A Mirror

"...Warning, Planetfall Imminent, please remain seated during the procedure."

"GLOSS, MY VOICE ISN'T WORKING RIGHT!" Caldesan yelled in an unexpectedly feminine high-pitched voice.

"UHhhhhh, Mine Either, me neither, mine is wrong too! That's not the problem though. We are falling!

"Atmospheric entry in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Planetfall procedure initialized."

"Ohhh shiiit, I wanted to be isekaid, but wtf, like immediately falling into a new planet, like oooh man Gloss, I am freaking out right nowwwwwww."

Caldesan's voice is shaking in time with the rumbling pod.

"Hold onnnnnn Calllld!!!!" Glossarai yells back while also shaking.

The pod slams into the ground just like the intro to a new game.

"Planetfall complete."

Unlike the game, the Pioneers were in the same compartment that they loaded their characters into as if it were a mod, Glossarai sitting to the left of the

hyperventilating Caldesan. This was not part of the game, this was something else.

"Uuh, uh, uh, uh, Gloss I think this is crazy, I think we are here, like really here. Oh man oh man oh man." Caldesan said.

"Yeah, calm, down, let's get out of here and see where we are, okay?" Glossarai's voice, now feminine and consoling, did wonders to calm Caldesan.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay the door," Caldesan said while grabbing the right handle, Glossarai grabbed the other one.

Just like the game, the very air itself seemed to resonate with the same THX intro-style musical score as the Pioneers stepped out carefully.

They looked and saw a barren desert straight ahead.

"OH MAN, I am a girl now GLOSS, Gloss, what is happening? I am freaking out right now. Oh man, oh man, oh man......" Caldesan casually turns around and points the building gun at the drop pod and instantly disassembles it, after the delete sound happened, a black box was sitting there, indicating that Caldesan's inventory was full.

"Our inventories are full Cald. How did you do that though?" Glossarai asked while ignoring the ramblings of Caldesan.

"Yeah, I have no clue, I just deleted it, you have to delete it so you can make your hub, but dude, I was just sitting at my computer, and now here we are falling into a fucking planet, I am losing my shit, Gloss, you are keeping it together, like what the hell is happening, I don't know, I just don't know."

"Cald, TAKE A BREATH, it's going to be fine," Glossarai said.

"What do you mean it's going to be fine, I WAS LITERALLY IN MY SWEATS GOING TO GO TO BED IN LIKE, ONE... drop pod trip ago....like 10 minutes ago.....how are you okay with this?" Caldesan asked with her hands going through insane gestures in the air.

"Well, I hated my life, and at least here we can do some cool shit and build stuff, and explore a new world..... with Elves," Glossarai said while somehow being more excited than scared about the group standing not too far away.

"Elves???? Oh no, your mind has broken, WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO NOW? Gloss you are supposed to be the strong one here, I am not keeping it together, and you are talking about Elves, oh man, oh man! We are gonna die here, is this even real what the hell." Caldesan said.

"CALD!!!" GLossarai shouts while shaking Caldesan, "Look!" and points behind the freaked-out Caldesan.

After looking at the group of people including the Elves, a human man with a crown on his head came forward, "Greetings Priestesses of FicSitine, we welcome you to Agua."

Caldesan stared at the King and the others for nearly 10 seconds before screaming and running off into the desert.

"AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH, NOBODY SAID ANYTHING ABOUT ALIENS, MAN, I CAN'T DEAL WITH IT!" Caldesan said while sprinting off into the desert while continued incoherent screaming followed her.

Glossarai watched Caldesan run away with what would be a slack-jawed expression behind the helmet. Then looking back and forth between the elves and the others, she took a step backward away from the King and his entourage.

"We mean you no harm Priestess, we have summoned you for your help. I am King Desmian of Tevate, and I would like to formally request your help.....along with your fellow priestess....if she can be reached."

"hahaha.....ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, are you an Elf????" Glossarai said nervously while completely ignoring the King's statement.

The elf raised an amused eyebrow, "Well...yes, I am Lord Jaenen Karhaleon of the Elven council of Diyaene. Should you go get your other Priestess.....Cald, did you say?"

