=============================================================================================================
I was already running towards the girlish screaming that came from two people rushing towards my group's location. I brandished my sword and with a flourish I slashed my sword in an arc towards the first gnome that failed to stop in time and threw my iron dagger towards the gnome who rode the wolf, before the gnome fell from the wolf it rode I was already slashing on the fourth and fifth gnomes that were behind the wolf.
It was an exhilarating experience tackling two to three enemies at the same time. Even though I was out leveled and outmatched, because of my training it was still manageable. I drove my knee to the wolf’s muzzle just before he took a chunk of my legs and stab its eye with the blood elf knife that glowed a reddish aura sucking on the flowing blood from the wound on the wolf’s eye. I took a few slashes from the goblins that were at my back but I activated my Blood manipulation aura to keep the damage on a minimum.
Sensing the danger, the two gnomes started backing away but I used my manipulation aura and formed the blood that was gushing from the wolf into needles and sent them rocketing towards the legs of the gnomes disabling them. I then made short work on the gnomes by slicing both their throats and absorbed enough blood to restore my HP. After the battle I noticed a faint red glow emanating from the elfish dagger on my left hand and it was pulsating, I examined it and noticed that the blood were pooling to the ruby in the center of the knife, it was astonishing and I tried experimenting with the bodies of the monsters, I turned my blood manipulation skill on ad focused on the pools of blood on my feet, I envisioned the blood crawling up my feet moving up to my left hand and getting absorbed by the blade.
It had an astonishing effect, it took all the blood I manipulated and sucked it in! I was greeted with a system message after the knife absorbed all the blood completely.

I was stunned; I had just discovered that my knife was a unique weapon that upgrades like me! It was one of those one in a million weapons that could be with you till the end game saving me a lot of gold from buying items!
I quickly stored my weapons and collected the loot and went back to my friends who were helping the two lads who were still crying when I reached them.
“Thank you sir! We would have died if you did not help us at all! Our party got wiped out while trying to clear the first level; we were just porters and cooks for the raid party. We appreciate your help and would like to ask to accompany you inside.” The guy wearing tattered clothes was explaining their encounter with the boss monster of the first level and how they barely escaped by dropping all the loot and ran outside.
I was thinking of taking them with us to get the loot they left behind so I made an agreement for them after I talked it over with Rex and Lilith.
“We will take both of you if you agree to some things that we think are appropriate for this arrangement. First is that you will do everything we say when we are inside to reduce the likelihood of losing your lives and ours, second we would like to have the loot you had dropped near the boss of the level on the condition that we defeat him as vengeance for your raiding party. In exchange you will both share a certain experience of kills and training to be fine warriors till we clear the dungeon, do we have a deal?” I took this opportunity to look at what they were wearing more closely and not surprisingly saw starter gear and wooden swords on their hips, I rolled my eyes on taking this kind of deadweight on a raid.
I bet they thought they could earn a few gold and leech on their raid party, guess they chose the wrong group.
“My name is Rico and this guy here is Mel, we are both level 10 warriors that are slightly lacking in training, we would happily agree to your terms and are pleased to join your party.” Rico was in a jolly mood, to have found a party that can take them inside until the 4th level and train them.
“By the way, what are your names and levels?” Mel was directing his question to the beautiful Lilith with hearts in his eyes.
“My name is Lilith, Level 72 Wizard, this is Rex a 23 Warrior and your savior is Gilgamesh, level 5 no class……” Lilith dragged the last part to let the fact that a guy who had half their level saved them.
Rico paled from what they heard, he could not believe that a level 5 nobody killed several gnomes with his level and outshined some people who needed a group to kill one gnome on the field. It seemed unrealistic at the best but they were looking at the face of that evidence.

“We are wasting time here talking, let’s go and help clear the first floor. Rico and Mel you guys should always stay behind me, that way you’ll be out of harm’s way.” Gilgamesh was informing the group of his tactical plan when Lilith interjected.
“Sorry Gil, I think its best you clear the first floor with only Rico and Mel, they need to practice how to fight and I would only suck all the experience since I’m higher leveled.” Lilith said reluctantly.
“I’m with Lilith on this one man, you guys need all the experience you can get, we’ll camp out near the entrance and help people out who are in a bind, you go teach those pups a lesson on how to hold a sword properly.” Rex was sizing up the two warriors who looks to him like they won’t last long if they won’t get their act together, especially using only wooden swords, meaning they haven’t finished the basic training.
They all went near the cave and swept the mobs on the way to collect extra loot and score a few levels while they’re at it. Once they reached the mouth of the cave they stopped to rest and took stock of their surroundings, there were a few fights here and there but all looked like they could handle their battles. They sat and took their lunch which was prepared by Rico while Gilgamesh collected all the equipment.
“Guys, give me all your weapons and armor, I’ll repair the durability and sharpen the weapons.” He then took the items and began to work. After a while the surrounding players saw what he was doing and came nearer.
“Sir, could you please fix my sword? I don’t want to go back to Morata and get it repaired; I’ll pay you twice the normal price!” Said a guy who took his sword out and shoved it to Gilgamesh’s face and beamed.
Thinking it wasn’t a big deal and could help out the fellow he set to work and finished it in no time. The guy paid him 80 silvers and went to hunt more; soon the spectators came closer and asked their weapons to get fixed.
Seeing as there was no way out from the crowd Gilgamesh went to work with a sigh and had his work cut out for him.
Lilith observed everything that was happening without comment, thinking it was a good change to practice her identification skill as well as earning a few coppers; she then addressed the crowd with a slightly louder voice that she uses.
“You lot, if you have items you want identified or some basic potions you want to buy come to me and let’s do business, don’t be shy and come closer.” She was smiling while reeling the customers to her.
“Well since you both are going to be preoccupied for a few hours I’ll go kill some gnomes riders with the two sissies and teach them a few lessons, c’mon you lot!” Rex dragged both Rico and Mel into the bowels of the cave.
It took a few hours of constant working but finally Gilgamesh and Lilith were done. Lilith earned about 2gold and 80 silvers from identifying items, and about 15 gold coins from potions while leveling her identification to intermediate level 4. Gilgamesh had earned approximately 30 gold from repairing and sharpening items and had a few increases in the blacksmith skills as well as a levels in handicraft.

“Phew! That was crazy, so many things to fix for hours, glad it paid off, now I got more skills!” Gilgamesh smiled for the skill increase as well as gold. He saw that Rico and Mel were following Rex back to the entrance and had a few bruises so he took a few herbs out and a few bandages and wrapped them up when they arrived. Since it was already late they decided to start tomorrow morning and camp outside the entrance.
Gilgamesh killed a few gnomes that were roaming that night to work up a sweat after their dinner and increased his level by 2 points and a few experience for his skill masteries.
