He looked behind him for the voice, but still found nothing.
"Not there, idiot!" Riria's voice sounded in his head, "The sword!"
Listening to her voice, which seemed to be coming from everywhere, he picked up the still-floating majestic vampire bastard-sword in front of him and buckled it back next to his waist.
Suddenly the sword and sheath both liquified into a liquid that looked like blood and started swirling in front of him.
The swirling intensified and seemed to be forming a cocoon of blood around something.
The cocoon stopped flowing, and instead started to condense inwards and seemed to be forming a body.
The blood suddenly dropped down onto the ground and disappeared, revealing the tall, elegant and shapely figure of a woman.
She was beautiful, her pale-white skin was covered by a luxurious silk black dress, and her previously pitch black hair now had streaks of crimson, most alluringly of all though, her deep sapphire blue eyes had turned an endless ruby red.
Sirus stared, stuck in the prison that were her eyes.
She gave an enchanting smile, whilst revealing long and sharp canine teeth and said something familiar: "Done staring yet?"
Sirus didn't bother to reply and ran at her, locking her in a tight embrace. She hesitated, but then instantly wrapped her arms around him as well, placing her chin on his shoulder.
Unbeknownst to Sirus, her face was contorted into a mischievous grin.
Suddenly she rolled her elongated tongue out of her mouth and slid it across the side of his neck. He shivered at the unfamiliar sensation. But she didn't stop there, and she sunk her newly acquired fangs into the soft skin of his neck.
Blood started rushing out, but she stopped the flow with her mouth and began to suck the blood out of his wound at a fast pace, weakness assaulted his body and he stumbled, releasing his neck from the hold of Riria's teeth. Black spots appeared in his vision, and the last thing he saw before passing out was her seductively licking the blood from her lips.
---
Sirus regained consciousness not soon after and felt a familiar warm and squishy sensation beneath his head, opening his eyes revealed his arms around his sides and another pair of pale white arms wrapped around him.
Riria was sitting up against the ruin walls with her legs stretched out and Sirus sitting in a similar position between them, his head had no choice but to rest on her soft and plump breasts.
He felt one of her arms lift up and begin to stroke his white hair. He tried to sit up but her hand forced his head back and even deeper into her bosom.
"Stop trying to escape, this is your punishment for making me wait around here while you slept." She whispered seductively into his ear.
He immediately objected, "You sucked out my blood and I fainted!"
She pouted her lips and said, "I was hungry!" she turned her attention back to his neck and licked her lips. "And I still am..."
He quickly tried to jerk away from her, but she still had an arm wrapped around him and pulled him back with supernatural strength.
Her mouth formed into a malicious grin, "No escape for you!" Saying so, she placed her lips on the base of his neck and pecked her way up to the top, sending another set of shivers down Sirus' spine.
"Noo, No! I'll die!" Sirus exclaimed in a panic.
She responded with a laugh, "Relax, I'm just joking." She gave him one last kiss on the neck and pulled away.
Sirus exhaled with relief.
"Though I'll still have to do this pretty often, it is my only source of nutrition after all." She said while resting her chin on his shoulder.
His face paled while she wrapped him in another loving embrace.
Deciding to ignore the matter of dying from blood loss for now, he asked her: "So are you really a full vampire now?"
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
"Yep" She responded unexpectedly enthusiastically, "I'll burn up in the sun and everything too!"
"What!?" Sirus was about to follow up, but Riria cut him off, "Relaaaax, I can just turn back into a sword and talk with you through your head when the sun's out, or I can hold an umbrella or something."
"Besides, the pros outweigh the cons heavily. Becoming a vampire has increased my stats by a load, and I won't be a burden in battle if I'm your sword, will I?"
"You were never a burden in battle." He said, and received a flat stare from Riria, "Okay, perhaps a little bit of a weight..."
She gasped, "You! Are you calling me fat!?"
"No! That's not what I-" She suddenly tightened her arms around him, stopping his explanation.
"How dare you! Just for this, another hour to your punishment!" She declared.
He groaned.
-An Hour Later-
"Care to let me go now?" Sirus said after checking his watch.
