"Cald?" Gloss called from the other bed in the room.
"Yeah Gloss?" Caldesan called from her bed across the room that they decided to share for the night.
"I think it's time."
"Already?!"
"Well, who cares, can't we just go build?" Glossarai pleaded.
"Okay, but what first?"
"Okay well, I'm thinking the road to the center of the town, we can put the apartments in then do an awesome parkway in between, that is your expertise, and while you are making that, I will build the new train drop-off building that will be in the market. Also, I'll put it in the parking lot with a wall of windows that overlooks the valley to the east and also is covered over the top. Oh, maybe something with a few glass panels to let in some light." Gloss tended to ramble as well when thinking about planning the next build.
"That sounds awesome, I want to make a lazy river around the entire residential place, with fields of grass on the sides and beautiful pathways over the top leading from the different buildings, not to mention more trees and bushes everywhere, maybe even some of those huge ones from the pink forest? And I still want a comfortable road for carriages with walls so they don't fall off, with parking garages underneath each building. I'll have ramps going down to each one and an easy angle. Ohh this is going to be fun!!!! Do you have the sheet with the list for what apartments are needed where?"
"Yeah, It's in my inventory. So here is my thought, we still haven't taken a shower yet, so we should do that today then get food and eat it. We have a shower hooked up and I have enough water to fill a tank for us, we stink Cald." Gloss really understood Cald's hesitation and it was as plain as day to see it on her pretty face as it just froze, but these were their bodies now, and it was time to shower finally. Although Gloss had taken quite a few, Cald had just been wearing the refreshing future suit, so she didn't stink, but Gloss felt that they should still take a shower and quit ignoring that they were women now.
"FINE, your first thought," Cald said quickly.
"Nope, you are coming with me, there is only one shower, but there are two shower heads side by side. It's huge and wide open, let's get this over with! We are practically sisters now!" Gloss finally got her into the shower.
After Cald got a look at herself she had to stop immediately until she saw the same perfect beauty next to her, but in the mirror, they looked the same with only different colored eyes. They looked so similar that even the random strands of hair that surrounded their faces were the same in how they hung there. She felt weird being attracted to herself and the person next to her... who also looked like her. It was insane to Caldesan, "How are you okay with looking at us, and not getting embarrassed?" Cald asked Gloss, with fiery red cheeks.
"Well Cald, I have never really been attracted to females and now that we are them...well I guess I'm straight now." Gloss said. She knew that Caldesan wouldn't freak out at that, Caldesan had a brother who she loved dearly in her first life while she was still a man. Her brother was gay as well as Glossarai, not that they had ever met or spoken, but Gloss had already told Cald that he was a gay man, and Cald always still accepted him with no problem at all. So it took a second to register that he still felt the same way and was doing this to prove a point. "You should be comfortable in your skin, and this isn't going to change any time soon, so just get used to it."
"Oh, that makes sense. But wait! OH, wow... This makes a lot of sense. Okay, yeah I understand." Cald was then able to look at the situation from another angle, and at that point, they viewed each other as sisters, and Cald could look at herself with determination, knowing who she is.

Before most people in the town were awake, the two pioneers had already laid the foundation for the basement, pipes for both water and waste, and finished the outer wall that held the basement of the town. It was easy enough to have a full pipe of water pumping to buffers that would be in the basement of each residential tower, and every building could share buffers and water loads pretty easily. Putting pumps was also easy as they already had power up from the train station.
The night before they had received the final count on each style of home for each bedroom number needed per family. Cald and Gloss had already worked out where people would most be happy together, the Shrine Guardian had a few certain collections of families that preferred to live in the same area. There was a park that ran in between each of the four large lines of apartment towers that made up most of the residential district.
Other buildings such as the school, the grocery store, bathhouses, the fitness center, and the beautiful viewing deck with room for stalls for small food vendors and other residential services were all set in their places. The Viewing Deck itself was beautiful and would be an amazing spot to walk to enjoy the eastern view or sit and relax with friends and family.
