Odity: Uproar and Trial

Odity: Uproar and Trial

Heavenly Realm

Capital City of Gracia

Holy Cemetary

A figure covered head to toe in a dark robe with a mask to cover his face stood in silence as it rained around him, his model seemed to be particularly solemn as he stood before a Grave heavily decorated With tributes and gifts, from flowers and roses to cups of covered wine. One would usually find this weird in most places but in the heavenly realm, it was not weird for one to do put a cup of wine for a tribute as it was a symbol of Brotherhood as well as the bonds shared during the deceased one's life.

This figure, in particular, seemed to be trembling as the rained patterned down on his figure, whether he was grief-stricken or furious was not known to anyone as passersby assumed he was yet another person who refused to let go of Longwei's will. To many people's surprise despite it already being a decade since his tragic passing seeing multiple groups flocking in from all over to pay respects was all too normal, many groups even made it an annual event to pay respects to him.

The figure pulled a dagger out of its cloak and walked towards the grave, it reached its hand out over a cup and squeezed the blade drawing blood, it let its blood fill the cup halfway before retracting its hand and cleaning the blade. After doing this it bandaged its hand and placed the cup on the tribute platform placing the dagger on the cup and kneeling before the Grave. "Father, I couldn't possibly imagine the loneliness you went through in the time of your end, the emptiness in your heart, or the grief you felt for you to take such a risk, but here and now at the foot of your grave I swear by my lifeblood... Your legacy will live on, one way or another", the figure declared in a hoarse and almost metallic voice. The figure pulled its cloak off revealing a female body, she stood at 5 foot 11 wearing black armor that was customized to cling to her body, it was scaly but light to allow for proper mobility, she had bright red hair that was tied up in a ponytail and a creamish skin tone, at her hip was a sheathed longsword as well as a utility belt of a sort with a locket for a belt buckle.

As thunder struck her figure disappeared as quickly as it came leaving behind a blood-stained cloak, that being said she wasn't entirely alone in the Graveyard, a few meters away concealed within the leaves of a tree, resting on one of the branches was yet another figure, this one, however, held an active communication talisman. " Master apprentice Mo, Miss Meili has left the graveyard and is attempting to leave the capital, what are your instructions??", The person concealed in the trees asked. "A smile matters, tail her from a distance and report her actions to me... worst case scenario you are to get close to her undercover and filter her plans to me", A male voice ordered from the Talisman. "As you wish sir", The figure said as it disappeared into the shadow of the tree.

Anyone who heard the name mentioned just now would probably start fangirling on the spot as that was none other than Zhu Meili the only reported child of Zhu Longwei and the only person fit to decide whom among his disciples is fit to take to his seat as the sage of the Central tower, rumor had it that due to a rare encounter these past few years along with her resources and father's knowledge her cultivation base isn't something any meager commoner to compare with as she was said to be a Rank four Heavenly ancestor putting her far ahead of most of her peers.

This very woman however was sprinting at mind-blowing speeds, forget seeing her most people could only get glimpses of her after image as she ran, As for whether she was chasing something down or running from something, that was still to be seen but she was quite determined to leave the city at any cost, regardless of who may try to stop her.

Martial Realm

Fargo Kingdom

Xuan Martial Trouppe territory

Slave camp (007)

"M-Miss Lydia I don't believe it would be all too appropriate for you to accept him", Sato said in a trembling voice, other than outright Jealousy he genuinely felt that such a benefit wasn't befitting of someone fresh out of the slave camp as that would cause a problem with the Martial troupe for obvious reasons. "Did you just second guess my decision??", Lydia asked Sato with a glare, she was well aware of the consequences of her actions and was planning on using those as the first means of her little entertainment.

"I-I wouldn't dare do such... I-I-I just feel that there should be some sort of test to be done to prove the boys worth as a cultivator", Sato said quickly as he very much expected to lose his life for defying Lydia. Lydia glared at him for a few seconds before sighing and looking towards Longwei. "Elder Sato isn't wrong, If you are interested in becoming my disciple then I advice you to accept his suggestion of a trial of sorts", Lydia said to Longwei trying in vain to hide the disappointment in her voice.

"I wish to accept the trial... but I also refuse to become your disciple", Longwei said with a slightly prolonged bow. At first, Lydia's expression lit up hearing that he accepted just for her excitement to be doused in cold water by his second statement. "W-Whatever do you mean you refuse to become my disciple??", Lydia asked in a visibly shaken up tone, she was completely taken aback by his rejection as she couldn't think of a reason for anyone to reject him him her mentorship much less a Brat from the slave camp.

"Simple, I do not wish to become your disciple because it wouldn't make sense for someone of your standing and power to teach a slave, rather I wish to have my title as a slave retracted and to join the martial Trouppe as a normal disciple of the inner court", Longwei explained staring Lydia dead in the eye as he said so watching as her expression became increasingly grim. "Listen here you pompous brat, who do you think you are to make such demands of a Councilwoman!? Most would beg for the chance to meet her gaze much less your arrogant attitude!!", Yue screamed in genuine fury, she deeply respected the hierarchy of the Martial troupe and refuse to stand for this boy disrespecting it.

"Do you plan to do anything about my demands??", Longwei asked with a glare, Lydia was still shocked but decided to watch the development for herself, while she never imagined rejection she may let it slide if he was to put up a good show now. "You know what sure, I will conduct your trial with sect standards personally, If you pass your demands will be met if not you will be executed on the spot for disrespect of the troupes!!", Yue declared in ager truthfully she was still willing to accept the decision had long quietly gone through with the recruitment, but since he had the nerve to reject it publicly and still make demands she definitely wouldn't let it slide. "Sure you do that, But on the instance, I pass this trial I will gain the right to challenge you once for your position in the troupe regardless of my entry status that is valid for two years", Longwe responded with a smirk.

This response truly put a smile on Lydia's face as this was exactly the tension and drama she wanted, since he went out of his way to screw himself over she would forget about the rejection, if he kept her entertained all would be well between them, As she thought of this however she noticed that Longwei's glare was then redirected to her and this time laced with a hint of killing intent, not the type that made you feel fear immediately no, it was the type that gave you the impression that you were looking death in the eye, referring to it as fear was a huge understatement.
