Altara's consciousness snapped back to reality, but that reality was not that of Adepta. He got up off the floor slowly, looking around. He realized he stood in a plain of white. The sky, floor, and horizon being nothing but that same color. It was almost blinding.
"Oi, kid."
A low and strict voice spoke out from behind Altara, who quickly turned in surprise.
Altara saw a man who was barely taller than himself. He looked to be middle-aged, his blue eyes locked onto Altara. He had rough black hair that went down to just past his shoulders. He had two cuts in the shape of an X on his right cheek across his slightly wrinkly skin. His attire was that of a military officer, being black and pristine with red epaulets on his shoulders. He also had a black cape hitched onto his shoulders which stretched down to the floor. He was also wearing black leather gloves.
"You wouldn't recognize me. It's been 12 years since I dropped you off at that orphanage with your wolven mother, Altara." The man spoke out, slowly walking to Altara. His cape flowing behind him. He soon came face to face with Altara.
"H-Huh?" Altara stood back slightly, raising his eyebrows. "Who are you??"
"I'm your dad, dumbass. Arkara Dogma."
"D-Dad?"
...
Altara took a moment to process this, looking at the floor and talking out loud, squinting. "I was struck in the chest by that..mutant of a woman..after that everything went black. Then I woke up here..am I-"
"You're dead, yes. But only temporarily. Your friends are resurrecting you at this very moment."
"What do you mean?"
"Your hand is fading away, look."
Altara looked down at his left hand, noticing it was distorting like that of an out of signal television.
"Alright, listen up kid." Arkara lifted his son's chin up slightly, looking into his eyes and letting go. "You're collecting the Braveyes one by one, aren't you? Ever since you killed your uncle half a year ago. I have been watching your every move since. Do you wish to collect them all for your own sake? It is thanks to the Braveyes that the Inhuman Empire drew victory in the Supreme War almost 57 years ago..thanks to me who killed hundreds of men on the frontlines. It is a power that shouldn't be fucked around with, kid."
Altara looked at his father, frowning slightly. "As the only living Dogma left, I have to collect the Braveyes and restore order to the country of Wrathak...for that is my duty as a Dogma."
"Oh?" Arkara folded his arms, raising his brow. "Then what is with the fuss? Why didn't you just kill the mutant with the Emperor Braveye that you acquired during your fight with Nero and then kill the man holding the last Braveye? He is with her, yes? Kruger is his name..he holds the Centurion Braveye."
"Because..." Altara kept silent for a moment, looking at the floor before looking up and speaking again. "I found your journal, father."
Arkara's eyes widened before forming into a frown, grabbing his son's shoulders. "You.."
Altara looked into his father's eyes, he didn't show any sign of fear or regret. His father grimaced, "So that's why you visited Wrathak a week after you came back from it half a year ago..you went there to get answers.." He then let go of his son, facing away from him and talking. "Hm, I don't blame you. You killed Nero moments after he told you shared his blood...but why do you want that?"
"Because as it stands Wrathak is in a state of civil war. Soon the Homstalan Military will step in and attempt to restore order. Our family, the Dogmas, have ruled that country for centuries. I will not let it go to waste. Father, ever since you left me at that orphanage I have always been pathless, confused..but now I understand. It is my responsibility. For the first time in my life, I truly know my purpose."
"He who possesses all the Braveyes shall acquire a form capable of killing thousands so as long as he lets the eyes rest a heavy amount of time beforehand. That is what you wrote in your journal, alongside the profiles of all the Braveyes, I recognized them thanks to my clash with the Kalamitus members..and Nero. Nero was too much of a fool to realize this, he thought Emperor was strong enough to achieve his goals. That is why I refuse to use the Braveyes that I currently have."

"Hm. You only won against Nero because you realized your true self and your Braveye awakened. Originally..you were meant to be the Emperor after me. Seems Nero had better ideas though." Arkara turned to his son once more, his blue eyes locking onto his son.
