Today is my birthday, but there's no celebration. For immortal beings like us, a birthday isn't worth celebrating because we can live up to trillions of years, after all.
I was sitting cross-legged on my training ground when I heard footsteps approaching me.
"Happy birthday, senior brother Xingyu." Upon turning my head, I was greeted with a smile from a pretty young girl. She's around the same age as me. She has a red colored hair and she wore a red daoist robe.
"You don't have to congratulate me, you know, Mo'er." I replied back with a gentle smile.
The girl in front of me is Shen Mo. She's not really a family member. She just took the surname 'Shen' because she became an official core disciple of the Boundless Sea Immortal Island.
This girl is my childhood sweetheart. I have fallen in love with her when I was four years old, and our feelings turned out to be mutual, so everyone in the island treated her as my future fiance.
"Well, that might be how most people think, but I personally think that it's important to celebrate birthdays hehe."
"Hmm, I agree with that." I replied. "By the way, since it's my birthday, father decided to give me a mission to gain experience."
"What a coincidence! I'll also have to go down to the lower realms to gain some experience. I might be back in a few years." Mo'er said happily.
"Alright, I'll miss you." I said.
I don't know why, but ever since being reincarnated, my mentality seemed to have reverted back into that of a child. I, who normally wouldn't be inlove with someone so young, have fallen.
The motivation for revenge is slowly fading away because of it. I have to remind myself everyday to kill my enemies because if I don't, I might lose motivation.
But well, I guess this isn't so bad. A normal life, just like what I always dreamed of.
"Don't worry, I won't leave forever. I'm yours, after all..." Mo'er leaned close to me as she said that and whispered into my ear. ".. my Xingyu~"
She kissed my cheeks after that. I was shocked by the sudden action, resulting me into teleporting a short distance away from her by accident.
She couldn't react, after all, unlike monstrous geniuses like me and Liuyan, Mo'er is just an average prodigy. Her realm is only at the 6th Stage Heavenly Immortal Realm.
"You're too timid, senior brother hehe. Well, I have to go now, the elders other disciples are waiting for me."
I replied with a smile and waved at her as she left.
Later that day, I decided to ask father about Mo'er's mission. It turns out they selected 10 disciples to each go into different lower worlds.
They have to hide their identities as people of the Upper World and also suppress their cultivation into the Core Formation Realm. They should tey their best and survive in the lower realms and gain life and death experience for 10 years.
The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.
Only when they reach the 10 year mark can they return here. And if they die, they can still be revived using the remnant souls they left on the island.
I still hope nothing dangerous happen though.

A few hours have passed since I said my goodbye to Mo'er.
I am now infront of the clan hall's throne, with father sitting at the top. And unlike before, many clan elders have now gathered at the side.
"Xingyu, as your first mission, you are to suppress your cultivation and venture the lower realm!" father said with a dignified tone. He is acting like a real Island Master now.
"But why, father? If you say so, wouldn't it have been better if I went together with Shen Mo and the others?" I asked with a confused tone.
I really am confused. Wouldn't it have been better that way?
"No. Don't forget, Xingyu. You are my son. The prince of the Shen Immortal Clan. If the fact that you went to the lower realms with suppressed cultivation go public, wouldn't that only make you an easy target for any enemies?"
"The Patriarch is right, Xingyu. Your departure is only known to us elders and your parents. This way, you won't get into any danger." an elder added.
I came to realization after that. They're right, their decision does make sense.
"And Xingyu, the world you are heading to is quite peculiar. It's located at the edge of the universe, and the residents doesn't posses any cultivation realm whatsoever. Instead, they use a power called 'Magic'."
Magic!?
My heart raced after hearing that word. In my past life, I was summoned to be a hero in another world with the use of magic.
Is it possible that the world where Everglade Kingdom is located is that said lower realm!?
No! Don't get over excited, Xingyu. There are probably plenty of magic based worlds in the universe. I have to keep calm.
I thought that as I gripped my chest.
While I was lost on my thoughts, father continued.
"This world is the least dangerous and risky one. Your mother picked it for you because the people here are less cruel than the rest of the lower cultivation worlds."
Father said that with a sigh. He massaged her temples and looked very troubled.
"Hahaha! Madam Yulan is really as overprotective as ever!" an elder remarked as he grabbed his beard.
"Yes, this is the condition she gave me to allow Xingyu to go on a lower realm mission." my father replied; still troubled.
"hahaha.." Meanwhile, I only scratched the back of my head and laughed awkwardly.
After that, I did my preparations.
There are rules on this mission. Unlike the others, mine seems to be different.
Since our Boundless Sea Immortal Island is considered a Righteous Sect, my mission is to go to that lower world and kill the most evil being that resides in that current era.
The rules are simple. The clan won't give me any information about that world, and I have to gather all the information myself as a part of training. I have to achieve all with my own abilities.
I also have to suppress my cultivation. Unlike the others, I have to supress mine into the Foundation Establishment Realm, since that world is considered very weak. With my current realm, I can even destroy a thousand planets.
The only problem for me is that I only know high level cultivation techniques. I won't be able to use any offensive or defensive powers if I reduce my realm to the Foundation Establishment.
But they said it's part of my training, sigh~
It's time for me to depart, and my parents came to send me off. Liuyan didn't come, she's probably busy cultivating.
"My dear, be careful, okay? If anything dangerous happens, immediately remove the restrictions on your cultivation." my mother said as she hugged me real tight. I hugged her back too.
She looked young as ever. If no one knew us, they'd probably think that we're siblings.
"Don't worry mom, I won't die that easily. I will come back." says the guy who died very easily once before.
"Promise?" my mother raised her pinky finger.
"Promise." I wrapped my pinky finger around her own.
"Well, I will send you off now, Xingyu." father said after our interaction.
He activated some sort of technique on me that made my body glow golden.
"Stay safe, my son."
After father said those words, my body began to dissipate into light particles and shot out towards the sky.

In the middle of the night, when everyone was asleep, unknown to their knowledge.
Into the dark sky, a golden shooting star descended into the world, and landed into the forest.
However, no one knew about it..
Except for one person.
