Red Day 664, 10:07 (Day)
In a desolate manor hidden by a barrier a figure contemplated his shortening lifespan.
Said shortening lifespan was not caused by old age or illness, but by the shadow of death constantly closing in on him in the shape of a team of so-called Heroes who killed his Master and are currently hunting him down.
The figure was a human-looking 60 years old man with long white hairs and a short beard, a pale complexion and vivid red eyes clad in a noble-looking attire with his right hand covered in black gloves holding his head with his right hand as he reflected what he could do against his hunters.
“If I use all of my Ghouls could I kill them? No, it wouldn’t work and it would only be a waste of all my resources to buy a night at most, not nearly enough time.”
His mouth, twisted in a grimace, showed two sharp fangs as he talked aloud to himself.
“If I detonate the castle with them inside… No, if they are on guard they will survive. This alone won’t be enough.”
A sigh escaped him as he concentrated before nodding to himself.
“Let’s abandon all hope of survival. If I fight all of them with all of my Ghouls and detonate this castle upon my death… It could work. Very well, let’s say this work and I bring all five of them down with me. What about my centuries of work? Will all of that be for naught? No, I cannot accept it!”
His passion quickly cooled down towards a subdued tone.
“There is no chance of my survival. Maybe if I change bodies? No, one of them is able to see connection between individuals somehow. Think, Edgar, think.”
Only one option was in his mind right now, not of his survival, but the survival of his research.
As such his life was not the prize, but an additional resource to use to assure his success.
His need for a student was without a doubt certain now, but he didn’t have a convenient list of people he could teach or entrust his lifetimes of research and work to, not only that but they would also need to not be related to him as they would certainly be hunted down otherwise.
“I certainly can’t use one of my Ghoul for such a thing and I have the resources to change only one of them, if they are ready, in a Vampire. And they would still be related to me… Unless… Tonight is a Red Moon, isn’t it… I need to find the right Ghoul to Ascend. It should still be alive, after all it is too useful to be sacrificed.”
Upon having thought of a path forward the Vampire quickly went through all of his Ghouls, smiling as he found the specific one he was seeking and ordering it telepathically to go to the hidden laboratory where he himself was moving towards.
Upon reaching said laboratory he found himself before the Ghoul he planned to ascend, a 15 years old-looking Half-Elf girl with red hair, gray complexion and dull red eyes waiting for him.
He nodded and guided it towards a secret room within the laboratory, a room where the floor, ceiling, walls and even the inside of the door was made of a magical mirror reflecting the sky, if it was activated.
He proceeded to take a vial of blood gifted to him by his now former Master to use to Ascend a Ghoul that was ready in a Vampire and looked at its Servant.
“Listen well. In two hours night will fall and a Red Moon will happen. You aren’t allowed to leave this room until I give you an express order otherwise. The moment the Red Moon will manifest these special mirrors will flood this room with Moonlight and you will drink my Master’s blood starting your Ascension. While the Red Moon’s light shine in this room you will use your Unique Skill “Singularity” to absorb as much power as you can while taking care to hold back from Ascending until the Mirrors finished sending moonlight in this room. Do you understand?”
Upon the rhetoric question and the predicted response composed of a nod the Ghoul gently took the blood vial from its Master and moved towards the center of the room where, upon its Master’s exit and locking of the room, it sit down ready to activate its Unique Skill at a moment notice.

Meanwhile the two century and a half Vampire went towards the control room for the entire manor, where the control for the normally hidden rooms was in itself hidden.
The Vampire researcher went to access said hidden controls through a mix of his Blood and Mana using his own Unique Skill: “Soul Link” as a medium to interface with said controls.
The next step was simple: the lowering of all the energy use within the manor to the minimum except for the barrier with the role to hide said manor and preparing to redirect said energy to the mirror room while at the same time preparing to connect said room with the first of the Linked Mirrors that will recieve the ray of Red Moonlight.
While he was waiting for the coming of the Red Moon he was reflecting on his luck that it was happening right now as through said Red Moon that team of Heroes would have their travel options limited considering that they were on a different island from him.
In fact no boat or ship will travel two weeks before and two weeks after the Red Moon as it would vastly increases the power and aggressiveness of most Monsters.
The travel, a week long by sea minimum, would give him more than enough time to train his new student a little, give them his research and sending them away from the island well before the Heroes would reach him.
Finally, after an additional hour and a half, the first ray of Red Moonlight shone on the receiver and his plan started in earnest with the transfer of said light to the Mirror Room where all the Energy that was being stored was used to amplify it such that the light was not that of a Red Moon, but that of a Blood Moon while the Ghoul took in his Master’s Blood and it started integrating Energy from said Blood Moonlight.
-
It was being ripped apart.
It was being burnt.
It was being frozen.
It was being shocked.
It was being crushed.
And this cycle continued.
It was being destroyed.
It was being erased.
It would not fall.
It would succeed.
Its absorption of the Energy was hurting it.
It could stop.
It would not stop.
It would not yield.
It would not hesitate.
It will succeed.
It will surpass all expectation.
It will converge…
She will be one!

7/1 664 00:31 (Summer, Day)
It was barely after Sunrise.
After eleven long hours of Red Moon and around 90% of the manor’s energy reserves was exhausted it was finally over.
The old vampire was before the Mirror Room hoping that this final gambit was a success and hesitantly opened the shut door.
The first thing he saw was two crimson lights shining before him and he knelt down without hesitation, his eyes stuck firmly on the ground.
A light sound reached his ears, the sound of extremely soft steps as a shadow was cast on him.
“Look up.” It- no, she said in a voice that betrayed no emotion.
Having heard the soft command he remained on his knees, but looked up meeting for the second time the two crimson lights that he now identified as a pair of eyes that shone of their own light with no pupils.
Said eyes were in an incredibly pale face with long silver hair that were not owned by a Vampire as his own Skills helped him to understand what the figure before him was.
At her rebirth she had two Skill at E-Rank, a Racial Skill and her Unique Skill.
Said Skills were more than enough to acknowledge the miracle before him.
Racial Skill: Lunarian;
Unique Skill: Singularity;
A small smile was on the face of the newly reborn entity before him as wonder shone on his own face.