Riria had her head still resting on his shoulders, with her eyes now closed. "Mhmmm, not yett..." She sleepily said.
"It's been an hour!" He argued.
She replied in an annoyed voice, "Don't you like it?.
He hesitated, "I do but..." His face firmed up in determination. "We have to get going if we want to get out of this labyrinth anytime soon."
She pouted her lips but reluctantly agreed.
They were about to leave the ruins but Sirus noticed something glinting off the crumbled black remains of the monster that had killed Riria's body. He walked over to inspect it and found a strange hexagonal blue gem that was emitting light in slow pulses.
Riria spoke beside him, "What is it?"
"I don't know, but I'll try to identify it." He said and activated the identify skill.
[Name: Room Warp Crystal
Description: Teleport you and nearby individuals to a predetermined room.]
"A teleporting crystal of some sort, it's supposed to teleport us to a 'predetermined room' wherever that is." He explained.
She rubbed her chin thoughtfully and replied, "Should we use it? We can probably handle anything on the other side, and there's a chance it could get us out of here."
"Hmm" Going there could be dangerous, but if it did lead to an exit... "Let's do it, but go into your sword form just in case."
She nodded her head and burst into a river of blood, condensing into a sword inside a sheath at his waist in only a few seconds.
"Nice." Sirus remarked.
"It is quite useful." Riria said inside his head.
"Let's get going then" He activated the crystal.
The light within shined brightly and the shape crumbled in his hands. The light grew brighter and brighter and soon enveloped his body, "Vwoom!". Both the light and Sirus vanished.
Less than a second later they appeared in another room.
Sirus quickly drew his sword and searched for any threats, he didn't notice anything especially threatening so he changed focus to inspect the room. It was another gray stone room, not unlike the stone in the ruins they were just in.
"Riria, you can come out." He said.
"Yeah, yeah" Her voice said.
Upon reappearing she looked around the room as well, but her eyes caught on something. "Are those portals?" She questioned.
Sirus turned to where her gaze lay and found four large stone archways, each with a swirling blue gateway contained behind them. Interestingly, each of the doors had a carved sigil on the crest of each arch, resembling a sword, a wand, a gear, and a leaf respectively.
He asked Risia, "Any idea what those symbols on top of the arches are?"
She looked up at the four and squinted her eyes before responding. "Outside the Magic Kingdom, there are three other kingdoms that we know of, The Gear Kingdom, The Woodland Kingdom, and The Sword Kingdom. Humans run all of them except the Woodland Kingdom, which houses elves. For centuries now the Magic Kingdom has been suppressing the other three kingdoms with their constantly developing magic, and as far as I know they plan to take them all over one-by-one in the next 30 years."
She paused to take a breath and continued, "The Sword Kingdom is trained mainly in the use of the sword, along with other such physical weapons, while the Gear Kingdom focuses mainly on developing complex machineries, the Woodland Kingdom is run by elves as I said earlier and they focus on medicine, alchemy, and some complex druidic magic."
"My guess is that each one of the stone archways leads somewhere inside each one of the kingdoms respectively."
Sirus scratched his forehead thoughtfully, "So if we went through the wand archway, we would be teleported somewhere in the Magic Kingdom?"
"Yes, although that's probably not a good idea as if anyone spot's us we'll be in major trouble. We should probably go through one of the others and gather our strength first before making our way back to the Magic Kingdom."
Sirus had explained his goals to Riria once during the past few days, and she wholeheartedly agreed with them.
He wanted to immediately go to the Magic Kingdom and roast that king alive, but listening to Riria was probably a better idea, seeing as they would probably have to make their way through an army before they would reach the king.
"Alright, any ideas on which one to go through?" He asked her.
She replied quickly, "It would be suicide to go to the Woodland Kingdom as elves generally hate all humans and will probably try to kill us on sight, other than that though, both the Sword and Gear Kingdoms are viable choices."
Sirus wasn't really a 'smart guy' and he quite liked fighting with the sword, so he naturally wanted to go through the Sword Kingdom Archway over the Gear Kingdom one.
"Let's go though the Sword Kingdom one then." He said to Riria.
"Alrighty" She replied, and they both hopped through the Sword Kingdom portal.
