The young god looked at the box in front of him. He just came back to the surface and decided to inspaced the box before doing anything.
He learned from his last mistake. Back then it was also a metal box, but smaller and prettier, with a little handle on the side. Back then he got impatient and began to pull on the closed lit of the box, breaking it.
His sister later told him that it was something the humans called a music box. And that it can make sounds that are supposed to be pleasant to the ear, so called music. He didn’t really care neither now nor back then.
But this box interested him, so he tried to be careful.
And just like this one hour passed.
“...”
An hour where nothing happened.
“How do I open it?” He tried many things, like touching it again, or shaking it. He even tried to pull on the handle at the top of the box, but nothing worked.
“Maybe I should pull harder?” He shook his head. “I would just break it.” The young god was as sure about that as he was about the fact that the water in the ocean was salty.
But just because he was sure about it didn’t mean he was right.
Another hour passed, and he started to feel very frustrated. But it was not like he learned nothing in the last two hours. For once no matter how much he touched the box he wouldn’t get another vision.
The young god still didn’t know what this vision meant or why he got it. He felt that it was important though. “I should ask one of my siblings about that.” That was the moment when an idea popped into his head. He wasn’t able to open the box, but maybe one of his siblings could.
But who should he ask? The young god had many siblings, but he was only acuented with a few of them. There were his two older siblings. He thought about that for a moment.
They were the oldest of them but, would they know about things that humans made? He shook his head. “Well big sis might know, she likes to hear about everything we siblings see and experience.” But in the end he decided against it. He loved his sister, but he knew she would tease him because he was interested in a human.

Then there was his big brother. A shudder went through the young god as he thought about him. His big brother was the oldest of them, despite that he was sure that his brother knew the least about humans. He was more focused on the whole of the planet.
The young god rubbed his temple. Who else could he ask? It needed to be someone that knew about humans, someone that lived near them, like… “Ah damn it! Why her!? Why must it be Gaia?”
The goddess of the earth was one of the gods closest to the humans, because they lived in her territory. And she was the only god, of those that the young god of the sea was close with, he knew well enough to ask.
The young god paced on the surface of the water and, unbeknownst to him, began to sink into the depths with every step. He really didn’t want to ask Gaia, but he really wanted to know more about the book in the box.
In the end he gave up, his curiosity won over his reluctance to meet Gaia. The young god sighed, and only as bubbles came out of his mouth did he notice that he was underwater.

Somewhere on a small island a girl stood at a beach. She had brown hair that was braided into two ponytails, and wore a straw hat. Her hazelnut brown eyes glared at the ocean as she spoke. “What do you want here?”
Slowly a blue haired head poked out of the water. The young god slowly put one hand out of the water and waved at his sister. “Hey Gaia, how is it going?”
The girl, Gaia, sifted her glare and looked the young god in the eyes. “I asked what you want.” She folded her arms in front of her chest, and started to tap her foot in impatience.
The young god looked at his sister. Despite the fact that the two of them were siblings they didn’t look that much alike. There was obviously the hair that was different, but that wasn’t the only difference. Unlike most of their siblings she didn’t wear a robe, instead she wore a white tank top, and light brown shorts.
Another difference was their build. Because bothe didn’t cover their arms the difference was even more apparent. She had different mussels while he was skinny. You could say she looked like an athlete, while he looked like a shut-in. The only thing they had in common was that they both had tanned skin.
“What are you looking at?” Gaia asked, annoyance clear in her voice.
“Ah sorry, it just been a while since we last saw each other”
“Yeah and I’m so happy that you are here.” sarcasm was clear in her voice.
“Oh come on are you still mad about that? It’s been so long since that happened.” His eyes immediately widened as he realized what he said. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean it like”
But before he could finish his sentence Gaia cut him off, with a stomp of her foot. As she did so the whole island shook like her angry self.
“Well that could have gone better.” he thought.
