In the middle of the ocean lay a young god, face first in the water, with the book still in his hand. He had been lying there for a while now, trying to get his thoughts in order. But no matter how long he thought about it, the young god just didn’t understand why he was getting these visions.
The part that confused him the most however, he didn’t dislike the human girl. The young god disliked humans as a rule, they were annoying and destructive creatures that didn’t know their place.
Never in his life did he make good experiences with humans. They would worship him one day and curse him the next, seemingly forgetting that the only reason they exist was his and his siblings' whims. The worst part? Even when he decided to do nothing, the humans expect, no, demand his help.
He absolutely hated it.
This girl though? She felt different. He couldn't quite put his finger on it just yet, but maybe if he learned more? His look wandered to the book in his hand. All things considered it was an interesting experience, to see the world from a human point of view. Maybe he should read more, maybe then he could understand the strange feeling he had since seeing the last vision.
The young god shook his head. Why should he suddenly care for a human? Putting the book down he turned his back to it, hoping to forget about it. His mind had other plans however, and his thoughts drifted always back to the book and the girl, Clare.
He didn’t know much about her, yet the young god felt connected to her. But why? Why did he feel that way? All he knew about her was that she was a young girl wanting to go and tell someone about her adventures.
He didn’t understand, but he wanted to. He wanted to know why he was feeling like he did. To know more about this girl named Clare. And in order to do that he would need to read- no, to experience the book more.

The young god pushed himself up and sat down in the water, taking the book back in his hands. Taking a deep breath, he opened the book again, and flipped to the second page.
The moment the second and third page opened before his eyes, his body became limp and his view shifted again.
____
Up in the sky the Sun started to vanish behind the horizon and the moon started to show its beautiful appearance. Night came and the young god still sat on the water surface. His body only moved occasionally to flip to the next page of the book.
The sea was calm, reflecting the state of its god. At that moment the ocean looked more like a calm pond, not even a ripple disturbing its surface, beautifully reflecting the moon in all its glory, only the real one could rival the reflection in its beauty.
There the young god sat, with a book in his hand, and eyes closed. Not noticing the passage of time nor the figure standing next to him. The figure appeared without disturbing the peaceful sea, and her long silver hair flowed softly in the wind.
The figure, a woman, looked like she was in her twenties, and wore a long silver, white dress. Which seemed to glow in the dark, illuminating her dark skin, with its soft light. Her eyes that looked like a stray night sky fell on the young god showing her love for him.
A small smile appeared on her face as she looked at her youngest brother. Her name was Luna and she was the oldest sister of the gods. She slowly sat next to her beloved brother, who looked asleep, but she knew that it wasn’t the case.
Her view shifted to the book in her brother's hand. “So this is what caused you to become so emotional?” She glanced inside the book, but couldn’t make anything out. The ink seemed to have faded over the time, but it didn’t matter, not to them. It just confirmed that this book wasn’t meant for her.
“I'm excited to see how this book will change you, my brother.” And with that said, she disappeared as fast and silent as she appeared. Not even leaving a ripple in the water surface.