"Uuuhhh hahaha, yeahhhh, uhhh, alright. I'll be right back, we are totally not freaking out or anything ohhhh man, Elves are real, I can even comment on the other races here right now, it's too much....oh man." Glossarai also had a small breakdown and started muttering to herself about the different races that must be on this planet. They heard it all and shared looks of humorous confusion on their faces.

__________________________________________

King Desmian's Party, T-minus 20 Seconds until the countdown is completed.

"What do you think is going to happen?" King Desmian asks Lord Jaenen.

"I have no idea. But I hope something happens....we need all the help we can get." Lord Jaenen responds quietly.

From above a loud burning sound began to grow in intensity. A small place specked with flames coming from it was approaching from...somewhere in the heavens.

As the noise from the drop pod sent from the heavens increased they got a better look at it and began to approach the landing sight.

"Now that is something you don't see every day." Lord Jaenen said after the pod thunked onto the ground.

A hatch on the other side of the pod opened up, and they could immediately hear a panicked female voice.

There were two female-looking people in odd suits with helmets that covered their heads entirely, one was seemingly freaking out, while the other was looking around calmly, but still trying to relax the other, until she noticed the delegation. Their clothing looked...different, like nothing he had ever seen before.

"....how are you okay with this?" The frantic Priestess said.

"Well, I hated my life, and at least here we can do some cool shit and build stuff, and explore a new world with Elves." The calm one replied while eyeing the group of representatives and leaders.

They had very weird accents that seemed to be some sort of an amalgamation of different accents depending on what word they were saying. The speech from the frantic one would change drastically from word to word as if she is not sure what octave or depth her voice is normally comfortable at. It was different from using inflections and accents.

"Elves???? Oh no your mind is broken...." The frantic priestess that was facing the other direction, continued to ramble nearly incoherently, the King Desmian was only able to pick up a few of the words said at an obscenely fast speed, as if a haste spell was cast on her.

Finally, the calm one was able to get the other one's attention by screaming, "CALD!" while shaking her whole body. "Look." While pointing at the large group.

Time seemed to slow as the frantic priestess, in a rare turn of events, the crazy priestess stared in shocked silence at the group of fantastically dressed people.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" The high pitch, a blood-curdling scream came from the crazy priestesses' Orange helmet with a black glass face shield, before she turned and ran, all while muttering strange words about something called "aliens."

After a few moments of awkward silence, the Calm Priestess looked around at the group.

"We mean you no harm Priestess, we have summoned you for your help. I am King Desmian of Tevate, and I would like to formally request your help.....along with your fellow priestess....if she can be reached." The Human King said while looking off at the shrinking figure of the other priestess.

"hahaha.....uuuhhhhhhhhhhhh, are you an elf????" The Priestess asked.

"Well yes, I am Lord Jaenen Karhaleon of the Elven council of Diyaene. Should you go get your other Priestess.....Cald, did you say?"

"Uuuhhh hahaha, yeahhhh, uhhh, alright. I'll be right back, we are totally not freaking out or anything ohhhh man, elves are real, I can even comment on the other races here right now, it's too much....oh man." Her voice was also in a weird fluctuating state as if it is not in tune with her body, but it was tinged with unbridled curiosity.

"Ahem...So Miss...Priestess...? Do you have a name or title that we can address you by?" Lord Jaenen brought the introductions back again.

"Uhh, Gloss..., Uhhhh Glossarai, Pioneer Glossarai," Glossarai said while walking towards the group, now a little more relaxed.

"Uhm, so, you guys are....this is....a new world? Sorry, stupid question, it's new to me of course, but it's obvious we got isekai'd, right into the computer screens, I mean that is some next-level interaction, like VR is not nearly on this level you know? I just can't believe it." Glossarai ranted, faster than most people can talk comfortably.

"Please, calm yourself my fellow Priestess of FicSitine. Please, be calm. We mean you no harm. We just need your help." The High Priestess Alana said while walking up to the Pioneer Gloss.

"May I call you Gloss?" She asked soothingly, receiving a nod. "Good, I am Alana, and like you, I am a fellow Priestess of FicSitine."

This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.

Gloss cocked her head to the side, "FicSitine? Like FICSIT? You mean our Satisfactory company thing?" It was Alana's turn for a confused facial expression.

