Okay, now that this is done I better pack up my things and... go back in the cave. Yeah, I don't really think it's a good idea to go around the forest when just a... well, more or less normal Rabbit almost killed me. I just hope the smell of blood wont attract any predators, but theres not much I can do.
I gather a couple more sticks, some pieces of bark and I go back into the cave to prepare a fire. Fortunately I won't have to use the boy scouts teachings, because I forgot to take out of the pocket my kitchen lighter when I cooked dinner.
So, while the fire starts to work up I somehow manage to skin the rabbit (not without creating a bloody mess all around) and put it to cook. After it is done I eat it, and... well... it's not so- bad. Yeah... but, it's not like I have anything else, so I eat it to the bones.
Well, at least I won't have problems with thirst, as just out of the cave there is a really small river and the water seemed pretty clean. We will probably see in a couple hours anyway...
Good, now that those things are out of the way I have to try it out. And you know what I mean. Yes, exactly: Magic!
First of all I'm going to try out the Earth one, because the other two seems much more difficult. Though I'm really interested in Soul magic... Well, let's think it one at a time.
First of all I have to understand how to use it. I can guess three ways: number one, use some kind of chant. Number two, use magic circles. Number three, feel the mana around you and use it, even though I don't know if there is really mana...
And, well, out of these three the only one I can use is the last one, because I know nothing about the chants or magic cirles. So, I prepare a rock in front of me and sit down in a meditation pose, concentrating on the rock before me.
After ten good minutes nothing happened, so I changed my approach. I started focusing in the air around me, searching for something. Then, I started feeling something flowing over me, around the cave, in every single rock. It was magic. Or mana. Well, whatever, I tried to grasp with my mind how to control it, making it concentrate where the rock was.
Then, it moved. At first really slowly, but in a couple minutes I had full control over it, I could move it, throw it from one side of the cave to the other, even shape it to my will.

You gain more control over the Earth element.
After excercising for a couple more minutes I put down the rock and start exercising with my surrondings, trying to polish the walls, ceiling and floor, and then I dig a hole to bury the remains of the rabbit I eated before.

You gain more control over the Earth element.
I also wanted to try a few more things, but when I tried to create a couple furnitures I couldn't even raise the rock I exercised with before.
Without panicking I focused on the air around me. As expected the mana was much less dense than before, and it probably wouldn't be a good idea to force it.
Also, I could see that the light coming from the entrance was slowly fading away, so I closed the entrance with Earth magic, using the mana coming from outside, leaving a couple holes so that air could come in.
Three day passed from when I was summoned here. Everyday in the morning I used the mana inside the ccave that regenerated over the night to create furniture to ease my life, like a couple chairs, a dining table, a bed frame which I covered with Horned Rabbit fur and other things.
After the morning training in the cave I went outside, exploring a bit the surrondings and laying a couple traps, like snare traps and pit fall traps I digged out with Earth magic. They went pretty well, seems like there are a lot of Horned Rabbit around here, probably because of the river. I also discovered that even if I don't kill things directly I gain experience anyway. Freacking notification gave me an heart attack while I was sleeping.
Anyway, after all the training, hunting and stuff I gained a few levels and even a couple skills!

I also created a lower level in the cave to store meat in a cold place, so that for the next few days I can focus on Dark and Soul magic.
Author's here! So, did you enjoy the first two chapters? Do you find them to be too short?
You will probably get another one on this Friday, as I am free on Thuesday and Friday.
Also, I don't quite like the "Apprentice Spearman" skill name, does someone have some suggestions?
That's all, see you next time!
P.S.: While submitting this chapter I clicked on "Edit Fiction" and then "Cancel" to go back. Almost had an heart attack 'cause I didn't see the fiction. Yep.