Every time the duo of Pioneer builders built things, they could save more blueprints into their shared blueprint planner. They had so many resources in their inventories that they finished the entire residential area and still had plenty more to go before they needed to resupply. Finishing the walls between the Residential District, which had a large park between the last building on the west to the wall next to the Industrial District.
It was then that Caldesan finished the road through the town while Gloss made an area to park carriages, a stable for horses and other mounts, and the area had a cover over it, some faucets for water, and 'Waste Hoppers' so everyone could put any kind of waste in there with no problem. Caldesan made the road run to the farthest gate and in the center of the town, she built a small square with a center platform. This larger area had sidewalks on both sides running along the road from east to west with the beginnings of roads running North and South.
The Road that went North was split between the Market District and Administration District. As soon as she finished the road to the west gate, people began to rise and it took a little while before Glossarai noticed that most of the people were standing on the road watching them build the market district.
Lorella was late to the stunned crowd, but she made her way through to the front as Gloss and Cald flew over to the gathering crowd.
"Good morning Pioneers. It seems you are already hard at work this early in the morning." Lorella said. She looked like she had gotten much-needed sleep, and her beautiful tails seemed to flick around with delight while admiring the amazing apartments that had balconies with plants, what seemed to be a running waterfall in the center of each building and massive windows on each floor.
"Good morning Earth-Shrine Lorella!" "CALD seriously?!? How can you not get her name right?"
"Oops, but hey we changed the outer design on these apartments a bit, now there is a stream that runs through each park, and it is deep enough for fish!"
"Are they finished?" Lorella asked with an amazing expression on her face.
"Of course they are, the ladies here can't help but do the impossible as if it is nothing," Marchen said with a smile. "And a good morning to you both, how has the building been going?" Marchen continued.
"Great! Gloss and I have finished the Residential and Market Districts, they just need fine-tuning, but all of the apartments are finished to the specifications that we decided on last night, and pretty much fully decorated with basic furniture."
"They can move into their new houses? Truly?" Lorella asked with disbelief.
Glossarai took her helmet off and looked to Caldesan with a smile before turning back to the crowd. "Your new houses are here, and ready! Please talk to Earth-Shrine Guardian Lorella for info on where your new house is!"
Caldesan also took her helmet off and smiled, "We should all go take a look at your new homes, and we can teach you how to operate all of the appliances and stuff."
"Yes, they seem to have many different ways of operating a household, including a stove that seems safer, non-fire using lighting, and of course plumbing."
Gnolt the Representative for the Naga said as he made his way through the crowd with the other FicSitine Representatives.
"You have outdone yourselves again it would seem Pioneers." High Priestess Alana said, many people nodding along with her.

The current state of the town was that the only buildings were far off in the distance behind walls and you could see the waterfalls coming off the tops of the buildings. There were a few larger structures in the Market District, including a massive structure that seemed to be built into the mountain wall to the north. There were seats and stairs that could easily hold the entire population of Idlefrost three times over.
But the interesting thing was the clear field of metallic plating. It was perfectly level, and clean, and only had openings where different types of tubing and more unknown things, including large orange pipes. The holes in the grounds seemed oddly spaced out in lines, but they had varying spaces. Looking to the South there were a few structures that were around 4 stories tall with smoke coming from the top of a few of them. That would be the small amount of production that they had implemented in the town already, in preparation for the crafting areas they would make. It was where the entrance to the flooded mine was, there was now just a large tunnel covering the entrance which led into the first set of buildings.
"Yeah we were excited to start, so we woke up early!" Caldesan said.
Glossarai nodded and said, "Well, let's go check out the Residential and Market Districts."
"Of course Gloss, let us walk together." Apprentice Shaman Nalah said while waving her staff in the direction of the road.
"So, you said the two districts are complete already? What else have you finished?" Marchen spoke up while trying to dampen his curiosity.