"What is a satisfactory company?" Alana asked as Glossarais's mind went into overdrive.

"Uh, nothing... it's just how we got here I think, I don't know. Uh yes, Priestess of...FicSitine. That's right..." Gloss said slowly.

Alana's face broke into a smile once again, "Good, we called upon the power of our Goddess to bring you...Two to our world. All of these people are the representatives of their respective races and kingdoms. We have recently come into peace from a Devil invasion, however, we now have almost no infrastructure, and we do not have clean water or enough food to feed the masses that have dispersed into the other cities. And also housing of course."

From there King Desmian interjected, "Look, we know this is sudden for you and we understand that you are not comfortable in your new....bodies, but if you can help us with the construction of a new infrastructure that would be fantastic. We don't expect you to do this for free, or to handle the entire thing, however, if we could work with you to formulate some plans that would be fantastic. As far as labor, the one thing we have a large amount of is manpower, since most of our armies are still congregated outside of our cities following the defeat of the Devil Race. If there is anything you can do to help, Priestess Gloss, that would be incredible. You could save a lot of lives."

"How big of a scale do you need this for, I mean a worldwide infrastructure is not a simple process. I have a feeling Cald and I can do some incredible things with our technology, but I don't know if we can save everyone with the proportions you speak of. Also, I must insist that Cald and I do not split up...We must be near each other, and she is already having a tough time with this whole ordeal as you can see. But if you grant us that then we have no problem helping as much as we can." Glossarai said.

"That should be fine, we aren't expecting you to solve all of our problems of course, but we will give you the labor, authority, and resources we can to provide you with what you need. Will your other priestess need help? She is certainly....lively?" King Desmian said with a nervous smile. It seemed that the strange priestess in front of him had actually taken a moment to breathe, and was now speaking with a slower cadence.

"Ah, yes, she will be fine, I am sure, she just gets worked up sometimes, I will go get her, and we can continue to discuss where you would have us begin. I think we should build a Mega Base to begin gathering resources again. We have a lot of materials in our inventories, but it will only go so far. So yes, let me go grab her." Glossarai said while concentrating. Then, what appeared to be another layer of components snapped over her legs and back as if materializing from nothing.

"Nice I have all my equipment, just need to equip them again." Gloss began to look through her inventory and equipped the hand tools and Exo-suit.

"Now...do the mods still work...how would I activate them...." The priestess stared into the distance before saying, "Just Fly." As if casting a spell. She then was floating nearly 10ft off the ground.

"What was that, a flying spell?" Lord Jaenen asked his aides.

"I don't know my lord, surely none that I have heard of...I also didn't feel any magical power being activated." The aid in mage robes replied.

Before anyone else could add their voice, the priestess seemingly disappeared as a loud "BOOM" followed by an insane suction of wind that followed in her wake. There could be no doubt, the power of these priestesses is unrivaled...

"Well, we need to treat these Priestesses of FicSitine, with the utmost respect. They shall have the honor of staying at the royal palace this evening before they begin tomorrow." King Desmian said to the stunned silence crowd of Aguans, as they observed the unparalleled strength of a Priestess of Industry.

The display of power was beyond what most would call extreme, most flying spells would only go as fast as a carriage, she moved so fast that they lost sight of her. They would think it was a teleport skill, if not for the trail of dust that followed in her wake.

"I think we are gonna return to our territories...." D'zargen said to the open air.

Instantly Glossarai caught up to Cald and dropped her speed to the slowest tier as she approached Cald.

"CALD!!! It's me, calm yourself please!" Gloss said.

"AHHHHHH, GLOSS, I DON'T KNOW!!! I have to get up early for work, that's it, I don't have time for fantasy stuff, that's all there is, my boobs don't hurt from sprinting for so long...." She stopped, realized what she just said, and promptly fainted.

A sigh escaped from Gloss's helmet as she picked up Cald. "Whoah, you aren't heavy at all, not that I would expect you to be...." She says to the unconscious Cald, "But, maybe we are super strong or something."

While still flying she took her friend back to the group.

