Dan looked around him and saw that the expressions of the people there seemed even worst than yesterday.
"They seemed worried and afraid..." It seemed that he wasn't the only one who noticed it because soon Leonard murmured quietly enough for only them to hear him.
The others just nodded without saying anything.
But even though they didn't say anything, they all understood one thing, the insects they were going to fight at night weren't going to be easy to deal with.
"The sun is setting soon, after less than an hour I think, can you tell me how many hours it usually takes before insects starts appearing next to the village?" Dan turned to Alexander and asked.
That was an important point because it showed how much time they still had.
Alexander didn't have to think at all before answering:
"Between two to three hours, it can be longer or shorter."
"I guess they only come from the front right?" Dan continued his questions.
"Yes mainly, but not just that, the whole front part of the village, some insects even attack from the sides, but they would mainly be concentrated on the front." Alexander confirmed while nodding his head.
"Can you tell us the types of insects we will be against, like some which have special attacks like the Sticky Beetle and its sticky spit, and also how to know what type they are?" Dan asked the question which he had thought of way before.
"I will mention a few which you should really concentrate on, the first are the Armored Ant,a weird type of insects which looked like an ant but actually aren't, they also have a strong brown shell, they are insects which likes to spend time alone and don't have a colony like normal ants, if seen, it's better to deal with them as soon as possible without letting them get close to the village walls because they can destroy them with a strong charge.
"The second one you should be careful about is the Red Mosquito, it is a blood red mosquito which can turn a full grown human to a bag of bones in less then a minute. You should also know that dealing with any flying insects should be a propriety because of all the damage they can and will do.
"You should also be on the lookout for Blood Thrower, it is a big Beetle you won't be able to miss as soon as it gets closer, it has a body like a normal Sticky Beetle but much bigger, when attacked or when it feels threatened it releases a blood red fog, the red fog is poisonous for both humans and insects so it should be killed as soon as possible and first attacked when there's no human around it..."
Alexander mentioned those and many others and he was serious in that, because if Dan's group wanted to really help, knowing about all those types was necessary.
Dan listened carefully and concentrated on all the details, he was going to tell his group about all of them after later when they would be alone.
Alexander soon left because the sun was setting and he had a lot to deal with.
When he left Nero turned his head to Dan and asked:
"What were you talking about? You two seemed way too serious."
"I just asked him about the insects we should take note of that's all, come on I will tell you all about it when we reach the house." Dan answered while heading towards the house Alexander gave them.
When they entered, they all set and looked at Dan who started after sorting his thoughts:
"Alexander mentioned some insects we should be careful of, but before telling you about them, I want to say that you should be extra alart on the battlefield later, you should always have a clear view to what's around you, and of your teammates, if they need help help them, also for those that have superpowers try not to use them if you can, but if using your ability means being able to help a teammate then just use it, understood?" He announced seriously
The people who were going to the battlefield all nodded their heads.
Seeing that Dan nodded and added:
"Ok, returning to the insects, first there is..."
After telling them about all what Alexander told him he added:
This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.
"Alexander mentioned those because he thinks that we have an idea about how to deal with normal insects, but he doesn't know that we are actually from another world entirely and we don't know anything about normal insects and how to deal with them, which is considered common sense here.
"So I will just mention them generally so you can get a major idea about them, first there are going to be many Sticky Beetles and other types like it, I already mentioned how those look so I won't mention it again, another type you should be careful about are almost any type of spiders, whenever you see one you should be extra careful, they have different abilities, like jumping, their silk, poison, speed and many others, and all of them are deadly.
"An other type you should be careful about are any colorful insects those are probably poisonous, also those with hair covering their bodies, don't let them touch you because theirs a chance you're going to regret it, also this might sound obvious but don't get bitten, most insects have strong bite power, and most of those that don't are poisonous so be careful.