"You're a quiet one, Son. But deep down...you're dangerous. Your plan is one of loyalty and I am glad you know your purpose. But no matter what the hell happens I want you to know that I'm watching you! I've never really been patriotic, even though I was once Emperor. However, I believe that no matter what you must do what you think is best. And if that is what you think is the best path then you must take it! Even if you must kill you will soon achieve satisfaction. Rule, Altara. Not for me, but for yourself...as that is your true purpose..even if you wish to acquire the form I used to kill hundreds in the Supreme War to help you in that mission."
Altara looked at his father, giving a weak nod before looking down at his body which was now distorted up to his neck, he looked up at his father once more who spoke.
"That Hugo guy...I like him. Keep him safe, you hear? He's a valuable teacher and friend. I will tell your mother, Shinra, that we met here..I will see you soon, son."
Arkara and Altara exchanged a smile, before the old emperor started to walk away, his black cape flowing behind him.
"But before I do that, father...I have new enemies to eradicate. See you soon.."
...
BOOM!
A booming sound rang out as Altara opened his eyes, gravity magik flowing out from his body causing Hugo, Konstantine, and Jolene to fall back a few meters.
"God!" Jolene coughed out as she slowly stood up, Konstantine crawled swiftly to Altara as did Hugo, the three looking over him as he coughed blood to his side on the fallen tree he lied on. His body was back to normal, his clothes were ripped in places thanks to the bones that once stuck out. Altara slowly sat up, Konstantine placing a hand on his back as he did. "Altara.."
Altara held his head, squinting before looking up at Hugo, placing his hand in his lap. "You guys.."
"Thank the gods.." Hugo mumbled as he kneeled in front of Altara, giving him a weak smile. "You are both the unluckiest and luckiest guy I know, Alt..."
Jolene, who stood behind Hugo, coughed blood. "Urgh..strain..if it weren't for Hugo's assistance I would have died no doubt." Hugo turned to Jolene. "Go back to the tower and rest, Jolene. You deserve it."
Jolene nodded and started to walk away from the three, Altara then called out to her. "Jolene!" She turned to him, "Thank you." Jolene nodded and smiled, before starting to walk once more.
Altara looked at Konstantine, giving her a slight smile.
"You dumbass..." Konstantine's eyes filled with tears once more as she hugged Altara, who slowly hugged back whilst looking up at Hugo. His eyes then widened. "H-Hugo..What about the grave?!" Altara panicked but was soon silenced by Hugo. "I fear it's too late, Altara. Whatever they wanted with Kry..well.."
Altara quickly stood up, gently pulling Konstantine up with him who stood beside him. "We're going to find those terrorists then. Defiling his corpse like that.."
Hugo paused for a moment, before looking at Altara. "That mutation..it took one punch to kill you, Altara. If it wasn't for Jolene then that would have been it for you. As much as I agree with you it would be suicide to go after them again."
Altara looked down for a moment, the wind rushing through the forest they resided in. He then looked below him at his dry blood on the ground and the fallen tree he lied on. "Then we train our magik."
Altara looked up at Hugo and Konstantine, who looked back at him. "I want the truth behind their motivations..and that woman. I will never forget her face."
"Purple hair, sharp eyes..huge black and purple armor...I won't forget it either." Hugo looked at Konstantine. "And you? Will you join us, Konstantine?" Hugo asked.
Konstantine looked at the floor. "I was originally going to go back to hunting my parents, but..this is more important than that. Those two can wait..."
Altara looked at Hugo. "So you're in?"
Hugo gave a low chuckle, before gently punching Altara's shoulder. "Of course I am! I ain't about to sit idle and let that mutant and her terrorists mess with Kry. They're gonna pay, Alt..." Hugo frowned at the thought of them defiling Kry's grave. "Even if I want to rush right back in..I don't wish to die."
Altara nodded and looked at his two friends. "We're gonna make them pay.."
The three started to walk back to the Tower of Magik, a heavy amount of training and rebuilding of the Tower of Magik ahead of them.