"Do you mind if I set up our HUB fast? It would give her a moment to rest." Gloss asked the group, which now only consisted of King Desmian, his aides, as well as the Elven group consisting of High Lord Jaenen and his aides, not to mention High Priestess Alana.

"Of course Priestess, would you like some help to take care of her?" Alana asked, with no idea what a HUB was.

"Uh, sure would you hold her for a second?" When she handed the unconscious body to the Priestess, she looked as if it was nothing to carry her either.

Glossarai's mind was always working, always analyzing, but to have a new body, that is capable of things that the old "him" had, such as flight, was making her question everything from the gravity of the planet.

"We should take her helmet off, I can't imagine she can breathe easy." Priestess Alana replied while taking Cald.

"Uhm, just a sec." Gloss turned around and placed a hand on the black cube that used to be the pod that they landed in.

It disappeared.

She then pulled what looked to be an intricate handle to a single-handed crossbow, and pointed it about 20m in front of everyone and a strange noise was heard.

From nothing... a metallic building, that was made of orange plating and steel beams just...came into existence. It was as if they were using an extra-dimensional ring, on a much larger scale.

"Okay our room is in here, do you want me to carry her?" Gloss asked.

With a graceful ease High Priestess Alana just smiled and walked past the still floating Gloss into the HUB and placed her on the lower bed. Everyone else seemed keen to let the ladies handle themselves.

"I think we will be continually surprised by these two priestesses."

"How do I remove her helmet?" Alana asked calmly.

An audible gulp was heard from Gloss as she began to panic..what would they look like, there are all kinds of crazy rumors as to what they might look like.

They surely looked and felt female on the outside, but what would their faces and bodies look like? An aura of fear and nervousness drew the High Priestess's attention.

"It seems as though these bodies were not your own, were they?" Alana asked quietly.

"I know you chose to come here, but you must understand, these were given to you as compensation for coming here, I promise you, that you will not be some hideous abomination or something. You are our Goddess's chosen, she will have treated you well." Alana continued with a smile.

This seemed to relax Gloss, and she replied, "Yeah, this is a bit much, but I am much more comfortable than Caldesan will be, or at least it will take some time for her to get used to being....a her. Also, I am not sure how to remove our helmets, there should be a latch or something." Gloss replied.

Click.

Alana found the latch near the back left ear of the helmet and it spun 15 degrees to the left before she was able to pull it off.

Gloss held her breath, as she watched with wide eyes. This was the first time she saw Caldesan, not just here, but they have never met as males. This is who they are now. What would she look like?

The helmet came off and it revealed an extremely beautiful heart-shaped face, with plump lips and perfectly sculpted eyebrows. Her hair was a beautiful chestnut brown colored hair in a ponytail that seemed to be longer than you would think for what fit in the helmet.

Her eyes were closed and the skin-tight shirt that connected to the helmet went all the way up to her jawline form-fitting, giving her neck a very slim look.

"She's so pretty, take off your helmet Gloss. Don't be afraid." Alana said with a smile while kneeling on the floor next to Caldesan's bunk bed.

Glossarai slowly reached up and found the latch at the bottom of the helmet behind the left ear area, and slowly turned it 15 degrees to the left before pulling it off.

Alana's breath caught as she stared at the same girl, with the same hair, eyebrows, and even extra strands that seemed to not make it into the ponytail, coming swinging down on either side of her face...just like Caldesan.

Her eyes remained closed as she removed the helmet, she raised her eyes to look at Alana's smiling face. It was a comforting sight.

The High Priestess nodded towards the mirror she saw earlier.

Gloss turned to the mirror and her deep amethyst purple eyes locked onto their counterpart in the mirror. The pupil was black, but from the center, the color lightened, as if looking into the depths of a shining gem they seemed to glow with inner power. Her eyes glowed purple.

She touched her cheek while her helmet was in the other hand still. A tear fell, "this is me?" Gloss asked no one in particular.

"I can see that you are happy with your new form, you are truly beautiful, sister," Alana said as she got up and hugged Gloss. It was a loving familiar embrace. She called her sister, but her hug felt as though it was from a mother. Gloss was so overwhelmed, she cried, right on the spot.

She finally got a warm cloth and put it on Caldesan's forehead, just trying to ease her day.

