Chapter 6 - The Mysterious Samurai

I turned around to find the source of the voice. There, I saw a figured covered in armor. A samurai's armor, to be exact.

The figure held two samurai katanas on each hand, and a red glow can be seen through it's helmet's eyes.

"I should be the one asking that. Who are you? Are you one of the so-called Demon Lord's men?" I replied to the figure.

The figure's helmet looked like a demon, so I couldn't help but suspect. Is this figure the leader of those goblins trying to sneak up inside the castle?

"So you won't answer huh? Well, I don't want to get in trouble, so I'll take my leave." the samurai figure said as it ran away.

Ofcourse, I won't let it escape. There's no way I would let someone sneak up on me for no reason and then get away with it! I might even be able to find clues about the Demon Lord if I catch it, and my reputation will soar. I can achieve my vengeance sooner if I have a wide influence and more allies!

I ran after the figure, going towards the forest. The figure seemed to have noticed me, then, a sudden burst of fire appeared on the figure's feet, making it accelerate even more.

"Don't think you can escape!"

After saying that, I activated my skill [Weapon Telepathy] and stepped on top of my great sword. The Great Sword flew very fast; almost catching up with the samurai. Meanwhile, I was laying on my chest against the sword, holding tightly so I wouldn't fall.

After a few minutes of chasing, we reached a wide grassland. The samurai figure stopped on it's tracks and faced me.

I also stopped a few meters away.

Now, we are standing face to face.

"You really wouldn't let me escape huh?" the figure said.

"Ofcourse I won't." I replied.

"I guess I have no choice but to fight!"

Before I could even react, the figure already drew out both of it's katanas and ran towards me.

Flames appeared on the left katana and a highly pressurized water appeared on the left katana.

My eyes widened, but good thing I reacted just in time. I drew my great sword and used it as a shield, blocking the opponent's attack. After that, I jumped back to gain distance.

I then used my skill [Weapon Telepathy] to control all my weapons and attack the samurai from a long distance.

Royal Road is the home of this novel. Visit there to read the original and support the author.

The figure seemed to be surprised, but before my weapons could reach it, the figure stabbed both it's katanas on the ground, and four huge metal walls appeared all around the figure. It blocked my attack.

Before I could even retrieve my weapons, a bunch of tree roots suddenly rosed up from the ground and tangled all of them.

It was then that I realized. First was Fire and Water. Now, Metal and Wood? In taoism, aren't they like... one of the Five Elements?

Five Elements.. where have I seen that before?

That's right! Five Elements Grand Magic, Elemental Swordsmaster. The figure in front of me right now is a swordsman that can control elements. Wasn't that Yui's status!? Could it be...!?

The figure jumped out of it's metal walls and ran straight towards me; ready to attack.

"Wait! Is that you, Yui!?" I asked loudly, making my helmet disappear along the way, revealing my face.

The figure stopped in it's tracks and removed it's helmet as well. And as I suspected, it was Yui.

"Asuka! I'm so sorry for trying to hurt you!" Yui ran towards me and gave me a hug. She gave me an apology.

"I'm sorry too, I shouldn't have been too impulsive." I replied, giving her a hug too.

"It's fine. By the way, what were you doing? I couldn't sleep, and I heard some noises, so I decided to check it out. Annddd.. I ended up fighting around 30 goblins hehe. I'm level 11 now~" Yui said as she scratched her head with embarrassment.

"Oh, I did the same thing, however, my opponent was around 20 goblins. And I'm still at level 8." I replied shyly.

"Oh, thank god you're safe, Asuka! I don't know what to do anymore if I lose another friend!" Yui hugged me tightly, a drop of tears flowed on her eyes. "I feel so lonely already! I miss to Earth!"

"There, there. Don't worry anymore, okay? I'm here for you." I said that as I patted Yui's cute little head.

She's the only one left that I trust in this world.

"Say, Asuka. Do you want to take revenge?" Yui asked suddenly.

"Wha!?" I couldn't help but be speechless.

"I think it's obvious hehe. Well, atleast for me."

"Well, yes. I will take revenge." I replied with a resolute expression.

"Alright then! I will help you! Jin is also my best friend y'know!" Yui said with a smile, offering me a handshake.

However, I can tell that her smile is only a cover to hide her sadness. She's a strong girl hehe.

"Alright. I will gladly accept your support. Let's become the strongest together, and take revenge." I accept her handshake and said with resolution. "The night is still young. Do you want to level up more?"

"Good idea!"

And so, basking under the moonlight, we continued to hunt more low level monsters.

Meanwhile, above the clouds, or you can call heavens.

The surroundings are filled with white clouds, and everything is as bright as day.

On the middle of this all, a golden table with a chessboard stood. On each side were golden chairs.

On each chair, two women were sitting, playing the board game.

"Oh? Looks like my cute little heroes have decided to move." A beautiful woman with silky golden hair said with a smile.

"They're still weak though. They aren't enough to defeat my demon lord." another woman replied. Her hair was dark red and two horns are sprouting on her head.

Her skin was silky smooth and her beautiful is on par with the other woman.

"Yes, but no need to worry. I'm patient. There is one problem though." the golden haired woman said.

"is it about that one hero that got killed on the spot? HAHAHA!" the red haired woman teased.

"Yes, sigh~ But I guess this is a good thing. With that child's death, the two little girls right now are going to get motivated."

"What a hypocritical goddess, you are. Even though you could've saved that boy." the red woman replied. "Well, let's just see how the future unfold. Just don't place too much favoritism on the boy with the 'hero' occupation."

"You have no right to order me around." the golden haired goddess just replied as they continued their game of chess.
