The sound of birds rang out on a silent rooftop garden as they sat upon the branches of the red oak trees which were in a circle around a small, circular table placed on a marble floor which stretched out in all directions, giving way for the trees via holes around the stumps.

Sat at the table in a black metal chair was a man in a jet black naval officer's coat which had crimson epaulettes mounted on the shoulders of it, on top of the epaulettes were black stars. The man himself was rather old, having wrinkles everywhere. He had a messy red beard that was connected to a just as messy mustache. The beard ran down to the middle of his chest. His hair was rather thin and most of it had been lost with age, it shared the same color as his beard. He looked up at the leaves with his red eyes which were surrounded by his horizontal wolven mark across both eyes at one of the red oaks and soon coughed, leaning forward to pick up a white teacup from the table before placing his chapped lips on it, taking a sip.

A set of footsteps came up the marble path to the circular area where the old man was sitting, he looked up and saw a wolven man donning a dark purple naval jacket, having epaulettes on each much like the old man's. The man had dark blonde hair styled in curtains, he had bright blue eyes and a face of someone who is used to his current situation; calm and collected. He stood at a good 6'2 and looked to be around his late twenties or early thirties.

He walked to the side of the old man and bowed, putting his forearm across his stomach and bending his back forward in a 30-degree angle before standing straight again.

"How are you this evening, my lordship?"

He asked, his voice was calm and almost relaxing. He stood straight as he awaited an answer, the old man putting his cup down before responding.

"I am fine. Looking at these red trees as they glow in the late sunlight."

His voice was crooked and slightly raspy, he stared at the red trees.

"Glowing, my lordship?"

The blonde man asked as he looked up at the same tree.

"Yes, glowing...a lot like the blazing fire in the loyal people of Wrathak's hearts to restore simplicity and order to this divided world." He looked at his empty cup, before looking at the blonde man.

"I want more tea, but I will not drink it here."

The old man stated as he slowly started to stand up, grabbing a metal walking stick which was leaning against the table he was sitting at. The blonde man nodded slowly. "Of course, my lordship."

The two started to slowly walk out of the circular orchard, the old man hunched over as he walked. The blonde-haired man, however, let the old man walk in front of him by a few inches.

"Has there been any news from that Kalamitus member of ours?" The old man asked as they walked through a marble path with red oak trees still lining the outside.

The author's tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

"No, sir. We suspect that he has been captured by the escapees he was pursuing."

"There were only three of them, yes? That should have been enough for him thanks to his Centurion Braveye."

"Hmm, maybe Kaptain Lurk overestimated his skill of the Braveye. He might be loyal, but that is his only positive when it comes to battle, it seems."

"Hm...at what location did he lose contact with us?"

"Zone 9, my lordship."

"Zone 9...hmm."

The old man frowned slightly, looking down as he kept walking.

"By now they must have gotten information out of him...information about the girl. How many members of the resistance group are remaining? The one that originated from Zone 9."

"Four my lordship, although one has had no reported sightings for a while now."

"So he must have fought, what, six? Even then his Centurion would've taken care of them. He could have had finished off The Unchained Justice..."

The old man's frown grew stronger.

"My lordship, might I suggest a course of action?"

The old man glanced up at the other, nodding weakly.

"We wait for them to make a move. We can only presume they have forced the information out of Agent Kodan and will make their desperate move for the girl. We simply....let them..."

"Let them?"

"Yes...wait until they think they've completed their objective. That is however...if they proceed. We initially put them up to a test of some sorts with normal infiltration response procedures to avoid suspicion of our plan. But as soon as they get near the girl we drawback..and meet them at the Zone 16 River, the one that runs out from under the prison, the river that is used to dispose of bodily ashes and is cut off to the general public. From there...Eradicate."

"And why exactly would we go through all of this? Why not just stop them there and there?"

"To set an example, my lordship. Crime rates have risen by 33% in the past five months. The first time we have had such an increase in years. And think about how many scum we will get rid of, Black Morrow Prison is the prison of death, they are all lined up for death in some shape or form. Those with rebellious thoughts outside of the prison will be struck in the heart with cancellation."

The old man remained silent as he thought, speaking soon after.

"I see. We can only presume that they will not only free the girl but the other prisoners. Executing them all at once will be...yes..."

The old man looked up at the blonde man.

"Fear is a beautiful thing, isn't it?"

"Yes, my lordship. It is."

The two kept walking down the path...

"General Trench, will you do me a favour?"

The blonde man looked at the old man as they walked. "No need to ask my lordship. Just point me like your blade."

"Tell me if we get in contact with Agent Kodan immediately."

The two soon met with large helicopter pad which had a small brown helicopter on top of it. The old man got onto the helicopter with a slight grunt and sat down, looking down at Trench who bowed. "Yes, my emperor."

The old man closed his eyes and nodded, opening them again as he spoke once more.

"The girl's blood means everything, the blood of a dire....purity.....immortality. We may live to be around 160 years old..but we will surpass that and become something more."

He looked straight ahead.

"I, Emperor Nero, will achieve immortality."

The helicopter started up and soon flew away, Trench looked out into the city of Skarka and stared at the huge walls which surrounded the city.

"These walls will be expanded...to infinity."
