Omake 48: Dio meets the Jojos (Josuke)
Jotaro Kujo expected this guy, Josuke, to be someone like him.
While he wasn’t exactly donning punk’s clothes, the tough Stand User knew enough to recognize someone that, deep down, knew how to throw a mean punch. That became even more evident when the younger version of his own grandfather got in a scuffle with the newcomer. There was no reason for Jotaro to move in, and the enraged young man had good reasons to be annoyed.
After all, Joseph had been up to his face asking him questions that were incredibly upsetting due to the topic. The ‘young grandfather’ just couldn’t stomach having gone out of his way and slept with someone else if he had been married. And while he sure had that American sense of adventure, everyone could see that some aspects of British morality were taught to him by old man Speedwagon.
So, he was quite surprised when the fellow Japanese teen just became familiar with someone like Dio. Especially considering how posh and formal this other version of the vampire was. All because of a single subject within that conversation which worked with the young man’s attitude.
“It’s just quite wicked. I would say that it would draw some awe at you back home,” He praised as they both were engaging in a conversation over that odd pompadour.
“I know, I was told that Westerners might find it quite exotic,” Josuke hummed in delight. “Still, it’s not that easy to get right at first try.”
“I can tell. I hope it’s never that tedious.”
It has to be. Jotaro was no hair-stylist, but he had to cringe before that odd hairstyle. How could anyone want to pull that one off? It wasn’t even a matter of aesthetics, it just felt so cumbersome and unimportant. There was some sort of important story behind it, the hat-wearing young man just deciding to ignore it as he tried to reason why anyone would subject themselves to this, but he just couldn’t imagine.
“Not like the first time,” The highschooler admitted. “Mom was the one that helped me the first few times and… granddad would always be annoyed because I look like a thug.”
“Well, it’s not exactly a style one would find on an upstanding gentleman, however it’s rude for people to judge by appearance alone,” Dio pointed out, looking at Jonathan as he was studying the hairdo himself. “What do you think?”
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
“It’s indeed unique. You said you used a special ‘hair gel’ to keep it together?”
“At first I did, then I started to use other hair products to get it like this without having to ruin the hair in the process,” Josuke replied happily, clearly enjoying the conversation
The trio was just engrossed on the topic, with Jotaro sitting away and watching the interaction like a hawk would for any threat. He just couldn’t help but feel that this Dio was much stronger and more dangerous than the arrogant vampire, and that, while his behavior was nicer, he was also more prone to pragmatic and cunning approaches which could be dangerous to deal with.
Plus, it didn’t help the fact that Josuke was actually his uncle by relation and that he was supposedly younger than he was. Just upsetting, and another reason why Jotaro saw no reason to free Joseph from his current ‘prison of treachery’ as Dio had called it. The vines looked quite strong. Strong enough to keep the dumbass old man from ruining it for his grandmother and mom. One can only wonder what had been Holly’s reaction to learn that she had a half-brother through Joseph’s cheating.
As the group continued to enjoy that bizarre imprisonment they were stuck with, their current debate was brought to an end when something in the room shifted. It felt sudden, way more intense than before and… instead of one, there were two figures that appeared in a blink of an eye. Jotaro tensed up, and the duo soon uttered a single word at once.
“Father.”
Two similar voices said at the same time, and they all turned to see that there were two blond men staring back at Dio. One looked buffer, taller and older, his gaze exuding a form of surprise and yet relief. The other looked a bit younger and with a unique hairstyle. Plus, his flamboyant light-pink/purple outfit looked quite rad compared to the simpler design adopted by the other counterpart.
Dio’s jaw dropped at the sight.
“T-Two Giornos?!”
The familiarity doubled within that response. He knew their names and… it was the same. Two counterparts at once? Sons? Two versions- maybe one was… wait, one was definitely this Dio’s child so, who was the other one. Eyes narrowed at the youngest of the two, and Jotaro perceived something ominously strong coming from the blond teen. Still, Why them and not anyone else? What was going on? Still, the news should have put the non-vampiric bastard on the edge and… it didn’t.
Rather than be shocked by the news, he instead walked towards them and then pulled them in a joyful hug. It felt so absurd and yet fitting considering the personality of this Dio compared to the abrasive bastard he had killed with his own hands. Still, as the group grew, it was becoming clear that they were going to get visits and visits with people from ‘future’ adventures against either a plan against Dio, or general threats to the world.
Good grief, this is just getting worse by the second…
