A new savage Beginning
Not exactly according to plan

Not exactly according to plan

Sadanis POV.

Annoyance flared deep inside of him, when another pawn of his grand scheme fell to that damnable Mark, Marlin whatever that bug called himself.

It was morbidly fascinating to him, how just a couple of years with sickening love, had morphed that man into what was considered, ‘Respectable’, he spat a sizzling blob of acid onto one of the souls eternally bound to his domain.

It whimpered but as satisfying as had been in the past it could not compare to how he craved that soul, of that bug. O how tender it was, how susceptible to pain it was, ow the agony he would be able to inflict on that soul if it caved. He watered at the mouth.

“You were and are Pathetic!” He rewatched that moment. He hated everything about it. Marlin had snapped the binding ties between him and Thror. There had been none of the hooks, Sadanis had assumed would be there for him that needed to pull Marlin further down, Marlin didn’t feel hatred, he felt righteous fury,

“ugh how i hate righteous fury”,

there hadn’t been any of the pleasure Marlin felt, when he watched his wife, “a sliver of fucking pity and understanding”?

Sadanis, felt like throwing up, it was utterly disgusting.

The worst part, Thror had been inflicted with, deep ‘guilt’, ‘sorrow’, and comprehension of his wrongness in his final moments.

Sadanis flinched, ‘ugh how did that little shit subconsciously do that’? The soul of that particular bug had been slated to be his. Now it would be immediately recycled into the karmic cycle. It would be reborn as a poverty struck child, no power, mediocre life, not achieving anything, those hooks made the soul untouchable unless he diverted resources to reclaim Thror. Sadanis didn’t feel like it.

That particular soul had been an easy investment, a safe investment. He had gotten a profit, 2 souls in particular had jumped to the opportunity bestowed upon them, he smirked, those two ladies were rather cunning and devious in their new life. Just for that alone, he was tempted to bring Thror back to his fold,

However it was time to cut that soul off, too much investment would be required for not enough return.

”hmmm perhaps if i send one of those ladies to mess with Marlin… no he won’t fall for that and his Mistress is now tied to him, that route is blocked… what about the parents? That disgusting woman…”. Sadanis started constructing a devious plan, perhaps he could place a small hook into that man’s heart with a torturous end to his mother, “hmmmm that champion is a bit of a problem”. He muttered to himself.

”still thinking about Marlin? If i didn’t know any better id say you are in love”. A booming voice reverberated through Sadanis, how he hated that voice.

”go away Artis, im busy” Sadanis hissed.

”we are always busy, I am here to warn you,” Artis grinned wide.

”ow im touched” Sadanis, Drawled.

“You have send 3 major challenges his way, and if you continue, I can send him a gift”.

Artis smirk fell a bit when Sadanis spoke with Sickening Glee.

”Torren was sent because of that brat’s own actions, I had nothing to do with it. Besides Torren is a Cultist of my Beloved I, don’t touch my Beloved’s Pets.

“Torren was a direct response because of how your wife Meddled so much with his love life”.

This time it was Artis who smirked “Nope all she did was ‘gift’ the girl Milly with a slightly higher capacity of social perspective, it was a ‘trivial influence’ merely an idea that Milly jumped to wholeheartedly”.

Sadanis scoffed, “There is no way that was a ‘trivial influence’, I personally modified that Message that was sent to her, to include instigating words of Rage, there is no way that particular Soul became so understanding”.

Artis chuckled even more, “That’s what makes it so Delicious, you sent her a ‘Mayor influence’ and that got beat with Nirvana’s trivial influence’. That’s what’s got you so pissed.

It’s time to admit. Marlin might have your blessing and is exposed to all your seductions. But the repulsion of it all resonates all the way to the core of his soul.

That resolve he keeps fortifying, is akin to some of the champions under me”.

Sadanis Cackled gleefully. “Yes but it all hinges on his dependence on his lovely mother and his lovely bride to be”.

”Well you can’t touch the Bride to be, she is technically under your protection, and pray tell, how in The TERRIBLE GOD’S unknown name, are you going to mess with the wife, of one of the most favored of Lumos?”

Artis boomed his laughter and left.

Sadanis hated this, he didn’t have the resources, his and his beloved the goddess of Lust and Depravity Pantheon’s were shrinking as of late, he needed to regroup. He needed to groom the Dark Lord’s who were a safe bet, he had a surplus of fate to spend on them. He sighed, he didn’t mind going slow, preferred it even. However the fate investment and return ratio of Marlin falling for him would he been so Ludicrous he still felt the pull, the greed for all that fate.

Marlin was ever so slowly becoming a paragon of something Sadanis wanted nothing off. So much fate had he wasted on Making sure Marlin would be Born under The ominous star.

No time to cut his losses, he couldn’t risk showing the other god’s how him and Sarrtha had figured out a way, to game the system. How stupidity simple it had been,

None of the God’s understood what the ‘TERRIBLE’ one was doing, He himself didn’t fully grasp it either, that was the problem, you might be a deity and eternal, you weren’t omnipotent, Omnipresent or Omniscient like the ‘TERRIBLE’. Sure in your own little domain but not in outside of it.

Many things were Missed by the god’s, overlooked.

Marlin had not been the First Soul Fallen away from the ‘earth’ universe. “Ugh what a mundane name!”

But it had been one particular soul the one Responsible for the first Calamity war, that had sworn itself to Sadanis’s cause, that same soul now ravaged in the infernal domains as his champion.

It had shown Sadanis the potential of such souls, to have a sliver, a microscopical portion of the omnipresent, still infused it with all the properties of ‘the terrible’. Unusable by the soul itself but Not Sadanis. The influx of Fate had been astronomical. But alas, although this Marlin was a foul mouthed douchebag, he had an unkillable conscience.

”this is going to set me back 20 years. Ah well, not the end of the world that i hoped for i guess”, he thought to himself.
