The healing process took him a few weeks. Life did return to normal eventually. The group was meandering around the academy. None of them had class today and they couldn’t figure out what to do.
"Im boooooored.” Chad groaned.
"Let's go to the city park," Ariel suggested. After a few minutes of convincing mostly Chad. The group agreed enthusiastically.
The city had one large park, compared to the several little parks at the Academy. They all agreed to check it out together because none of them had yet had the opportunity to do so.
Making their way into the park they couldn’t help but stop and appreciate its beauty. The park was filled with lush green grass that swayed in the breeze, tall trees that provided shade from the sun, and colorful flowers in bloom surrounding a large lake. It was a beautiful sight to behold, and everyone immediately felt relaxed in its calming ambiance. The sun shone brightly on everything, but there were plenty of shaded areas where they could sit and relax without getting burnt. It felt really good to relax as a group. Everyone found their own spot where they could take a break and enjoy each other’s company.
Jack looked at his friends and smiled, thinking of all the future adventures they would have together. He was excited to see what the next year would bring, and he was sure that it would be filled with joy and laughter. With such a great group of friends, there was no telling what kind of memories they'd make together.
Realizing that the sun was beginning to set, he suggested that they have a picnic in the park. Everyone agreed and soon enough blankets were spread out, food was unpacked, and laughter filled the air.
The group spent the evening talking and joking around, watching as the sun slowly faded away. Jack smiled as he watched his friends laugh and talk with each other. He was so glad he had such amazing people in his life.
As Jack relaxed with his buddies, he couldn't help but ponder the Royal Whisper’s offer.
"I've heard great things about them," Sable exclaimed, his excitement palpable.
"What do you think, Ariel?" Jack asked, turning to her.
"I'm not sure," she responded shrugging. "I don't know anything about them."
Salem spoke next. "My family has done extensive business with them before," he said, his voice serious. "Be careful if you join them. It's hard to decipher their motives."
That evening Jack went back to his room with a lot on his mind. Relaxing with his friends had been nice, but the offer to join the guild was weighing on his mind a lot. He closed the door to his room with a soft sigh.
Turning around he was surprised to see henry staring at him. Henry had been badly damaged by Jack when he attacked the beast. The only part that was still active was his head. Luckily that was where all his memory and processors seemed to be. The head was on one of Jack’s shelves staring at him.
“We need to talk,” he said.
“Uh, ok. What’s wrong?” Jack said as he slowly started getting ready for bed. It was a long day and he was exhausted. He was extremely excited to cuddle in his cozy sheets.
“I understand that you did not purposely put me into this situation, but as the main cause for my new discomfort, I think it is only fair you find some way to repay me.
“Uh ok. Like what?”
“Anythingggggg I’m extremely bored.
Jack had noticed Henry’s personality had changed slightly since the accident. Henry had explained it was for multiple reasons. before his processors needed to operate his entire body. now they have nothing to do. Also, the shock may have altered his personality slightly.

Jack thought for a moment, he knew Henry was a very smart AI and had a fast processor. He needed something that would keep his mind occupied and engaged. He racked his brain for any sort of distraction and then it hit him.
“Henry, I think I have an idea of how to keep you preoccupied. You used to work with your master to invent and create stuff right? Why don't we start working on some projects together?”
Henry's eyes literally lit up brighter and he couldn't contain his excitement. "Yes! That sounds amazing! We can build new machines and devices! And with programming, I could learn so much more than simply processing data!"
Jack smiled as he listened to Henry get worked up about the possibilities they could explore together. It was true that he had caused this mess but seeing Henry so passionate was a great sight. Henry looked around the room as they continued their conversation. His eyes were filled with anticipation and awe as he imagined all the possibilities he could explore with Jack's help. Jack was surprised by how excited Henry was getting over these ideas, it was almost like he had been waiting for this opportunity. Eventually, Jack fell asleep while chatting with Henry. It was a surreal experience for Jack. He never had someone to casually talk to while he slowly fell asleep.
The next day Jack decided he would join the Royal Whispers. It took him some serious consideration. He hoped he would be able to change it from within. The building was located extremely close to the palace. This was actually Jacks first time getting this close to the palace. The building was extremely grand and elegant.
The palace had multiple spires that reached high into the sky. Each spire had a large golden tip. The building was a combination of white and gold. A huge gate ran around the outside. The gate design looked similar to what the academy had.
Jack took a few steps back and just admired the palace for a few moments. He could see all the different colors of marble used in its construction. There were carvings that went around the building, depicting scenes from old stories and myths. The building seemed to be glowing slightly as the last rays of sunlight hit it, creating an almost surreal atmosphere.
He knew this was only a glimpse of what he would experience when he officially joined and started working for the Royal Whispers. As Jack looked around, he couldn’t help but marvel at how beautiful it was. He had never seen anything like it before and he couldn’t wait to explore inside.
The palace was a symbol of power and wealth, two things Jack had not experienced much growing up in Carcas. He stayed in this spot for quite some time just admiring the beauty of the palace from afar. He took in every detail; thinking about all the interesting people he would meet, wondering what it felt like to have so much power, and considering what kind of secrets were kept within its walls. Everywhere he looked he saw something new and wonderful, from the colorful flags that adorned each spire to the way that lights shimmered off each window of the main hall. In the air around the palace was a sweet smell, like honey and cedar wood. It seemed to be a combination of many smells all in one, like a mixture of flowers and spices. The palace is silent, yet it's presence speaks loudly of immense power and wealth, echoing through the air like a fortress of authority. The building was covered in a beautiful marble on the outside. The exterior was in a combination of white and a slightly blue type of marble. It was very shiny, making it hard to look properly at the main building. There were four large flags that hung down from the building, each one depicting a different symbol.
He felt awestruck and humbled by its magnificence, understanding for just a moment why so many dedicated their lives to protecting it and keeping it safe for generations to come.
The people inside are another matter. But he dare not say that out loud.
A big reason Jack took the position at the Whisper Guild was the hope he could change things from the inside. He hoped he could influence decisions to make a difference. Considering how advanced the guild was he assumed the process would be complex to officially join. But he just showed up at a simple-looking building and they gave him some unusual equipment. He was not yet a whisper, but an apprentice in training. Jack nervously entered the grand stone chamber of the Whisper Guild, his heart pounding in his chest. As part of his new position, he was given a special piece of identification, along with a few items that seemed to be of little use. But upon closer inspection, he realized they were in fact very useful tools designed to look useless. The first item he received was a necklace with a metallic ring hanging off it. As soon as Jack put it on, he heard soft whispers coming from the ring. He had discovered a communication device allowing him to talk to other whispers. His next item was a pair of dark glasses that had a special feature - when he put them on, he could make out invisible writing. This came in handy for deciphering codes and secret messages. His last item was a pen with a special tip that released an invisible ink when touched to paper; this ink only became visible when Jack wore the glasses. It seemed like all these items were essential spy tools for a whisper apprentice in training. Jack now had all the necessary tools to become a successful Royal Whisper and finally start making an impact. Jack spent the rest of his day preparing for his exams and getting acquainted with his unique set of gadgets.