"Well, we finished all the piping with both waste retraction and water distribution, as well as buffers at each location so people never run out of water," Glossarai said.
"We also built the front of the town, which includes the overlooking deck on the residential side, all decorated by the way. There is also a new item reception area near the item bridge, which includes the hyper tube transit to and from the train station. Also, a sort of covered parking structure for vehicles and mounts that can be easily converted or used as people please." Caldesan continued.
"Oh! We also built a few streams coming from each of the towers, and now some creeks run underneath pathways through the center of the large "alleyways" between the buildings. There are currently 4 rows of apartments and the creeks all run to the center between the middle of the parks. There is where you will find a series of buildings on the residential list, as well as a nice glass viewing platform above water, so you could put fish in there, and they can swim up to the streams to the base of the waterfalls and stuff! OH!!! AND THEN! It flows into the park where we have put a larger 'Pond' but it's more of a lazy river that opens up on one spot." Caldesan began rambling, and almost skipping with excitement as she went on about the new place.
"You have truly made wonders beyond imagination here." Charine, the advisor and assistant to the High Elven Lord Jaenen. Her previously stern expression was gone, now sat an expression of wondrous amazement on her face. The entire town of people walked down the main street to the large square, the entire thing had plants, trees, and LIGHTS, and was beautifully decorated.
Walking through the large square that was now the center point of the town....even if it wasn't the perfect center, everyone walked around the huge fountain in the center which contained the clearest blue water ever seen. It seemed to be constantly moving as if it was a constantly replenishing stream.
The pioneers were giggling as a bunch of the town's children jumped in, and they had already made a ramp on one side if they needed to get out at all.
There were smiles all around the town and even the floating Pioneers stopped to watch the mass of different types of children now even a few adults jumped into the clear water. Little did they know, the water was healing people who were touching it, and giving them energy as it took away their soreness and rejuvenated them.
Caldesan floated down next to Lorella, who was watching the cute display with an amused smile. It seemed the pressure of not having the resources to care for her people was starting to wear on her and watching this scene was releasing that pressure. Cald spoke next to her quietly, "Just wait till you see the Residential District, Gloss let me go wild on the natural look." There was an added giggle as Lorella looked at her with amazement.
"I am at a loss for words Caldesan, as I seem to be quite often at the sight of your powers. Tell me Caldesan, what honors can I bestow upon you and Glossarai? Surely, there is something, for you have done what I have thought impossible. To save my people from the terrors of the years past. Both of you are truly treasures to this world." Lorella thought deeply as she continued walking towards the residential district.
The wall of the Industrial district was large and equal to the Residential one, but there were large gaps in both for roads to cut into it. At street level, wide windows were looking into the Park area, where a pond with a large creek circled it with walkways, trees, bushes, grass, open hills, beautiful bamboo with the darkest reds, and large trees with blue, pink, and purple leaves. This place is a masterpiece, created in only a few hours. The very land they walk on is the canvas for them.
They made it to the first set of apartments and that was when Lorella started to explain how everything worked to the people, and where their homes were.
It took nearly an hour, and when people started to break up to go to their respective towers, they were once again amazed. The waterfalls from each tower didn't just fall, they fell below the level at which the road entered the District. Each road broke off and it turns out the first two floors of each building were parking for carts and mounts. Along with a common area, a spot for a few places for communal gatherings, and the road itself drove through the waterfall, and it landed on glass windows above the road then split down under it to join the creek running into the center of the District.
Each building is 15 stories tall and had a rooftop platform to look around, as well as the spot where the waterfalls were brought up. Each floor was 2 apartments worth of space, for the largest family homes with 4 or 5 rooms and more in each apartment. The size decreased with fewer rooms per apartment down to a smaller 2-bedroom apartment where there were 10 per floor on the later apartment buildings. It looked like there were nearly 30 towers in each line, the residential district was by far the largest in the town.
