Vincent did not expect to strengthen his blood so quickly; he thought it would take a long time to strengthen it, just like what happened with his mana gathering. However, the opposite occurred.
‘Hmm...Is strengthening the five parts relatively easy? I thought I would take several days to strengthen at least one part, but now in two days I've finished two from five of them. Should I consider this very fast, or is it a normal thing?’
‘ from Randolph’s talk, it seems it’s not an easy thing, am I talent ? Maybe. Anyway, like that I stile have three parts, and I can creat my spiritual palace, I am exited to what will happen when that happen”
Vincent was thinking so deeply that he didn't notice the sun beginning to set. His body was exhausted from the events with that bear, and after strengtgen his blood, he felt some strength, but there was still some fatigue lingering.
‘Well, it's better for me to get some rest, but I have to be careful if the bear comes out.’
Vincent closed his eyes, emptied his mind of all thoughts, and fell asleep.
...
He opened his eyes and could see the sun rising. Although he had slept for a long time, he felt as if he had only slept for five minutes. That's why he still feels a bit exhausted.
*Doom!*
His thoughts were interrupted by a loud sound coming from inside the cave. Vincent thought the bear had woken up or that it would come out, but the surprise was that after several minutes, nothing happened; no other sound followed that loud noise.
‘What happened inside? Should I come in? Well, I can run faster than a bear with a foot injury.’
The bear's injury reassured him that he could survive even without weapons or defense. He had a few ideas on how he could defeat this bear, the first being to tire it out, which was relatively the easiest solution given its injury. Tiring it out was quite easy.
The cave was deep and damp, as if there were a sea at its end; there were some drops of water on the ceiling. The cave was neither branched nor wide; it felt more like a path, in fact. Vincent walked for a while until it became difficult to see due to the lack of light. The sound of water droplets falling to the ground came from both directions, echoing throughout the cave. Suddenly, Vincent saw a large body lying on the ground. From the look of it, he could tell it was a bear, but he thought it was sleeping. Then he saw it trying to move, but it kept falling to the ground. That was when Vincent understood something.
‘Oh...Of course.Bears cannot heal their wounds and do not know first aid; it seems that his injury has worsened to the point of being in a deplorable state.’
Vincent walked close to the bear, and surprisingly, it did nothing; it remained lying on the ground and seemed to be looking at him. He couldn't tell if the bear had its eyes closed or was looking at him due to the low light, but it didn't matter; this was his chance now.
Stolen story; please report.
A view of the bear's body as it searched for something specific until it saw it; the silver blade was the only shiny object visible in this dark place, making it relatively easy to identify.
He picked up the silver blade from the ground and walked towards the bear's head. In his world, people like him had to be prepared to kill anyone and always be prepared for the worst scenarios, but Vincent and a minority of others like him, had some rules they imposed on themselves, such as not killing children, women, and the elderly, and if it wasn't necessary, they wouldn't even kill adult men, unlike other criminals and assassins who would even kill plants from behind.
Killing an animal was no different from killing a human. There was a significant difference, yes. Although both are living beings, one of them is easy to deal with and has simple needs, while the other is better left to reach the moon than to try to understand their mindset. But killing a human is still harder than killing another being.
Vincent took a deep breath and raised the silver blade.
"Don't look at me like that; you were the one who attacked me first."
Vincent said that just before the silver blade descended quickly and plunged into the bear's head, blood spilled from its head and some of it splattered onto his relatively pale face. He pulled the blade out of the bear's head with relative difficulty and looked at the bear for a moment.
‘Killing an animal feels strange indeed, and killing it in another world is even stranger. Is this the first thing I kill in this world? That’s not bad.’
Vincent mocked himself. He looked away from the bear's corpse and saw that there was still a path behind its body. He thought that the end of the cave would be where the bear slept, but it seemed that the cave was not finished yet.
...
‘Damn, does this road even have an end?’
Vincent walked into a time unknown to him, feeling as if he had been walking for hours, yet he could not see any clear end to the road. After a while, he stepped on something strange; he felt that he had stepped on something wet and a little rough. He looked down but couldn't see anything clearly because of the darkness, so he bent down and reached out his hand, touching the object he had stepped on.
‘Hmm... Is this grass? Yes, it's a plant or something like that, but why is there grass in a cave?’
Vincent had questions about why there was grass in a cave like this. He had the idea that there might be a nearby exit and that the grass had spread into the cave, but the problem was that there was still no light.
...
After a little while, he saw a faint light in front of him, as if it were hope at the end of the road. The light was becoming clearer and larger; it seemed like sunlight because of its yellow color.
‘It seems that I am getting closer to the exit.’
Vincent approached the light and emerged from the cave; a bright light greeted him, causing him to shut his eyes. He felt as if he would go blind if he didn't do so. He mentioned that when he came out of that cave a week ago.
Vincent slowly opened his eyes, and finally he was able to see the giant trees around him. It seems he has returned, but there is something strange.
Vincent could see the trees around him; they were in front of him like a path. Then he could see a relatively large lake, but he couldn't see its end from his current position. He walked a little until he reached the lake. The lake was circular in shape, and he couldn't see its bottom. He could see some rocks that were visible on the surface of the lake, and its area was large enough for two people to sit on it.
Vincent was amazed by the sight. The lake seemed as if it had come out of a dreamland or something like that, with the sunlight, the blue color of the lake, and the grass and trees surrounding it; it truly felt like a land of dreams. While he was examining the lake with his gaze, he saw something that caught his attention. Almost in the middle of the lake, there was a massive rock that almost resembled a small island. On top of it, there was a body sitting at its edge.
The person had very long hair that was blue like a lake, their skin was white, and their curves were alluring. The body had a blue tail with some purple fins.
‘Mermaid!’
Vincent was surprised by the sight in front of him. It was the first time he saw a mermaid. The natural reaction would be to hide or walk away, but Vincent remained as he was, looking at her. The mermaid felt eyes staring at her; she turned and saw him standing at the edge of the vast sea. Her eyes widened as if she hadn't expected what she was seeing, and suddenly, in a swift motion, she jumped and plunged into the lake. After a little while, a pure white hand emerged from the water and grabbed Vincent's foot, pulling him down into the lake.
‘You crazy whore.!’