"Why a warm wet cloth?" Alana asked.

"They always do this in movies."

"Movies?"

"Uh, never mind..." Gloss hedged.

In another 15 minutes, Caldesan finally began to stir.

"Ugghh." She slowly opened her eyes, as Gloss removed the towel.

Gloss smiled nervously down at her, hoping she remained calm.

"Wow, you're pretty," Cald said while looking into Glossarai's glowing amethyst eyes.

Gloss snorted, and Alana chuckled from behind Gloss somewhere. "Well, thank you, but we look the same...except for our eyes."

"Don't panic, we have crazy mod powers that you insisted we have installed, so we can build stuff here." Gloss continued in a successful effort to derail Caldesan's swirling thought process before she could wind herself up again.

"What...oh, OH Satisfactory!" She said before noticing a few strands of hair in her peripheral vision.

"There is a mirror over here." A mature feminine voice sounded.

"Caldesan, am I correct? I am High Priestess Alana, It is a pleasure to meet you, sister." Alana said with a smile.

"Sister... I am a chick huh?" She asked while walking to the mirror.

"Whoah...what is with my eyes they are glowing!" Indeed Caldesan's eyes were glowing, as Gloss's were amethyst purple, hers were azure blue, going from a dark cerulean on the edges. She would later find out that the ONLY identifying feature when their HUD isn't up showing their names above their head, is their eyes and personalities.

"Holy shit we are clones, Gloss!" Cald said...excitedly?

"Are you okay with this? I mean we are women now." Gloss replied.

"At least we are cute as hell, and you said the mods work? Which have you tried????" Cald asked.

"Only 'Just Fly'." As she said this she hovered off the ground, not quite hitting her head, but close.

"Oh be careful, please Priestess Gloss," Alana said worriedly, it was clear these two are going to give her a heart attack with their antics.

"Priestess?" Caldesan asked.

"Yes Priestess Cald, may I call you Cald?" Alana continued.

"Priestess...."

"Yes, you two, since you were a gift to this planet from our Goddess, FicSitine, are now at least Priestesses, if not Prophets of our Goddess." Alana said with finality.

"Oh," Cald replied. "What time is it?"

"It's in the afternoon." Alana continued matter-of-factly, she seemed to be ready to answer a lot of questions.

"You guys don't keep track of time?" Glossarai asked curiously.

"Well there are places that do, but it's easier to just approximate the time."

"Sooo, when can we build things?" Caldesan asked before her stomach rumbled loudly.

The High Priestess chuckled before replying, "Well, my dear Cald, we have been cordially invited to dine with the King and The Elven High Councilor at the Palace of Kings in the Human City of Teran-Suore. I say you come stay the night at the palace, then we will direct you tomorrow, where a good place for your "Mega Base" as Gloss called it, can be built. And trust me, people will want to see results before you are given more responsibility." She said with a smile.

For the first time, the worried and nervous looks of wonder and confusion that had been plastered to Calds beautiful face fell. She finally smiled.

"Mega Base? hahaha, Yes! That sounds like a blast!" Caldesan said as she ran and hugged Gloss.

"Gloss!!! We can fix all the problems we had at our last base, and do that incredible smart splitter item Hub I always wanted! Oh man, and I can't wait until we can use some of our "powers." haha" She said while using air quotes for the first time in this world.

"Yes, yes, what other cheats did you put in? If we are to op that might be horrible. I know you got rid of fall damage though..." Gloss replied.

Alana's mind was working in overdrive, the terms they used to casually talk about how that modify the environment, "They must truly be heavenly beings, to change the world around them as they are describing so casually." Alana thought to herself.

"Ladies, I know that this is all new for you here, but I also must insist that you do not use your powers too much, as it could cause fear, especially while staying at the palace tonight. You also might want to change...those are hardly appropriate for Priestesses to wear in the company of royals." Alana said with another knowing smile.

"Fear not sisters, I will bring you to my Temple where we have robes like mine." Alana continued.

The robes she was wearing were almost see-through, and she was draped in them like a silk waterfall constantly flowing around her. It was very revealing, you could see her breast wrap very easily, and it went down to her calves.

The Pioneer's eyes widened, one with fear and the other with curiosity.
