After jumping from the window of the school clinic, which was on the second floor. He jumped back from the ground back to the window on the second floor. He grabbed back and he looked at the shocked faces of his friends.
He raised an eyebrow, realizing what he did was too much. “I should explain something first.” he said, scratching his head. Then he dropped down from the window, approaching the three of them.
“You’re insane…” Ivan said, smiling as he shook his head.
While Qoka stared and chuckled awkwardly. And on the side, there was Qoka with her eyes wide open as well as her forced smile. It wasn’t pleasant to say at least.
Shac immediately realized that it was too much even as a joke. He bowed down and apologized, “I’m sorry everyone. That was the first thing that came to my mind to convince the three of you.” he said and straightened his body to look back at them.
“My body changed. It physically changed. There are other things that this body could do.” he continued, revealing the changes in his body because of the curse.
I wasn’t actually sure that it was still happening to my body even after I looped back. The only time I realized that my body changed was when I managed to eat one of the eggs.
But this proves it… My body is still affected by the curse…
“But even so… I don’t think it’s necessary for you to do that out of nowhere…” Qoka said, worried about his state.
“Well… I can’t deny that one…” he smiled awkwardly. “But as you can see, My body can jump that high. From the ground to the second floor with ease.” he said, hopping in the room and showing his incredible jump height.
“That changes everything.” Ivan said.
“You’re right.” he said as he stopped from hopping. “This was not the only thing, as I also could run very fast.”
The three of them stayed quiet, each having their thoughts about the situation. But they were all lost on how should they process what Shac was telling them.
“So, you can jump high as well as run fast, right?” Ivan asked.
He nodded in response. “That’s one of the changes I learned about my body.”
“Then what about this danger you are talking about?” he added. “Surely it’s not as dangerous as what we think right?” he said, turning his head to both Evie and Qoka.

“As much as I want to say that. There’s no other way to describe it other than that, it was way more dangerous than you can think of. It’s much worse than that. To put it simply…” he paused and looked straight at them. “I died.”
“You died?” the three of them whispered.
“Now, that’s too far to be a joke Shac.” Qoka said, frowning at him. “Even if you say that, that doesn’t explain why you’re still here.”
“She’s right.” Ivan agreed. “Besides, saying you died doesn’t explain anything. You should tell us directly what happened.”
“What year are we from right now?” he asked.
“2022” Ivan responded, “What is it for?”
“I am from the year 2024.” he revealed. “I am from two years in the future, and in that future, the two of you didn’t exist.” he said as he took a glance at both Evie and Qoka. “You Evie and Qoka didn’t exist in that year.”
“What do you mean we didn’t exist?” Evie asked, who was quiet the whole time. “You mean like we died or what?”
“That’s the thing that confused me the most. It’s because as far as I know, Ivan didn’t have a sister, nor do I remember that I have another friend other than Ivan, which is Qoka.” he explained, but before they could say anything back, he stopped them.
“Before anything else, I’m not trying to say that both of you didn’t exist. At that time, I was clueless about the existence of the two of you. Knowing that Ivan himself never told me about him having a sister, then that should explain why.” he continued, realizing that there were still a lot of things he couldn’t quite understand.
“I didn’t simply forget anything. I was totally not aware that both you Evie and Qoka existed. Why did that happen… I don’t know it myself.” he said, regretful. “Not until recently…”
“What happened?” Ivan asked.
“I wouldn’t be able to explain it. But to put it simply, there was a reason why I forgot both of them. It’s because they were cursed.” he explained, further confusing them with another thing.
“I’m sure these things sounded ridiculous. But even so, I wanted the three of you to at least hear me out.” he continued as he looked at them.
“Well…” Ivan muttered as he glanced at both Evie and Qoka. “If you could explain everything in a way we could understand it. It would be much helpful.”
Shac bowed down again. “Thank you… I will do everything…”
Qoka sighed heavily and approached him. “We could tell that you are struggling. And…” she looked away from him, hiding her embarrassment. “I would gladly help you.”
“Thank you…” he said to Qoka. “But as I said, I haven’t finished telling the whole story.”
“He’s right, he hasn’t told us yet about the problem Qoka.” Ivan said, scratching his head. “Tell us more about it Shac.” he continued, his voice was more serious this time.
Oh… He raised an eyebrow, surprised by the change in tone of Ivan. Shac was surprised to see Ivan being serious. It reminded him of the last time he saw him.
He was really the same. I couldn’t believe I forgot about them.
He smiled and chuckled softly. “You’re getting serious now Ivan huh?”
Ivan grinned in response. “You’ve changed. You are not really the same Shac that we knew. But then, I don’t hate it.”
Qoka looked at both of them with confusion, then he turned her head to Evie trying to get answers from her. Evie then shrugged her shoulders, saying that she wasn’t sure about it either.
“I need the three of you to lend me your ears right now.” he said, calling the attention of the three of them. He took a deep breath, and continued, “All of this happened not a long time ago. It’s still fresh in my mind, so I hope you listen carefully as I’m going to tell everything from the start.”
The three of them nodded in response.
“I am going to tell you about the curse. And how I died multiple times during that time.”
