"Do you have a plan?" I asked.
He strokes his imaginary beard and then snaps his fingers. "Yeah, I have an idea."
"What is it?"
He picks up his pen and his mini notebook and shoves them in his back pocket. "Let's go."
We walked for fifteen minutes before we reached a creepy abandoned building. It's about 3 stories high and moss seems to have already invaded the majority of the building.
Leon walks towards the back and I followed him. I have a bad feeling about this place but he seems to be familiar with it. There is a rusted metal door in the side of the building.
Leon picks up a crowbar conveniently hidden behind a nearby box and pried the door open and then threw the tool to the side.
"He should be here around this time." Leon whispered.
The door opened to a staircase that lead to the basement. It was dark but let up with small flickering lights.
Leon put a finger to his lips to warn me of speaking as he took a careful step. His feet trim led as he tried to tip toe on the stairs.
He was suddenly at the bottom of the stairs on his stomach.
I'd stepped on his shoe lace and he stumbled to the end of the staircase.
He groans in pain as he stood up with a hand on his back. He runs his back as he bit his lips then he turns to look up at me with daggers shooting from his eyes.
I shrug my shoulders and descended the stairs. It's not my fault that Leon never ties his shoe laces. He's fallen a hundred times before and never listens to my advice about tying his laces. I mean even little kids know they should tie them even if they don't know how.
Leon slaps his back and rolled his shoulders maybe that eased the pain of the fall. He points down the hallway which was riddled with more flickering white lights. "His stuff are usually at the room at the end of the hallway but he may have ran away because of what you did."
I have no idea what he's talking about but whoever we're looking for seems to be someone that can help us track the next victim. I pull out my phone and turned on the flash light. "Let's go see."
We slowly push open the door. The creaking sound made us nervous so we just slammed the door open.
Someone was facing their computer completely immersed into the contents of the screen that they didn't seem to notice our presence. A disk to their side, filled with random stuff from books to phones to a bunch of USBs and strange devices.
"I caught you." Leon whispers and crosses his arms.
The women was wearing glasses that reflected the blue light of the screen which had a bunch of weird long codes. A beanie covered her head with blue headphones above. The faint sound of intense rock music played. It seems like even if we scream near her ears she wouldn't be able to hear us over the loud bass pounding on her eardrums. Mine would rupture if I were her.
Leon walks towards her and snaps his fingers in front of her eyes. "Hey you're here again Viola."
She blinks and slowly turns her head to face Leon who had a smirk on his face. She abruptly presses the shutdown button on the computer. She takes off her headphones and adjusts her beanie to cover her more of her forehead before she shoves her hands into her pockets.

Leon leans his back on the disk and crosses his arms, "You know detective Cain told me to keep an eye on you and to arrest you if you try to hack, wiretap or doing anything illegal again." He intoned.
"And I've stopped doing all that now I only fix phones and get rid of viruses for people."
Leon wags his finger left and right, "You know that's not true."
"It is."
"Even your body language is yelling 'I'm lying'. Your hands in your pockets and covering your forehead like you just did, they're signs of someone trying to deceive others."
She tittered, "That's some bullshit science." She snickered.
"I know you still do it. I send someone undercover. Let me get straight to the point. I'll ignore it if you do me a small favour and i'll continue ignoring it if you could help with more small favours in the future." Leon offered.
She was slack-jawed. A small smirk formed on her face. "So basically you want me to hack stuff?" Leon nods with a straight face and she laughs. "How ironic. A detective telling me to break the law." Leon begin tapping his feet impatiently and she took the hint. "As long as it's not hacking a governmental website I'm down." She appeased.
"Well I need you to find someone for me. I don't care what websites you hack or what not but I know you can do it."
She nods and leans back on her chair placing her hands behind her head, "What's his name?"
"Yeah about that, you're on your own. All I know is that this date is significant to him" he pulls a folded up paper from his front pocked and hands it to her. A copy of the code we solved. "He's an internet bully who drove two poor teens to commit suicide."
She unfolds the paper and nods as she inspected the contents. "Alright I'll do my best."
"We need his information and residence as soon as possible. He might be the next victim." I add and she gives me the up-down look. I doubt she was checking me out rather wondering since when I've been here.
"Okay we're waiting on your call." Leon turns on his heels and heads outside. He shoves his hands in his pockets and played with some coins in his pocket. "I'm hungry let's go grab something to eat"
"Alright."
We ordered a kabab from a street vendor on the way and sat down to eat on a bench. Leon gets really grumpy when he's hungry so I avoided talking until he finished his food.
His phone rang.
Leon swallows the half bitten tomato piece and then clicks his tongue."It's that jerk Cain." He spat.
He listens with tight lips, "Alright I'll be there soon."
Right when he hangs up another incoming call appeared on the screen.
It's Viola maybe she already found a lead. He answers and put the phone on speaker, "Better be good news." He interjected.
"His name is Tom Grey and he lives in an apartment complex on Silver road. The date you mentioned is the day the two teenagers committed suicide. This man has been bullying them and sending them lots of insults. Since they were already in a bad place they couldn't handle his constant abuse." She explained as if she was reading an essay.
"Alright thank you." and he hang up.
How can we trust the information she gave us so easily. I mean yeah she probably wouldn't play us since Leon threatened to hand her to the police, but I can't trust her so easily.
Leon shoves the last piece of the kabab into his mouth. "Cain needs me right now. Wait until I'm done with him. We'll go together after."
I shook my head. We can't wait any longer. "Then I'll visit him myself for now. We can't afford to be late. We should at least warn him."
"Alright be careful though." He picks up his stuff off he table then got up. He waves a small goodbye before heading towards the bus station.
I finished up my food and cleaned up the mess we made on the bench. A squirrel came and picked up some of the food that had fallen to the ground before it ran away.
The trash was divided like usual according to the material but a plastic bottle was sticking out of the food waste box. Is it so hard to throw things in the right place? The plastic recycling bin was empty at that.
I slap the dirt of my hands then picked up my phone. I search up the directions towards the mans house, Tom, and boarded the bus heading closest to where he was.
I kept drifting in and out of sleep until I reached the destination. The bus stopped just a few blocks away from the aforementioned apartment.
As soon as I stepped out of the crowded bus I extended my arms and stretched them out. I yawn escaped me mouth.
"Help!"
I was in the middle of my yawn so I wasn't sure I heard it right. I abruptly stopped yawning and focused on my ears.
"Thief!"
