“What happened here?” I asked. It took a few moments, but someone responded,
“The monsters came. We don’t know what they are, but they suddenly came and left even faster. We are the only survivors.” I sighed. “Follow me,” I said. I couldn’t let these people die here.
I had the ability to save them so I would. The tower would be their sanctuary for now. Until I had a better Idea. I led them to the tower. They were skeptical since this was past the boundary. They knew nothing about the world beyond, But there was nothing left behind them, so they had to keep moving forward. They followed me into the tower. They were astonished by my handiwork. It was a huge space with buildings and wildlife. It was a whole other world inside and that wasn’t it. There was a sky. A bright blue sky just like the one outside. They would be happy and safe here. The only thing is that they have lost lives. That I cannot bring back to them. “So…. we get to live here?” A young boy asked.“Yes. May your lives be happy lively. I began to walk towards another door. I opened it with magic and said, “ And I hope to see you at the top.” I don’t know what happened next, but in a few years, a boy made it to the top of the tower and knelt before me. He asked me of one thing, “I wish to rule over the tower alongside you.” He didn’t know it but, I wasn’t much older than him. As someone that took charge when it was needed, I seemed much older than I really was. I agreed, knowing all that. His name was Jahad. A few years later, ten people reached the top of the tower. They had all known magic but noticed they could only use one kind. Air magic. The most passive basic magic there is. The only way this tower will not be torn apart. But there was another catch. This was weakened even more because, in the tower, you had to focus that magic into a ball we called a bang. It took a lot of energy to do even one, so not even many mages could do more. But those ten people asked for an element. I gave it to them. They and their family would have the ability to use that element but only that. They soon became known as the ten great families. As the years went by, The families began to lie to their children about the truth of the outside world. They told them that there was nothing. They told them that the tower is all that exists other than a bit of earth underneath and around. They told them that they were living in the tower and always had. I don’t know exactly why, but I believe it is to hide the pain on the inside. They clearly didn’t want them to know what truly happened to their families. But they could easily cover it up.