"Fortunately those that will be heading towards us are those big enough to be noticed by the ones turning berserker in the depths of the forest, so we shouldn't worry about the small poisonous ones which can kill us in just a one bite or sting..."
Dan talked for a while trying to summarize any general knowledge he had about that Area.
The others listened carefully because they knew that that knowledge can save their lives a few hours later.
After he was done he turned to Leonard and Thomas and said while standing up:
"Thoams Leonard you two follow me, bring those materials with you."
The two nodded and followed behind him while holding the dragon's teeth, scales, skin and bones.
Dan soon reached the village chief house, there was a guard standing there who Dan talked to before he entered the house and told the old man that Dan wanted to meet him, he soon left the house and said that they could enter.
Dan nodded at him before turning and telling the other two to follow him inside.
When he entered he saw the old man waiting for him, seeing him he asked while lifting his brows:
"Alexander came to me and said that you brought another seven people with you, but don't you think that just another seven won't do much change?"
"From what I heard from you and Alexander, they are going to be enough if it is going to be as dangerous as it was in the last few days, or even a little bit more dangerous." Dan answered calmly while stepping aside so the old man can see Leonard and Thomas.
Turning his attention to them and what they were holding, the old man asked:
"Who are they?" He seemed quite interested in them and what Dan was going to say.
"His a blacksmith who followed us on our journey and his apprentice, they want to use one of your forges to forge some weapons, can we do that?"
Before Dan was afraid that the old man won't accept but as they were entering the village today, he saw that the village had two forges, making him think that the chance of the old man accepting was higher.
"Forge?... Ok, it won't be used right now anyway. Just tell Alexander about it." The old man thought for a bit before nodding.
"Thanks a lot for that, can I also ask you for weapons to arm five people, the weapons we have aren't that good and the better ones we have the more help we can give." Dan thanked him and while he was at it he asked him about weapons.
They didn't have that much good weapons on the ship, the best were the sword and axe Thomas made, after them there was a big hammer Mad Dog had, it was a weapon he had with him for ages and he was most comfortable with it.
His follower, Brandon also had a sword with him.
Except those, tony, Jordan, Richard, even Katherine and Robin were only using the spears Thomas made.
And even though those were good having something better was always welcomed.
"Just tell Alexander about this too, he will deal with it." the old man waved his hand as if that wasn't important.
"That was all thanks a lot, we will try our best to help you tonight." Dan said sincerely.
Seemingly feeling the sincerity in Dan's words the village head just smiled and said:
"I wish nothing bad happen to you or any of your friends."
After paying farewell Dan left the village chief home, he found a person he had an impression of and asked him about Alexander's whereabouts and he soon found him.
Hearing Dan's request and that he had already asked the old man who approved, Alexander didn't say anything more before leading them to the blacksmith.
"Here it is, use it as much as you want, we still have the other one, I will also send you the weapons soon." He said while leaving.
"Then Thomas, here it is, you can finally start working." Dan smiled to Thomas after Alexander left.
Thomas just nodded before saying:
"Thanks, I will do my best finish it as fast as possible while making sure that it won't be a waste of materials even if it's not a soul weapon."
Seeing the serious expression on the big guy's face Dan just nodded turned his head to Leonard and patted him:
"Make sure to help Thomas as much as you can, and also protect him in the case of any danger appearing, and if you can't deal with it with just your body's strength, you can use your ability."
Leonard nodded and promised him that he would do his best before starting to get things ready under Thomas's orders, seeing that Dan decided to leave.
Heading straight to the house where the others were he found that Alexander had already sent the weapons.
What came as a pleasant surprise to him was that he didn't just send weapons for the five which didn't have good ones, he also sent one armor for each person of the group.
Lifting one he found that it was really light, and after trying a bit of power on it, he found that it was also quite hard and could take some hits.
"Wow those are truly something!" While he was still studying one, he heard Nero's voice.
"Yes, and they look pretty too." Katherine added with a smile.