On each apartment roof, there were 8 automated food-producing bio-domes. They were a mod that Caldesan had found, since she wanted to farm, but they turned out to just automate the farming process and produced a preposterous amount of food constantly, at a seemingly impossible rate that would only make sense in a video game. So there was food already being made and delivered to the second floor of each building, produce, flour, potatoes, rice, and more. People could just take what they need, but it was in Costco sizes so they would find themselves full quickly. Many useful items and foods were available at the item hoppers on the second floor, which also included bottled water, which wasn't needed, but still nice to have, and many other foodstuffs. It came down from the roof and it was all sorted into a smart splitter overflow array that was behind the walls, then they fed to a 10x2 item hopper wall with all the different food things.
Everything was already worked out with the needs of the city, and there was room for ten times the current population to move in. Lorella was handing out keys to the families, which were small card-shaped objects made out of metal. Gloss had figured out how to produce them with aluminum and engrave them with each family's name, there were as many cards as there were rooms, plus an extra one per master bedroom.
At first, the people had smiles, and little skeptical looks were shared when looking at the intimidating complex of homes. Engineering is on a level where imagination can come together from nothing.
Smiles then were replaced with relieved sighs and even some tears of joy as people now officially had a place to call their own.
The Pioneers stopped listening to Lorella as she was explaining that everything is free to them as long as they live there. There is no need to worry about payment. But instead, Caldesan flew off and began building the Industrial District, which included expanding into a few places for crafting... blacksmiths, tailors, seamstresses, and other types of crafts that require metals, cloth, plastics, or rubber.
Glossarai, waited with Lorella as she finally finished handing out all of the keys that Gloss had provided her. Everything was labeled and numbered, but it was still nice to be finished. It was at that moment that Earth-Shrine Guardian Lorella then realized that she hadn't been given a house and she chuckled to herself as she realized that she simply hadn't planned one for her. She was too busy worrying about everyone else.
"Finally realized that you didn't write your name down for a house?" Glossarai asked with an amused tone.
"Huh, I just realized that, I wonder where I should go for my house..."
"Hehe, don't worry about that, we have already taken care of that. Let me grab Caldesan real fast before we show you your house."
"Oh, okay." The Shrine Guardian said with an embarrassed smile, it wasn't often that she found people looking to care for her needs outside of a professional situation.
True to Glossarai's word, there was indeed a house made for her. The very southern part of the main river way as another creek that flowed down towards the center of the 4 lines of apartment towers. The creek started from what looked like a 4 story-tall house with two pathways that ramped up alongside the flowing creek. there were beautiful purple bushes that were massive and lined the pathways up, with blue, white, and green lights overhead and in the water. The road for carriages went under her house to the east and west in a huge oval, and under her house was a large stable and parking area for carriages and also a few vehicles that the Pioneers left for her.
Lorella looked up at her house, it was incredible, and it was up against the southern mountain wall, but the waterfall fell in an indentation in front of her house, as if it was a massive U shape, with the bottom against the mountain. The two wings that came forward ended in balconies on each floor, with wide windows all around.
Caldesan had gone wild on the inside of this house and made it have many rooms and many personalized areas that she felt the Shrine Guardian would enjoy.
"This is my.....house?" She asked with awe.
The Pioneers giggled and gave her a tour before going back to start working with the people who would be needing workplaces in the Industrial District and places to sell things in the Market District.
The Shrine-Guardians house included a large area that butted up against the mountain where Lorella could use her Earth Magic to create more room or whatever she would like. There were also a few very large baths, not only for guests that would be welcome to stay at her house but as the leader of this small town she deserves to have a place to relax. Caldesan went all out when creating a place for Lorella, and she couldn't have been happier to accept such a gift.
Caldesan had made her a huge office with a ridiculously beautiful desk that was made from rich dark-looking wood. There were bookshelves in that same room, with the outside wall being covered in her waterfall. The office took most of that floor up with a second office for her assistant if she needed one. All and all they had made paradise, Idlefrost might have to change the name soon.
