrap around it forever. Before we went inside, Will decided to stop suddenly as if he were in a trance.
“Look over there!” Will shouted, pointing in the direction he was talking about.
There it was a huge gray robot with an intimidating rifle on its back. Part of me wanted to question why it was near the school, but the other part of me just wanted to get away from it before anything happened. So I started to nudge Will to get inside of the dome threatening to leave him behind, but he wouldn’t budge.
“Come on Will! I thought you wanted to be on time!” I shouted at him thinking it would get him to leave.
“Hollow look at it! We don’t get to see these miraculous machines every day. It’s beautiful… and soon I’ll be piloting one.” He said.
“I don’t even see why you would want to pilot one of those things. They’re tools meant to kill people.” I retorted.
“They aren’t tools to kill people. They’re meant to protect us!” Will quickly responded.
“Fine whatever” I responded just wanting this conversation to end.
Once the walking murder weapon jetted off elsewhere, Will was finally broken from his trance and we just barely made it on time. We pushed our way through the hundreds of other students that had gotten there before us and quietly waited for the ceremony to begin.
