“Hahahaha, who would think that you of all people care for a human.” Uranus was currently flying in the air and laughing, after hearing the story of his little brother. He could believe it at first, but his brother seriously started to care for a human, it felt like the best joke ever told to him.
“I don’t care for her! I’m just interested, that's all.” His brother, the god of the sea, denied it of course. Well denying wasn’t the right word, because he really didn’t know what this feeling was. He only cared for his family, and Clare wasn’t part of her family, but she wasn’t like the other humans either. The young god shook his head, “this is so complicated.”
“Yeah, yeah, of course you don’t.” Uranus calmed down a bit, and sat himself in front of his brother, looking him in the eyes. “So what did you want from me then?”
The young god returned the look of his brother. “Well you see, when I experience the book-” but before he could even properly explain Uranus interrupted him. “You mean read the book right?” The young god rubbed his eyes in annoyance.
“No, I mean experience. *Sigh* Okay Whenever I open a new page of this book I get these kinds of visions, where I see what Clare experienced.” There was a pause before he added something. “I think.”
“You think?” Uranus asked with a raised eyebrow.
“Well I don’t really know how this whole thing works okay? It just kinda happened when I found the box with the book inside. Do you know something?”
“No sorry, maybe you should ask Sol oder Luna.” Uranus suggested.
The young god nodded in agreement and continued. “So as I was saying. When I experienced the book I noticed that Clare seemed to know about my adventures, and I thought that you might have told some humans about it.”
“Oh yeah I did tell humans about that.” Uranus said nonchalantly.
“Really!? Do you know who told you that?” The young god yelled in excitement, unbefitting to his usual appearance. His outburst caught Uranus by surprise, but he recovered shortly after. "Yes, really. But I can’t tell you who I told it to.” He looked at his brother, only to see a downcast expression. Seeing that Uranus quickly tried to explain further. “Ah, not because I don’t want to, but because I physically can’t. I’m pretty sure I told almost every human.”
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
Seeing that his brother's mood didn’t seem to improve, Uranus tried one more thing. “How about asking Sol?” At that, the young god looked up. “Why Sol?” He asked.
“Well he tends to watch everything that happens during the day, so maybe he knows more about the whole thing. You could also ask Luna but you know that she likes to watch more than act so I’m not sure if she would help.”
The young god knew where his brother was coming from and he also knew that Sol would definitely know something, but he could agree with his assumption of Luna. He was sure that, if he were to ask, she would help.
“hm I don’t know, I think I will ask Luna first. I’m sure she knows something too.” He felt just more comfortable talking with Luna then talking with Sol. He enjoyed Luna's calm nature more.
“Ah my pure sheltered brother, you forgot one important thing.” Uranus said in a teasing ton. “Most humans aren’t active when it’s night. So of course I told them about it during the day, meaning when Luna was on the other side of the planet. So she wouldn’t know who exactly I told the story to or what they looked like.”
The young god looked at his brother with a distant look on his face. “What's wrong?” Uranus asked. “Why wouldn’t they be active during the night?” Both were silent for a while. The young god asked the question in the most innocent tone Uranus had ever heard from his younger brother.
The silence continued and the young god began to lose his patients. “Why aren’t you answering me?” he asked. It was only at that moment that Uranus understood that his younger brother was serious, and he couldn’t help himself and laugh.
“Why are you laughing? What's so funny?” The longer the younger brother heard the laughter of his older Brother the angrier he became. Wishing the tears from his face Uranus answered between chuckles. “I just can’t believe you don’t know that humans need sleep.”
Hearing his answer made the young god blush. He knew what sleep was, in fact he could, if wanted to, sleep. That’s also the reason why he forgot about sleep, he never sleeped. Trying to hide his embarrassment, he lowered his head. Only after he regained his calm, did he realize that Uranus just made fun of him and became angry again.
Water started to build up behind him, in a threatening manner ready to obey to the will of its god. Uranus, who was still laughing up to this point, saw the water and immediately vanished into the sky. “Well I will go now. I’m not really interested in being buried under a ton of water, Bye.”
He vanished in an instead, no trace of him left. The young god sighted, he would repay his brother later. Right now he had a decision to make, should he go to Luna or Sol?
